Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy

Chapter 400: Is This Mr. Mu Fan?

Mecha named after hawks must have characteristics that are particularly connected to these creatures.

The most eye-catching aspect of the Storm God Thunder Eagle has always been its spectacular and immense appearance; the domineering and unapologetically direct fighting style has left numerous Mechanical Masters who know of this mecha awestruck.

However, no one knows that the radar system of the Storm God Thunder Eagle is among the top tier within Federation territory.

And Ruan Xiongfei, the battle-hardened Mechanical Master recognized by the Thunderhawk, had already thoroughly familiarized himself with the traits of this old friend.

Normal fluctuations appearing on the radar were, in fact, to be expected; the more prominent, the more standard. This mecha's radar possessed an extremely strong error-correction capability and could almost perfectly filter out normal biological activities.

The Thunderhawk, in standby mode, had activated its detection mode aimed at mechas; thus, these slight fluctuations were extremely abnormal for Ruan Xiongfei.

The Thunderhawk, located in the peace zone, rarely carried out special tasks; however, Ruan Xiongfei had only encountered such a situation during the initial stalemate at the border line with the Gardot Empire's forces.

Especially the Huangchuan Fleet, known throughout the Empire for their family's technology, their sorties could only be captured within a certain range by a very few high-tier radars.

The Thunderhawk was one of them!

Now, this situation was occurring again?

"Captain Ruan, what's the matter, is there a situation?" The Lieutenant Colonel on the communication screen noticed Ruan Xiongfei's facial expression and couldn't help but feel puzzled.

This old soldier typically conducted himself with an easygoing nature; he never posed or pretended, and for the past few days, he had been carelessly cursing and scoffing, so why suddenly this expression?

"If my fucking eyes aren't deceiving me... it means some strange shit has snuck into the arena," Ruan Xiongfei smacked his lips, uttering words that made the Lieutenant Colonel on the other end of the screen break out in a cold sweat.

What!? Something strange had snuck into the arena?

The Lieutenant Colonel on the screen immediately summoned a guard, seemingly instructing something, and after a moment, with a puzzled look, he spoke, "Captain Ruan, just now, the regular radar and the fourth-generation strategic early warning radar deployed by the military at 13 locations did not show any anomalies."

Hearing the Lieutenant Colonel's words, Ruan Xiongfei did not relax but glanced at the Lieutenant Colonel and casually said, "The Thunderhawk has already told me there's a problem. Quickly contact the Judgement Department of the Interstellar Mecha Association; they should have placed some high-tier radars this time."

"The good stuff from the Military Department is always either hidden or sent to the front lines. The Expeditionary Army at the borders all have the sixth-generation early warning radars, and we're still using these archaic fourth-generation things here. Are these leeches just too busy pocketing money?"

Ruan Xiongfei, completely disregarding the cold sweat on the Lieutenant Colonel's forehead, spoke sarcastically; after all, this was not the Capital Star Ring teeming with high-ranking officials. Those old adversaries he had dealt with for many years weren't here, and he, Ruan Xiongfei, had no reservations.

"I will find you, you sneaky mouse!"

The Thunderhawk, previously stationary, instantly spread its massive Thunderbolt Wings, and the flashing lightning on those splendid wings evidently startled the Federal mechas.

After spreading its wings, the Thunderhawk did not take to the sky but lifted its enormous iron feet and walked toward the middle deck.

On the screen in front of Ruan Xiongfei, the radar signal began to intensify, indicative of the Thunderhawk's unique directional collection mode.

Within the electronic sphere, Ruan Xiongfei's eyes were fixed on the screen, where images were being separated by different layers; those images would surely reveal the hidden tracks.

...

Under the clear blue sky, there indeed was a cluster of colors that had perfectly merged with the sky's backdrop, moving stealthily.

Only the Land of Bright Star was vast enough to support millions, even tens of millions, of ships, so no one noticed that cluster of color nearly fused with the sky.

The peculiarity was that the radar waves also did not detect any anomalies when scanning the area, of course, referring to the standard radars.

After all, today was the day of the competition co-hosted by the Federation and the Interstellar Mecha Association, two of the universe's major powers. Even though it was a very low-level partnership between the two powers, no one would be foolish enough to come here looking for discomfort.

However, there are always exceptions to every rule, and the shadow that blended with the sky was one such exception.

Beneath that nearly transparent color was a dark and gloomy cockpit.

Completely different from the cockpits within the Federation territories, here the control panel was fragmented, replaced by some strange black tentacles.

Enclosed by the black tentacles at the center, there was a hulking giant with fourteen tubes stabbing into his back, hanging his head low in the midst.

Occasionally when his eyes opened, one could see those yellow pupils, but they seemed to lack focus as if staring blankly.

At this moment, the giant suddenly laughed deeply, his laughter rolling like thunder in one's ears.

"The thrill of looming over my opponent's intelligence is so exhilarating. The Flowing Light Heavenly Eagle that could see through the snake shadow mode has now gone to Zhongjing City, hahaha~ I love this feeling!"

The yellow pupils of the Andumari fixated on the several kilometers below, where on the rock face stood a black mech in solemn silence.

"You've made it easy for me to find you. Now, you will die in full view of everyone, hmm? The very thought... excites me!" His yellow pupils gleamed with a ruthless light.

Hmm!?

At that moment, a ripple appeared in this eerie and sinister cockpit.

As the ripple emerged, the Andumari who had been keeping his head down suddenly lifted it.

"Scan disturbances? There's actually a high-tier radar present here?"

Eyes behind the mask started sparkling with intelligence.

"I take back what I said earlier, it turns out you're not completely useless. But, it will probably take some time before you can lock on to this location, right? Hahahaha!"

His massive body shook, and his unrestrained laughter echoed through the cockpit.

The Andumari was correct, after the Federation military had contacted the Interstellar Mecha Association, the Association's monitoring room replied to the military that they too had detected a faint disturbance.

However, after a thorough search, they found no anomalies. Considering the current covetous gaze of the many warships, they did not take it to heart.

But upon learning that this intel was provided by the owner of the Thunderhawk, the Mecha Association finally started paying attention.

In their eyes, Ruan Xiongfei's words carried a weight completely on par with that of the Skyhawk Martial God!

"These profit-oriented fools!"

The Lieutenant Colonel, watching the Mecha Association's monitoring room finally bustle into action, couldn't help but curse inwardly.

The four mechs in the distance, gazing at the black mech on the rock face, each swallowed hard.

The situation was to kill the previous throne occupier, yet he didn't take the throne himself.

Did that mean their opportunity had arrived?

Fortune favors the bold, so if the other party made no move, then it was time to strike and quickly gain points by seizing the throne.

But all four Mechanical Masters harbored this thought, so they awkwardly stood their ground.

As they were in deadlock, the black mech started to move.

The Extreme Special Soldier casually drew the Flame Rain Frost Blue, ready to leap into the ravine.

However, just as Mu Fan was manipulating the mech to turn around, a calm yet rough inquiry unexpectedly sounded from the sky.

Although it was a question, the tone was merely a flat statement, and in the voice, there was an indescribable sense of danger:

"Excuse me, is this Mr. Mu Fan?"
