Me, A Villain! Is It So Wrong To Live off The Heroines?

Chapter 29 - The Ever-Remembered Mission of Honor

Chapter 029: The Ever-Remembered Mission of Honor

Seeing An Mushui acting all mysterious, Su Mingxuan felt a little helpless.

Why did women always like being cryptic? Couldn’t they just say things directly?

When she noticed his silence and the shake of his head, An Mushui gazed at him softly and asked in a low voice, “Do you… want to eat something?”

This was her private room—normally she wouldn’t host anyone here. Whenever she was in a bad mood or under a lot of pressure, she’d come here. Everything in this room had been arranged by her personally. The tulips filling the room were the light in her heart.

“You’re the boss lady. You decide,” Su Mingxuan said casually, placing the crystal flower on the table.

An Mushui nodded, called a waiter in, and after ordering two Western meals and a bottle of red wine, she told them to leave and shut the door.

“Try the house specialty steak,” she said softly, looking at him.

Su Mingxuan nodded. “President An, did you bring the contract?” His expression turned a little serious.

An Mushui immediately gave him a pitiful look. Why was he always like this?

Su Mingxuan was confused. Did she think he came all this way just for steak?

“Let’s handle the business first,” he said with a calm smile.

“Okay…” An Mushui reluctantly pulled out a file folder from her bag and placed a stack of papers between them.

“Young Master Su…, take a look,” she said in a quiet voice.

Su Mingxuan accepted it. When it came to business, he never got careless. This wasn’t about trust—it was about responsibility. He took ten full minutes to review all the clauses carefully before finally setting the document down.

“No issues. We can go ahead and sign. But the investment amount needs to be adjusted. The initial investment will go from ten billion to twenty billion, with follow-up injections likely totaling around one hundred fifty billion.”

Because the investment amount was variable, there was space left in the contract to handwrite the figure. An Mushui looked surprised. “Why suddenly increase the investment?”

Su Mingxuan gave a mysterious smile. “Not telling.”

An Mushui felt even more wronged and could only look at him in silence as she picked up the pen and signed her name.

Su Mingxuan adjusted the figures and passed the contract back. “Alright. Legal’s already reviewed it. Just needs your signature… but be sure—you’ll officially be working for me.”

An Mushui smiled brightly, picked up the pen, and signed at the bottom. The contract was now in effect.

“Young Master Su~~ please take care of me from now on,” she said, gazing at him with affection.

Su Mingxuan blinked.

That sounded… oddly ambiguous.

Before he could respond, the private room door opened and waiters came in carrying their food and the wine.

“Boss, here’s what you ordered. Please enjoy,” one said politely as they placed everything on the table.

An Mushui gave a light nod and handed out a tip, then sent them away.

Pop—An Mushui opened the wine bottle herself and poured them each a glass.

“Su Mingxuan… thank you,” she said gently, raising her glass with eyes as soft as water.

Switching between calling him Su Shao and Su Mingxuan… he really couldn’t figure out what was going on in this woman’s head. But he still raised his glass and toasted her.

A sip of wine later, An Mushui’s cheeks were even more radiant, her eyes shimmering faintly.

“Would you like to hear a story?” she asked quietly.

Su Mingxuan paused. “What kind of story? Not something like Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, right?” he joked.

“Ugh, you’re so annoying!” she said with a playful pout. “Of course not!”

That charming, girlish expression made Su Mingxuan’s heart skip a beat. He had to admit—from looks alone, she was one in a million.

He chuckled and said, “Alright, go ahead. I’m listening.”

Seeing him agree, she looked pleased. Her eyes glimmered as she asked, “Su Mingxuan, do you remember the girl you met five years ago in Country F?”

Su Mingxuan was confused. “Hmm… I don’t think so.”

C’mon little lady, I met way too many girls back then. How would I know which one you’re talking about?

Back then, he may have been single—but his brother wasn’t. A man has to help his comrade bring honor to the motherland, right?

[TL: This is an innuendo to his thing down there you know what I mean right? And this author is a clean freak by the way the girls he got with were all virgins and pure and so on. I myself have no issue with that though I am just pointing this out before we move on. Have fun reading].

He was handsome, wealthy, and charming. The girls in Country F were romantic and open-minded. Su Mingxuan had a strong sense of patriotism, and when abroad, he never passed up the chance to serve the national image.

Honor and mission—those were always at the forefront of his mind.

No country, no home. No home, no him. So when overseas, he made the most of his opportunities.

Could it be she was one of those “comrades-in-arms” from the past, now here to collect a debt? No way… right?

Su Mingxuan stared at her, a strange look on his face. As far as he remembered, none of them were locals…

Then why bring this up now?
