MCU : The Seventh Avenger

Chapter 7: 6. First Team Meeting. Kinda.

Kabir, Steve, Bruce and Natasha are now in the Helicarrier along with Thor as they are standing beside Fury and Hill. Steve and Kabir are seated near a large round table after they managed to get Loki. They are currently in the bridge as Steve and Kabir looked at the video clip of Loki who is in a cell of sorts before it went away. Kabir is seated to the captain's right.

"He really grows on you doesn't he?" Bruce said to them.

"He's gonna drag this out." Steve said to them.

"He doesn't seem concerned that he is in a cell." Kabir said as he looked his temporary team.

"Well, he is an Asgardian. I'm sure he is justified for that." Natasha said in response to which Kabir nodded his head as well.

"Thor? What's his play?" Steve asked him as the others looked at him.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They are not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth and in return I suspect for the Tesseract." Thor said to them.

"An army? From outer space" Steve repeated seriously as he looked at the others.

"Well that's horrible. Human's currently don't have the technology to fight with aliens." Kabir said to them.

"So he's creating another portal. That's why he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce said to them.

"Slevig?" Thor questions when he hears the name.

"He's an astrophysicist." Bruce said to him.

"He's a friend." Thor said in return.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of our own." Natasha said to him.

"That doesn't bode well." Kabir said to himself as he thought about what Loki would do to the scientist after the portal is created.

"I want to know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here." Steve said to them.

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guys brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him." Bruce said to the Captain.

"Have care of how you speak. Loki may be beyond reason but he is of Asgard and my brother." Thor said to him when he heard that.

"He killed 80 people in two days." Natasha said in response.

"I've killed more in one day. Though not innocents." Kabir muttered quietly to himself.

"He's adopted." Thor corrected himself when he heard that as he is oblivious to what Kabir just said.

"I think it's about mechanics. Iridium, what do they need it for?" Bruce said as he voiced his question.

"It's a stabilizing agent." Tony said as he walked into the hall from a corridor catching the attention of the others.

He then said a few things to Coulson before he turned to look at them.

"Means the portal won't collapse on itself like it did in SHIELD. No hard feelings point break, you got a mean swing." Tony said as he walked beside Thor as he lightly hit his arm two times.

Thor looked at Tony at that while the others also looked at him with Kabir having all his attention on him.

"Also, it means that the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as he wants." Tony said as he stands in front of four screens.

After that he started to give some orders which got him a few looks from the agents before he said that one agent is playing galaga. He then puts his left hand on the left side of his face as he looks at the screen to his left.

"How does Fury even see this?" Tony asked as he looked at Hill.

"He turns." Hill said to him.

"Sounds exhausting." Tony said as he started to fiddle with the screen.

"Well, putting that aside, except for Iridium, the rest of the raw materials needed for the portal can be retrieved easily by Agent Barton." Kabir said drawing the attention of the others as Tony looked at him.

"Correct. What he then needs is a major power source to, you know, kick start the machine." Tony said as he placed a device under the screen.

Kabir narrowed his eyes as he caught what the man is doing but he didn't say anything and chose to stay silent.

"When did the two of you become experts in Thermonuclear Astrophysics?" Hill asked the two of them.

"Last night." Tony said to her immediately.

"On my way here." Kabir said immediately as well.

This got them both looks from Hill before he sighed as she shook her head.

"Selvig's papers. The extraction theory papers." Tony said to them.

"They're quite interesting." Kabir said to them.

"Does Loki need any specific kind of power source?" Steve said as he tried to steer then conversation back to the topic.

"He'd have to heat the cube upto 120 million Kelvin just to break through the coulomb barrier." Bruce said as Tony spread his arms for emphasis.

"Unless Selvig has figured how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect." Tony continued after the doctor.

"Well if that's the case then he can achieve heavy ion fusion in any reactor on the planet." Kabir continued after Tony.

"What kind of agent were you again?" Steve asked him when he heard Kabir talk with the two scientists.

"I never did tell you that. But I'm a RAW agent, intelligence gathering. So I have to be able to do that." Kabir said getting a slow nod from Steve.

"Well, I finally someone who speaks English." Tony said as he moved towards Bruce and Kabir.

"Is that what happened?" Steve muttered which caused Kabir to have an amused look on his face.

"It's good to meet you Dr. Banner. Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster." Tony said making the doctor look down while the others who knew about the doctor's condition looked at him.

"Thanks." Bruce said uncertainly.

"Dr. Banner is only here to help us look for the cube. I was hoping you would join him." Fury said to them.

"I may be magical but it looks an awful lot like the Hydra." Steve said to them.

"I don't know about that. But it is powered by the cube. And I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." Fury said seriously.

"Monkeys? I don't understand." Thor said confused.

"I do." Steve enthusiastically said.

This caused Bruce to look around while Tony let our a sigh with an exasperated look.

"I understood that reference." Steve said with a smile as he looked at Bruce, Tony and Kabir.

Kabir just chuckled before he got up.

"Well, I'll be with these two scientists and try to help as much as I can." Kabir said to them.

"Well, shall we play?" Tony asked the two of them.

Bruce and Kabir just nodded to him before they followed after the billionaire.
