Matrix Survival: I Get A Random Chest Every Day

Chapter 281: Are You Willing to Help Me? (Double-length)

The BOSS is dead, and the remaining biochemical monsters are nothing to fear. The strongest is just a Platinum Level zombie hidden in the monster pile, which Li Zheng and Zhan Zhouzhou easily took down together.

When Xiao Siyuan and the others arrived and started cleaning up, Li Zheng had already gathered all the monster corpses that could be decomposed and was chatting with Zhan Zhouzhou in a clean, open space.

"Oh my God!" Lu Li exclaimed upon seeing the two of them, "You guys are too fierce, aren't you? Was it necessary to tear this place apart just to fight a BOSS?"

Xiao Siyuan, who is considered the calm one, was also wide-eyed upon seeing the heavily damaged buildings around them, with large holes in many of the walls.

These concrete buildings are not as simple as they look, who knows what materials are mixed in to make them so solid.

They had tried to break these concrete walls as they cleared the way, needing at least Platinum Level firearms to inflict any significant damage.

The fact that Li Zheng and his team managed to destroy so many walls in such a short time was terrifying.

"It wasn't us who did that," Li Zheng briefly explained. Most of the damage they saw was caused by the monsters that came to aid the BOSS, not directly related to him and Zhan Zhouzhou.

"Being able to strengthen other zombie monsters to near Diamond levels..." Xiao Siyuan felt a sweat after understanding the situation.

Luckily, Li Zheng and his team never follow the usual routine; the first thing they do when entering a dungeon is to find the BOSS.

If they had followed the usual dungeon routine and waited patiently for the final BOSS to be born, the difficulty of this run would have been unimaginably high!

"Everyone is here," Li Zheng checked the dungeon exploration status, confirming it was at 100 percent, then pointed to some corpses and disassembled equipment and said, "Let's start decomposing and dividing the loot."

The items that players could decompose were not many, namely the BOSS known as the "Divine Son", the Ghost Lion, the later eliminated Platinum Level zombie, and those pipelines supplying nutrients to the embryos.

Li Zheng had tried to decompose the buildings here, but was stopped by the Terminal. Otherwise, he also wanted to see what materials were mixed into these buildings to be able to imprison monsters with Platinum Level combat power.

The task of decomposition was left to Lu Li and Lin Fengjiao, who worked together and soon completed it.

Unexpectedly for Li Zheng and the others, the decomposition did not yield any biochemical or zombie viruses but something called "Divine Gene."

[First Generation Divine Gene

Tier: Diamond

Type: Special Enhancement Item

Effect: When injected into the body, there is a chance to greatly optimize genes and gain a special Genetic Ability.

Description: A mysterious gene unintentionally discovered and improved by the Ancient Frog Race. As a first-generation version, its stability is extremely poor.

Note: This item is extremely dangerous, please use with caution!]

This was decomposed from the BOSS. There are only three pieces in total. From the outside, they appear to be bright silver metal syringes filled with dark green liquid. Once used, the syringes disappear and can't be reused.

[First Generation Divine Gene (Diluted)

Tier: Platinum

Type: Special Enhancement Item

Effect: When injected into the body, there is a chance to slightly optimize genes, a small chance to develop a special Genetic Ability, and a high chance to cause flesh mutation.

Description: Extracted from the Divine Creation experiments of the Ancient Frog Race, the effect is greatly reduced due to being too diluted, but the risk remains extremely high.

Note: This item is extremely dangerous, do not attempt easily!

Hint: Once collected in sufficient quantity, it can be purified and compressed into a "First Generation Divine Gene" (Diamond Level) using designated equipment.]

These items decomposed from the Ghost Lion and the Platinum Level zombie, totaling twelve pieces, are relatively less valuable.

Besides these Divine Genes, the Ghost Lion also produced some skin and fur contaminated by corrupt aura (Silver Level) *20, contaminated lion claws *16 (Silver Level), and a contaminated Ghost Lion Heart *1 (Silver Level).

The Platinum Level zombie originated from a creature known as the long-armed Iron Armor Ape, also decomposed into some contaminated materials, with value similarly not high, at most reaching Gold Level.

The pipes supplying nutrients are surprisingly the most valuable.

They decomposed into a large number of Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots, and other basic materials, and obtained different tiers of special materials, even including a "Reinforced Plastic" material Li Zheng had never seen before.

[Reinforced Plastic

Tier: None

Type: Material

Description: A material with extremely high plasticity. Essentially not plastic but a more advanced chemical product, one of the indispensable base materials for manufacturing memory metals.]

Notably, the thick liquids that leaked from the pipes evaporated cleanly in a short time, so quickly that Li Zheng and his team couldn't even collect them, let alone know what they were called.

"The loot is a bit thin," Zhan Zhouzhou glanced at Li Zheng.

"Yeah, it's indeed a bit thin," Li Zheng nodded, staying calm.

He knew what Zhan Zhouzhou meant.

Because the BOSS was forcibly generated, like a premature child, the decomposition yield was reduced.

In fact, if Li Zheng had taken Zhan Zhouzhou's suggestion to calmly clear the other monsters with her first and waited for the BOSS to be born naturally, they might have gotten more "Divine Genes."

But it couldn't be helped. All dungeons were unknowns to them, and no one knew how their decisions might impact the dungeon.

"But the difficulty was reduced, wasn't it?" Li Zheng said calmly.
