Chapter 2608: 2608. Meeting Dark and Light

With the dark wing race a little more organized, Walker realized that they had no desire to just stay within the dark territory or near the dark elemental spirit tree.

It seemed they wanted to follow him.

"I understand you are curious about Genesis and myself. However, the angel representatives will still be a few hours before they are ready to meet. If you follow me you will have to deal with the light mana dense territory. It could harm you."

His concern was clear and not at all anything that would make it seem like he didn't want them around. On the contrary, Walker wanted to focus more on the dark wing race. He wanted to hear their history and what about their race changed and when to adapt to the dark elemental plane.

"We will still follow you if only within your shadow. Your shadow feels different. Very large. You have space magic too?" Blinking with a slight surprise, Walker wondered how the leading dark wing race member was able to feel that.

"Your shadow is deeper. It's like the boundaries we roam. Mixed with manas. But larger than it seems."

It made sense. The dark wing race didn't sense space mana within his shadow but the mix of all manas and how they were similar to the meeting of elemental planes. The boundaries were unique as the only places where mana mixed within the elemental planes. Meaning that sensing them as the same as Walker's shadow might not be as surprising as it might seem.

It also raises the question, did the entire aura or area around Walker lend itself to showing his nature as an origin race member? Would manas naturally be around him in a United way? He attracted natural mana much more than n others with Fleur often dwelling within the spirit marks on his body and his need for natural mana to enhance his body and magic was constant.

"That's good to know, I never considered how even my shadow might be a place that the manas I attract and bring to myself for use might linger. Often I keep my mana control and the manas around me calm and in balance. I may be missing some of that without conscious thought."

The dark wing race members had mostly taken shadow forms and began moving in and out of Walker's shadow, however, the leader smiled slightly and seemed glad that they gave him a little information that could be helpful, he didn't say a word when he noticed another dark wing race member recording it too.

It seemed that to them, recording the wonders they saw was part of who and what they were as a race. Just the sights of different plants and buildings along with races and workers was enough to fill multiple books. Walker pretended not to see that a rough title, world sage, had been written on the top of the book they were writing about him.

It felt odd being watched and recorded openly, but what was new with that? He had been making waves in the world for some time now. He'd seen people write short stories or records about working with him or under him already. A few researchers even wrote theories revolving around some of the things he'd learned or his discoveries, specifically in crafting.

" I am about to use a stronger resistance buff. It will resist more light mana and it will also spur the life mana within all of you. It will feel strange since you might not have met anyone able to enhance a buff with your innate life mana connecting to a resistance." This seemed to slow the movement of the dark wing race leader.

"I take that as you are not aware or used to hearing about people we may use life mana. Then prepare yourselves mentally, it will be very odd." Walker opened his hands to face his palms toward the now stationary shadows and darkened ing race members.

His focus on his own life mana and then detecting the mass of life mana associated with the dark wing race members was surprisingly easy. It was a little unsettled most likely from the change in environment.

Yet, when the mana Walker used of his own to interact with them connected, their life mana seemed to calm. It was mana that was not able or not allowed to be abused since life mana was a core aspect of what made everything what it was. The same could be said for death mana as well, to exist and was not easily abused or forced to do anything against its nature.

As he pushed the mana to enhance natural resistance while also casting his own buff using dark mana to resist light mana, it was clear that the mana condensing was closer to the dark wing race. The mana settled on them even in their shadowy forms like a protective layer connected deeply with them at their core.

"I feel it. It's connected to me and I can will it away. How amazing." It wasn't spoken as a compliment but a comment to himself. The dark wing race leader here was intrigued beyond a doubt that this was a unique experience he'd never be part of or witness if he hadn't led his people to explore the world he'd heard about.

The overwhelming safety that the dark wing race members felt in this moment was beyond anything else. As a nomadic race that traveled with curiosity, it was not uncommon for them to fight monsters well above their strength, to clash with other races and lose their members.

Yet this place, it was safe. It was welcoming. There were people willing to use magic they have never seen to protect them. Share knowledge. Ensure that the entire territory was not a battleground to pursue strength and follow a guardian's will. They worked together despite differences.

The light mana as they ventured close and in to the light territory was dense but the resistance buffs Walker had applied paired with the dark wing race's natural resistances and their own buffs, the light barely tickled them. While it was slightly uncomfortable and their shadow forms shifted a little, they all seemed more than fine.

"Your resistance are very developed. All the traveling of your race along the edges of the dark elemental plane and the boundaries is paying off." Walker wondered how many other races might have similar habits and beliefs to roam about more often.

With the shifting of the elemental planes, there should be many more nomadic races than stationary. That all depended on whether there were guardians for them though. The anchors for some area, the elemental dominator dragons served as those who ensured protection and peace in some areas. There had to be costs to some degree for that protection.

Some races might not feel the ability to desire to be governed by those anchors or guardians. It could be against their culture or not match with their goals.

When some of the radiant light elves felt the change in mana, specifically the dark mana Walker was keeping close to himself to assist the dark wing race, they halted their conversations. "Sorry for leaving for a short while. I greeted the new guests of Genesis, the dark wing race. They descended from angels of ancient times and came to learn of the world. They are also curious about you, the radiant light elves as well. You are from the light elemental plane and then the dark. Extremely different but also balanced within the world."

The introduction was short and sweet and it was clear that the moving shadow forms could not show themselves. The leader and a few of the stronger dark wing race members did tough it out the uncomfortable feeling of light mana to show themselves properly.

To greet the radiant light elves and the others of the world as well.

"They will remain close to me for their safety but they can handle some light mana due to their personal training.

I am sure they would like to learn from everyone here." The motive words calmed any of the radiant light elves who were naturally worried about the dark mana density with Walker. Especially since he also casted buffs in them.

"So you wandered away and came back with even more new people to meet everyone. This seems to be a daily event for you now." Gil walked over and introduced himself after teasing Walker a bit. From his perspective, Walker always had something like this happening. It would be a wonder for him to have a casual and relaxing day by comparison.

"Just don't go trying to make them teach you about arrows and infusing dark mana in to arrows right away. They might not have a lot of archery for you to steal from them." The two messing around a little welcomed more calm and levity to the situation. The dark wing race members became more confident in showing themselves despite the light mana.

Their curiosity wouldn't allow them to miss this chance.
