[Successfully contained anomaly: Power of the Titans—Armored Titan.]

[Containment level: Category 3 hazard, containment status: Stable.]

[Reward: Two Level-3 draws.]

The system's notification sounded in his mind.

Haruto nodded in satisfaction.

"Nice!"

Reiner and Bertholdt were taken away by the Survey Corps for interrogation and imprisonment. By the time they left, they were wrapped up like mummies.

Annie looked a little concerned.

However, after some words from Haruto, she quickly let go of that concern. After all, the worst that could happen to Reiner and Bertholdt was captivity.

Killing them was not an option, as the Power of the Titans would randomly transfer.

Even torturing them was out of the question.

If they were wounded and pushed to desperation, they might transform on the spot—perhaps even triggering a Colossal Titan explosion.

The Survey Corps had captured them only to detain them and conduct verbal interrogations.

And in any case, Haruto had already spoiled all the critical information.

With that matter settled, the recruits of the 104th Training Corps were sent back. This containment mission had resulted in no deaths, though a few Survey Corps soldiers suffered burns.

None of them were severe, however.

In other words, this was humanity's first major victory.

Unfortunately, the Survey Corps couldn't bring themselves to celebrate. Because of Haruto's existence, although Annie's identity as a Titan was exposed, she was still free to move around.

Additionally, based on how Haruto's had warned off Ymir and the others, Erwin deduced that there were more Titans among them.

However, he did not pursue the matter.

He merely sighed.

The 104th Training Corps truly was full of hidden talents.

As far as Erwin knew, there were at least five Titan Shifters among the 104th. (Counting Haruto.)

There were only nine Intelligent Titans in total.

And yet, Erwin had underestimated.

Excluding Haruto, there were actually six Titan Shifters in the 104th—two-thirds of all Intelligent Titans.

Eren held the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan, Annie had the Female Titan, Ymir had the Jaw Titan, Bertholdt had the Colossal Titan, and Reiner had the Armored Titan.

Truly a gathering of legends.

But back to the main story.

After returning to the Training Corps, the 104th recruits were all restless. The sudden appearance of the Colossal Titan left them deeply shaken.

Four of their comrades had not returned.

Reiner and Bertholdt, along with Haruto and Annie.

This made the recruits uneasy, unable to sleep or eat well. Ymir and Historia, after returning, were particularly worried about Haruto. Although they had seen him briefly after the mission; where he informed them that he would be leaving for a while—

Worry was worry.

The entire 104th was silent, with one exception.

Eren was running around, demanding to know what had happened. However, the instructors refused to give him any answers.

Mikasa, watching Eren's frustration, only grew more anxious.

Under this heavy atmosphere, training life continued for more than a week.

Then, one morning, an astonishing piece of news spread.

So widespread and shocking was this news that even the recruits confined in the Training Corps caught wind of it.

That morning, Keith gathered all the recruits in one place.

Sweeping his gaze over them, he announced in a loud voice'

"I assume you've heard rumors about the royal family in recent days."

The recruits of the 104th exchanged glances, their expressions growing excited.

They had indeed heard bits and pieces, and the rumors were so shocking that they were dying to know the truth.

Now, it seemed the instructor was about to reveal everything.

"The rumors are mostly true. The royal government was corrupt. The nobles buried the true royal family and installed a puppet on the throne. For years, the royal government and nobles suppressed technological advancements, preventing the Survey Corps from upgrading their equipment.

The fall of Wall Maria, the senseless deaths of 250,000 civilians, and countless other disasters—all of these bear the responsibility of the royal government.

Now, under the leadership of the President, the involved nobles have been brought to trial, the false king has been imprisoned, and the decision-making power has temporarily fallen to the military."

Before Keith even finished speaking, an uproar broke out.

"What a joke! The nobles really put a fake king on the throne?!"

"Suppressing technology?! Even with the Titan threat, they still fought for power?!"

"Damn those nobles! Damn the royal government! My family was wiped out because of them!"

What would have once been considered treasonous words now echoed loudly and repeatedly. Of course, the fall of Wall Maria wasn't entirely the royal government's fault.

But suppressing technological advancement was undeniably damaging.

The nobles of the royal government had collapsed under their own weight—there was no question of wrongful accusations here.

Amid the crowd, Ymir and Historia exchanged glances.

Both saw the shock in each other's eyes.

"What did he say the steps to saving humanity were again?"

Ymir muttered under her breath.

Historia thought for a moment before replying:

"Haru said something like... first eliminate the Titans, then overthrow the government to make everyone equal. I don't remember the rest."

Uh...

"This... was this his doing?" Ymir asked in disbelief.

Historia did not answer.

But deep down, she vaguely felt that this was exactly what Haruto had done.

He was truly saving humanity.

"However, this has nothing to do with you all," Keith said coldly. "Train properly!"

Although he said this, it was clear that everyone's training was somewhat absent-minded. Meanwhile, outside the regiment, after causing a great uproar among the people inside the walls…

Everything soon calmed down.

A change in regime actually had little to do with most people.

It was policy changes that mattered.

So, the people's excitement came quickly and disappeared just as fast.

At this moment, Haruto was wandering around inside the regiment with Annie.

On the eve of the incident, Haruto had given the regiment the supply crates he had brought. As a result, the operation to eradicate the noble's private soldiers went smoothly.

It was hard for it not to.

After all, bulletproof vests + bulletproof helmets + fully automatic weapons vs. muskets.

How could it not go smoothly?

Could 7.62 mm. caliber rounds possibly lose to low-quality gunpowder mixed with iron balls?

The government of the world within the walls had been overthrown. Six of the intelligent Titans were already under control. By the looks of it, the Beast Titan and Cart Titan would soon arrive on the island, only to get themselves killed.

Once they were captured, only the War Hammer Titan in mainland Marley would remain.

Afterward, a trip to Marley to capture the War Hammer Titan and take Annie's father away…

And the purpose of coming to the world of Titans would be nearly complete.
