Chapter 39 Looking for Natasha
Therefore, after he left the base, he went straight to the SHIELD headquarters in Washington. He needed to find Nick Fury to find out Natasha's whereabouts. .1kanshu
After looking at the magnificent building in front of him, Rhaegar walked in steadily.
People were coming and going in the hall, and in the center was an iconic eagle with its wings spread. Rhaegar couldn't help but curl his lips.
After all, it is an organization founded by Americans, so we never forget to display this eagle wherever we go.
Rhaegar bypassed the sign, went through identification, and then took the elevator directly to Fury's office.
After opening the door, Fury was sitting on a chair with his back to Rhaegar, looking out the window.
"Hey, Fury, where's Natasha?" Rhaegar opened the door and asked carelessly.
Fury did not look back and said lazily, "You know, it is a basic courtesy to knock on the door first when entering someone else's office."
"Of course you have to be polite to others, but not to you." Rhaegar said nonchalantly.
Fury turned with a dark face and stared at Rhaegar.
Feeling that Fury's eyes were a little unkind, Rhaegar waved his hand, "Okay, okay, I'll knock on the door next time."
Fury's expression softened a little.
"No more nonsense. I have something to do with Natasha, but I can't contact her. Do you know where she is?" Rega asked.
"Agent Romanoff went out on a mission." Fury leaned back to make himself more comfortable.
"I knew it," Rhaegar muttered, "Where has she gone?"
"Sorry, for the sake of confidentiality, one agent cannot ask what the mission of another agent is. This is also our principle." Fury said.
"I know that you have principles, and you have many principles," Rhaegar said impatiently, "but I have an emergency with her and need to contact her immediately."
"What emergency?" Fury asked.
"Sorry, this is a secret and cannot be told to others." Rhaegar shook his head.
Fury's face froze.
"Where did Natasha go to perform the mission? You only need to tell me the address, and I can go directly to find her," Rega said, "With me here, the mission should be completed better."
"Not necessarily," Fury refused expressionlessly, "Although you are very strong, you are far behind in other aspects, and Agent Romanoff has some abilities that you don't have."
"I know, I guess she's an undercover agent or something," Rega waved his hand, "Stop talking nonsense, tell me where she went?"
Fury remained expressionless.
Seeing that Fury still didn't say a word, Rhaegar was a little helpless. After all, he couldn't use force on this guy, and it was estimated that using force would have no effect. At this time, he couldn't help but envy Professor X's ability to take things directly from your mind, regardless of whether you agree or not.
Suddenly, Rega remembered something, raised the corner of his mouth, and suddenly had an idea.
"What are you laughing at?" Fury asked.
"Oh, it's nothing. I just suddenly remembered how your investigation went on regarding the internal issues within SHIELD. Is there any progress?" Rhaegar chuckled.
Fury's face turned serious and he gave the command to the computer, "Seal the office."
Then, he stood up, walked to Rhaegar, and stared at Rhaegar closely.
Rhaegar felt a little uncomfortable and said softly, "You are too close to me. I am not used to a man being so close to me."
Fury was unmoved and asked, "What do you know?"
"I asked you first," Rhaegar did not answer his question, "How is your investigation going?"
"There is some progress."
"Oh?"
"There is a man, Jasper Sitwell." Fury said solemnly.
Rhaegar was noncommittal.
"What's wrong?" Fury noticed Rhaegar's expression.
"It's nothing."
"Who else do you know?" Fury was a little anxious.
"Maybe I know." Rhaegar turned around, sat down on the sofa, and crossed his legs.
Fury had a cold face.
Rhaegar pretended to look at the surrounding environment.
"Can I tell you where Natasha is?"
"And then." Rhaegar snorted.
"In exchange, you tell me who else," Fury said.
"I said, your business is doing too well." Rega put down his crossed legs and mocked him.
"What do you mean?" Fury raised his eyebrows.
"It's too cheap for you to exchange information that is of no use to you for important information that may affect SHIELD's life or death." Rhaegar curled his lips.
Fury's expression froze.
"You have to know how much damage that person will bring to SHIELD in one day." Fury was a little anxious.
"I know, so what?" Rhaegar suddenly stood up and said in a deep voice, "I don't care about SHIELD's life or death."
Fury was a little shocked, "What did you say?"
"I say, I don't care whether SHIELD exists or disappears." Rhaegar repeated slowly.
"Then why did you join SHIELD?"
"You should know very well."
"Natasha."
"Not quite, but almost."
"So, if Natasha wasn't here, you wouldn't stay?" Fury's expression was extremely ugly.
"It should be said that if I didn't want to stay in SHIELD, I wouldn't stay." Rhaegar corrected.
Fury's face was as gloomy as water, and his eyes were a little evil.
Rhaegar didn't shy away, just looking at Fury like that.
After a long time, Fury suddenly relaxed his body, sat down, and uttered a few words, "Natasha went to Iran."
"Iran?" Rega had some questions after hearing this place, "What are you going to do there?"
"She's going to escort a nuclear physics engineer out of there." Fury said calmly.
A piece of information suddenly flashed in Rhaegar's mind.
"What the hell!" Rhaegar cursed in a low voice.
"What's wrong?" Fury was a little surprised. Why was he so excited if he was just going to Iran? Although the United States and Iran are in a state of hostility, it is precisely because of this that agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. often visit.
"Has she contacted you recently?" Rhaegar asked quickly.
"Have."
"Where is she now?" Rhaegar took a step forward and grabbed Fury's arm tightly with both hands. The strength was so strong that even a tempered person like Fury could not bear it.
Fury frowned and asked the computer to bring up Natasha's real-time location, and a world map appeared on the big screen opposite.
"Near Odessa." Fury pointed to the flashing red dot on the map.
"Send me her location." Before Rega could finish his words, he turned around and ran out the door.
