Chapter 50: Chapter 49: Shock! Immortal Reincarnation!

In the following period of time, Leon Lake and his group seemed to be blessed by the goddess of luck.

The group first found ammunition supplies, and then the Tau-5-Samsara team sent by the Foundation successfully reunited with the group.

Although there were only four people in the Samsara Rescue Team, everyone felt relieved when they saw that they were armed to the teeth.

The leader of the Reincarnation Rescue Team is T-5 Irantu, who at the moment is negotiating with Ross and other team leaders.

Jack leaned over to Leon Lake, looking at them with envy, while reading out their equipment like a dish:

"Anti-thaumaturgical ward implants, Cento-Occult-III environmental awareness system, cyber-enhancements including wall-mounted high-explosive cannons, leg shock-absorbing kits, heat-resistant plating, and adaptive eye-embedded SCRAMBLE devices..."

By the end, envy turned into jealousy: "Damn, the only high-tech thing on our body is this crappy SCRAMBLE device, and it almost didn't work!"

Houston chuckled: "Don't you always say that firepower is the romance of men? Why are you interested in iron lumps?"

Jack was about to retort when Ross shouted.

The three of them walked over, and just as Jack was about to speak, T-5 Irantu pointed at his intercom and said, "Microphone."

Jack's face darkened. "Do we really have to record all of this?"

"Hey Jack! Shut your filthy mouth and do what he says."

Jack shrugged, "You have the final say, King Kong!"

T-5 Irantu was not angry about the nickname Jack gave him, but politely said:

"Thank you! Onru just finished designing the evacuation plan. Let her explain it."

T-5 Onru is a female team member. Compared to the exaggerated mechas of other Samsara team members, her equipment is much lighter.

"The route we took was destroyed by the anomalous entity in the data center. After talking with Dr. Scott and his colleagues, we planned a route to get as far away from the main threat as possible." Onru paused:

"Unfortunately, we know very little about the threat, and even Dr. Scott doesn't have full information on all the objects contained within the site. So... we still have to be extra careful."

Seeing everyone's confused faces, she blinked unconfidently: "Have I made myself clear enough?"

Everyone: "…"

What's the difference between saying it and not saying it?

Jack curled his lips: "Yeah, maybe?"

Ross glared at him, then asked, "So, how should we go?"

Upon hearing this, Onru immediately stretched out her left arm and turned on the projection function.

Soon, a 3D holographic map appeared before everyone's eyes.

The entirety of SCP-1730 appears to be an umbrella, with the area beneath the ground resembling a long, thin handle.

According to Onru, more than half of the area is an incinerator!

There are countless places marked as red-dangerous.

In a sense, there is almost no absolutely safe place in this site.

She pointed to a green dot and said, "We entered from here and here. The biggest problem at the moment is that the lower level of this site is unstable."

Then she pointed to a white building and said, "According to the proposal of Dr. Scott and Captain Hollis, we will first head to this area of the facility. The Thresher device is also there. It is it that causes... spatial instability."

Onru paused, then pointed her finger to mark a green path:

"Although we cannot destroy the equipment without endangering our lives and the lives of the personnel on the ground, we can at least temporarily cut off its power supply and maintain a relatively stable way out, here."

Hollis, the leader of Mobile Task Force Z-9 Mole Rats, added: "I got lost shortly after entering, and ended up in that room, where I was attacked by some subtle creatures. Perhaps they were carrying some kind of anti-meme."

"Antimeme?" Ross frowned. "What kind of creature?"

"I'm not sure, but it looks like a winged insect?" Hollis said uncertainly:

"I was able to escape, but they're definitely still far away. That machine draws an incredible amount of power from the rest of the site's energy sources, and the creatures I saw feed on that, so... that's where it must be."

Irantu, the leader of T-5, began to assign tasks:

"Tau-5 (Samsara) will occupy the key points, Zeta-9 (Mole Rats) will be responsible for left and right guards, and Epsilon-11 (Nine-Tailed Fox) will cover the rear."

"Healthy survivors stay back, seriously injured stay forward where Tau-5 is stationed."

Irantu looked at his team at last. "If we are flanked or pursued, follow standard multi-unit defense rules, while using Tau-5 to intercept the highest threat whenever possible."

Ross also added: "Keep the communication clear. Tau-5 and the leader have priority on the channel. Don't talk nonsense. There will be plenty of time to communicate when we get to the ground."

After saying that, he glared at Jack deliberately, obviously reminding this chatterbox.

Jack rolled his eyes in response.

After Irantu briefed the survivors on the plan, they broke up their formation and began to move.

However, at this moment, Leon Lake suddenly found something wrong.

"Attention, there's something at the door!"

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and found a thick, sticky black liquid seeping out of the cracks in the wall.

More tiny creatures were wriggling in the cracks.

At first glance, it looked like oil was flowing out of the cracks in the wall!

But when they looked closely, their scalps suddenly went numb.

Because this black stuff is not oil, but a bunch of wriggling leeches!

As Leon Lake's shoulder light shone towards more places, everyone discovered that

Black liquid was flowing along various cracks on the surface of the wall, and smaller leeches were wriggling in these cracks!

The members of the Samsara Team had obviously seen this thing.

Onru explained to Leon Lake: "These things are leeches. They are distributed almost throughout the walls of the site."

Ross's scalp tingled: "F**k, Irantu, we have to turn around."

Irantu nodded and looked at his companions: "Agreed. Let's go, Munru, Nanku, blow up the gate so that we can leave more easily."

While Nanku and Munru were setting up explosives around the door frame, everyone could clearly see black leeches crawling under the door frame, deepening the cracks in the wall!
