Marvel: Xenomorphs

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: The Mouth of Faltine

When Xenomorphs, equipped with various combat methods such as physical attacks and energy assaults, unite in perfect coordination, the efficiency they display is nothing short of astonishing.

With Duncan, who can mentally link to all Xenomorphs, monitor each one's vision and status, and issue real-time commands, the Xenomorphs' combat performance is akin to a masterpiece of art.

Although weaker Xenomorphs continuously fall to the energy whips, bound and sliced into countless pieces by the power imbued within the whips.

But in their final moments, they scream desperately, tearing their bodies apart with all their might to ensure their acidic blood splatters over a wider area, corroding more energy whips.

Everywhere you look, whips are rapidly snapping, creating pockets of vacuum. Upon closer inspection, you'd be shocked to find these pockets connecting to form an irregular "pathway"!

The entire process is seamless, executed with fearlessness, silence, and sacrifice, as if rehearsed countless times—terrifyingly efficient!

"How is this possible?!"

Even Kaecilius was stunned. He wasn't afraid of the Xenomorphs' power but was shocked by their absolute obedience, cold-bloodedness, and mechanical precision despite being flesh and blood.

"Nothing is impossible. You could become part of me too!"

Duncan, with his agility, closed the distance between himself and Kaecilius.

As long as he could prevent Kaecilius from using large-scale spatial magic like the Mirror Dimension, there was a chance! With his strength, the Abomination Xenomorph, and several Deviant Xenomorphs, victory wasn't out of reach.

In fact, with the power Duncan currently wielded, he was undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with, commanding the attention of organizations and factions worldwide.

But his opponent was Kaecilius, who stood just below the Ancient One in terms of power.

"Let me show you true terror, the power I've gained from the great Dormammu."

Kaecilius felt the surging dark magic within him, a sign that Dormammu had temporarily increased his borrowing limit.

While using energy whips to buy time, Kaecilius began casting a black magic spell from Dormammu.

A magic akin to a black hole slowly took shape before him.

"Behold this spell, the Mouth of Faltine! The great Dormammu used this to devour countless pocket universes and life-bearing planets in the macrocosm!"

"You won't get the chance to use that spell!"

Duncan relentlessly broke through the energy whips, advancing rapidly with his elite Xenomorphs, aiming to kill Kaecilius before he could complete the spell.

Countless golden-red threads were born and destroyed, with many Xenomorphs falling to the whips' burns and cuts. Even Duncan himself, battered and scarred, personally severed many whips, finally reaching Kaecilius.

Just as the two were about to engage in true combat, Kaecilius sensed something, his expression changing abruptly. He retreated swiftly, opening a portal and escaping without hesitation.

Duncan's expression shifted, his lightning-fast reflexes kicking in. No matter the cost, he had to attack Kaecilius!

Roar!

The Abomination Xenomorph let out a cry, its body riddled with countless energy whips. It had been motionless, seemingly dead, but under Duncan's command, it erupted in a frenzy, its body rapidly expanding. Taking advantage of Kaecilius's momentary distraction, it slammed into Duncan from behind.

Using this force, Duncan, despite his severe injuries, charged straight at Kaecilius.

Though it was too late—Kaecilius had already stepped into the portal.

He gave a relieved smile, beginning to turn, his lips forming words—even now, he maintained his elegance, exuding the dignity of a grand mage.

Duncan knew exactly what he was about to say.

"We'll meet again."

"Meet my ass, give it here!"

Duncan's eyes gleamed with ferocity. He extended both arms in a reckless, suicidal move. He could be bisected at any moment if the portal closed, but Duncan did it anyway.

Snap!

With incredible speed and strength, Duncan thrust his arms through the barrier of magical particles, instantly losing chunks of flesh. Every moment, parts of his body turned to dust and dissipated.

Yet, Duncan showed no hesitation or retreat. With arms now reduced to bare bone, he violently grabbed Kaecilius's shoulders as the portal rapidly closed. With one hand pressing and the other pulling, he tore off Kaecilius's arm!

The scene was gruesome—blood, torn muscles, and tendons still connected—utterly brutal.

Kaecilius, no longer elegant, let out a scream!

He cherished his body, as it was his vessel for pursuing truth and paying the price to Dormammu. He always kept it meticulously maintained, even styling his hair immaculately—he had never suffered physical harm to this extent before!!

The portal closed completely, severing Duncan's arms on the other side.

"He shouldn't have used the Mouth of Faltine. The casting time was too long, and against an opponent like you, who seizes opportunities and is willing to self-mutilate, he miscalculated."

Behind Duncan, a golden portal opened, and a chubby figure rushed in. But it was too late. He witnessed the final clash between Kaecilius and Duncan, sighing helplessly.

Everything had happened too fast. From Kaecilius opening the portal, retreating, to escaping, it all took less than a second. Opening a portal, stepping through, and deciding which spell to use for intervention was simply too much to ask.

"You must be a mage from Kamar-Taj. If not for you, I doubt Kaecilius would have fled so quickly." Duncan's expression shifted from ferocious to gentle in a second, his change of demeanor astonishing.

If not for his horrifying, self-healing wounds and missing arms, Wong might have thought he was conversing with a gentleman.

Wong carefully chose his words, glancing around. The ancient building was in ruins, littered with human corpses, dust from vampires slain by Blade's silver weapons, and the shattered remains of Xenomorphs.

The sight left him inwardly shaken. Despite the brief confrontation, the battle had been devastatingly brutal.
