"Noah, are you awake?"

Around eight or nine o'clock the next morning, Fury knocked gently on Noah's door.

After his previous experience of offending four magicians at once and being turned into a bleating sheep for what felt like an eternity, Fury had learned his lesson. He knew that these magicians usually woke up around eight or nine, which led him to grumble to himself: These magicians are really lazy!

But no matter how lazy they were, Fury understood one thing—these magicians were serious about their craft!

"Get up, come in." Soon, Noah's voice came from the room. Fury let out a sigh of relief and opened the door, stepping in.

Inside, Noah was sitting on his bed, engrossed in a book titled The History and Research of Animagus.

From the title, Fury instantly recognized it as a product of the magical world, likely tied to the research Noah and his friends were undertaking. Over the past few days at the Mutant Academy, Fury had begun to understand that these magicians were real scholars. Despite their quirks and personality issues, their dedication to research was comparable to any scientist Fury had known.

"What's the matter, you need something this early?" Noah asked, noticing Fury's presence. He placed a bookmark in the book and tossed it into his mirror space.

"Did something happen last night? Did you notice anything strange?" Fury asked directly, not wasting any time. He knew Noah's straightforward nature.

"Of course I noticed it. How could I not hear it with all that noise?" Noah shrugged. Truthfully, he hadn't heard a thing. He'd been in a deep sleep, meditating in his system space, and knowing what had transpired, he wasn't particularly interested in checking it out. But the fact that Fury came to ask him this early surprised him. Aren't you curious, Fury? As the future director of SHIELD, shouldn't you be investigating this yourself?

"You didn't go to see it?" Noah touched his chin thoughtfully.

"No, I woke up and noticed none of you took any action. I didn't want to do anything rash. Please, I'm not stupid. The only reason I can stay here and peek into the mutant school's secrets is because of you," Fury replied, rolling his eyes.

"Wise choice. Curiosity kills the cat," Noah replied, adopting the role of a guiding elder.

"Can you stop acting like that? Was it dangerous last night?" Fury asked, his eyes narrowing with concern.

"It wasn't dangerous. It just sounded like it came from someone I taught a lesson to yesterday." Noah added, not elaborating further.

"Logan Howlett? Damn it, it's a good thing I didn't go over there. Who knows, that guy might seek revenge on me!" Fury grumbled.

"Seek revenge on you?" Noah thought about it but didn't explain. Instead, he found the whole matter trivial and just wanted to move on. Fury had his own way of dealing with things.

After getting the information he needed, Fury took his leave. Noah was clearly not in the mood for further conversation, and Fury noted to himself: These magicians may be a bit lazy, but when it comes to research, they're as focused as any scientist.

The day passed quietly. Evan and the others, having woken up, approached Noah with discussions on "magic creature transformation". Meanwhile, Fury observed the mutant children, evaluating which of their abilities might be useful on the battlefield. Wall penetration, invisibility, and space travel were great for intelligence work, but Fury knew it would take time, energy, and resources to train them into skilled fighters—assuming they were even willing to follow him.

That evening, after a delicious dinner, Lance encouraged Fury to share stories about his past "glorious career". Noah and the others listened with curiosity, even though they had no experience in this field. Still, they couldn't help but picture Fury as someone like Snape.

"Do you know? I was surrounded by six or seven agents once. Damn it, I thought I was going to die that time, but in the end, I still thought of a way..." Fury continued, animatedly telling his stories.

Just as he reached the climax of his tale, the sound of a motorcycle roar interrupted him, causing everyone to look toward the source.

"What's going on?" Fury asked, slightly annoyed by the interruption but still curious about the situation.

"I don't know, but I don't think it's a simple matter," Noah mused, stroking his chin. He already knew who it was.

"Shall we go check it out?" Kate asked after thinking for a while, her arms crossed over her chest.

"Let's go! We've been here long enough, it's time to move around," Lance exclaimed eagerly, clearly feeling a bit restless.

"Yeah, let's go take a look," Evan agreed, clearly on the same page as Lance.

"Okay, okay, we can go. But before we do, there's one place we need to stop," Noah said, tapping his chin thoughtfully.

"Aren't we just going to follow him?" Fury asked, his confusion evident. "Where are we going?"

"The Ministry of Magic, or more specifically, the Magical Congress of the United States of America," Noah shrugged casually. "And don't worry, I can find him easily. I put a magical mark on Logan."

Fury blinked, trying to process this. "Then what?"

"I can find him in a few seconds if I want to," Noah added with a knowing grin.

Meanwhile, Logan had stolen Cyclops' motorcycle and was speeding off in the direction Professor Charles had mentioned. He didn't fully trust Charles yet, but the mutant children had found a home, which Logan reluctantly acknowledged. As he raced down the road, Logan couldn't help but remember the strange experience he had with Noah. The thought of being thrown into a special space for half an hour still gnawed at him.

Damn it, why does that British guy have to be so annoying? Logan thought, shaking his head. But the little rascal was his priority right now.

As the motorcycle sped up, Logan's focus shifted to finding her. His enhanced sense of smell quickly led him to the train station, where he parked and easily tracked her down inside the carriage.

The little rascal looked troubled, her eyes less clear than when they'd first met. Logan slowly walked over and sat beside her.

"Hey, Little Naughty," Logan said softly, his voice tinged with guilt.

The girl looked up, surprised, and Logan continued, "I'm sorry about what happened last night."

"Me too," she replied, her voice soft and filled with unease.

"Are you going to start wandering again?" Logan asked, concern creeping into his voice.

"I heard Professor Charles is really mad at me," Little Naughty confessed, her voice heavy with worry.

"Who told you that?"

"A boy at school," she answered.

Logan thought for a moment, his mind racing. Charles mad at her? That doesn't sound right. Who's this boy she's talking about?

"Do you want to go back?" Logan asked after a long silence, watching her closely.

"It's up to you," Logan added, a hint of resignation in his voice. If the school didn't want her, maybe it was best to leave.

But something felt off to Logan. His senses were telling him there was more to this situation than met the eye.

As the train began to move, Logan gave her one last look. "What do you think? How about giving them another chance? I'll make sure you're okay."

"Do you promise?" Little Naughty asked after a few moments of hesitation.

"Yes, I promise," Logan said firmly.

Just then, the train shook violently, as if it had gotten stuck, throwing both of them off balance.
