Chapter 257: Chapter 257: Scarlet Witch? More Like Scarlet Maid!
Behind Alan stood Wanda, dressed in a maid outfit. Her fiery red hair draped over her shoulders, and her passionate gaze was locked firmly onto him. The black-and-white maid uniform added a touch of playfulness to her allure, while her long legs, encased in white thigh-high stockings, made the sight even more provocative.
Alan instinctively swallowed hard.
This is too much! Is this supposed to be a test for Emperor? No Emperor could withstand this!
"Master?" Wanda's soft, sultry voice sent shivers down his spine.
"Uh... well, something went wrong during the rescue. And why are you calling me 'Master'?" Alan quickly tried to deflect.
Wanda floated closer to him, as if still drawn to the lingering essence of the Mind Stone on him.
"Because only when I'm with the Mind Stone can I feel like my complete self."
Alan pushed her away hurriedly. He really didn't want to rely on this kind of "advantage"! Even though the Scarlet Witch was undeniably powerful in the Marvel Universe!
"Don't call me 'Master.' Use my title while we're working!" Alan said, exasperated.
Wanda waved her hand, dispelling the red energy barrier. "Understood, Emperor."
As they reappeared, the Ancient One finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, when he turned to look, he froze in surprise. Hela, seeing Wanda trailing delicately behind Alan, was furious, grinding her teeth in frustration.
What's this woman's deal?!
She stormed over, glaring. "Emperor, who is she?"
Before Alan could respond, Wanda stepped forward.
"I'm Wanda, Emperor's assistant."
"Assistant?" Hela gave Wanda a scornful look. What kind of assistant dresses like that?
Caught between their fiery stares, Alan quickly changed the subject.
"Let's head back to the Sanctum Sanctorum first. I'll explain everything there."
The Ancient One, seeing the tension, opened a portal, and everyone returned to the hall of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Alan, still in his Emperor armor, decided against revealing his identity for now.
"Well? Explain, Emperor!" Hela demanded, standing angrily beside him.
"It's related to the downfall of Hydra..." Alan began to recount the battle between the Avengers and Hydra. Since the Ancient One's disciples would eventually join the Avengers, he saw no need to hide this part. However, he deliberately omitted any mention of Wanda's connection to the Mind Stone or Red Queen's body creation plans—he couldn't let anyone know about that.
"Oh! So, you're saying Wanda is some troubled girl you rescued from a Hydra base?" Hela pressed after hearing his story.
Alan nodded. "Exactly. But definitely not a 'troubled girl'!"
After explaining to them, Alan prepared to leave the Sanctum Sanctorum, with Wanda following close behind. Seeing this, Hela wasn't having it.
As soon as Alan left, she grabbed the Ancient One and whispered something to her. The Ancient One's expression turned grim, but eventually, she nodded.
Instead of heading straight home, Alan flew toward the Hydra research base. He hadn't forgotten his primary goal for the day: vibranium.
When they arrived at the base, it was completely deserted—even Quicksilver was nowhere to be found.
"Wanda, where's your brother?" Alan asked.
Wanda closed her eyes, seeming to search for Quicksilver. After a moment, she replied, "I can't find him. He must've left with Strucker."
"Oh." Alan sighed lightly and began searching for the vibranium. Truth be told, rescuing Wanda had cost him a lot of time, and he wasn't sure if Hydra had already taken the vibranium away.
