Chapter 6: EPISODE 6 – “The Witch’s Binding”
[COLD OPEN – TSUKINO FAMILY SHRINE – FLASHBACK]
A younger Airi kneels before a torii gate, hands trembling over an ancient seal scroll. Her grandmother looms behind her, dressed in priestess robes.
GRANDMOTHER TSUKINO
"You are forbidden to unlock the Fifth Seal, Airi."
YOUNG AIRI
"But if it's part of me—"
GRANDMOTHER (sternly)
"Because part of you is dangerous."
Airi lowers her head. The scroll's edge begins to smolder with faint mirror glyphs…
[INT. SHRINE BASE – PRESENT]
The trio sits in silence. The Mirror Witch has struck again — a bookstore owner vanished. Her glass shelves melted into liquid reflection.
MEI
"We're barely keeping up. And these mirror attacks… they're evolving."
RIKA
"She's baiting us. Slowly picking us off."
Airi says nothing. Her eyes are locked on a glowing page in her grimoire.
AIRI (softly)
"She's not trying to defeat us… she's trying to complete something."
The others turn.
AIRI
"There's an old prophecy in Tokyo's mirror folklore. A being called the 'Fractured One' — born when three broken reflections are consumed in a sacred space."
[INT. SCHOOL LIBRARY – AIRI ALONE]
Disguised in uniform, Airi visits her school's secret archive beneath the library. She touches a long-forgotten tome—
A swirl of magic yanks her backward—
[INT. MIRROR REALM – FORBIDDEN LIBRARY]
Airi crashes into a nightmarish version of a library. Bookshelves made of floating glass tomes, mirrors reflecting her every childhood memory. She's alone… or so she thinks.
MORGAN LE FAY (emerging from the glass wall)
"Poor little witch. Always reading. Always hiding."
AIRI (summoning sigils)
"I'm not afraid of you."
MORGAN (circling her)
"No… You're afraid of yourself. Of what you sealed away."
[FLASHBACK REVEAL – AIRI'S TRUE NATURE]
Morgan taps a mirror. Airi sees her younger self unleashing massive binding magic—runes carving the sky, freezing a demon in place. The collateral damage: half the shrine shattered, her family weeping.
YOUNG AIRI (screaming)
"I didn't mean to—!"
MORGAN
"That's why they sealed your Fifth Glyph, didn't they? It wasn't just to protect you. It was to protect them."
Airi clutches her chest.
[BACK IN THE REAL WORLD – MEI + RIKA PANIC]
Airi vanishes from their radar. Her magic signature has been absorbed into the Mirror Domain.
MEI
"She went alone. Again."
RIKA
"She's the smart one. Why would she do something this stupid?"
Mei grabs her mic. Rika tightens her claws.
MEI
"Then we'll be stupid too. Let's go."
[INT. MIRROR LIBRARY – BATTLE BEGINS]
Mirror versions of spellbooks erupt. Sentient scrolls bind Airi's arms and legs, whispering doubts.
WHISPERS
"Always hiding… Never strong enough…"
A Mirror Airi floats down — wearing a corrupted version of her uniform fused with dark robes and cracked paper charms.
🪞 VILLAIN REVEAL: MIRROR SPELLNIGHT
Hair longer, glowing eyes, sigils carved into her skin.
A cold smile. Her scrolls float like chained ghosts.
MIRROR SPELLNIGHT
"You sealed your Fifth Glyph, but I didn't. That's why I'm perfect."
[DUEL: AIRI VS. HER MIRROR]
Mirror Airi launches Unsealed Glyphs, massive spells chained in blood ink.
Airi desperately defends, blocking with classic sigils — but she's slowly losing.
The Forbidden Glyph begins glowing in her pocket scroll.
AIRI (panting)
"I can't… If I use it again… I might destroy everything…"
[MEI & RIKA ARRIVE – TOO LATE?]
They blast through the mirror barrier, just in time to see Airi nearly crushed.
MEI
"Airi!!"
RIKA
"She's about to be overwritten—!!"
[CLIMAX – THE CHOICE]
The Mirror Airi prepares the final spell.
MIRROR SPELLNIGHT
"Let me save you from yourself. Let me cast what you never could."
Airi reaches into her sleeve—pulls out the sealed Fifth Glyph Scroll. Her fingers tremble. She looks at her friends.
AIRI (whispers)
"…I'll never be perfect. But I'll never be alone."
✨ UNLOCKED: FIFTH GLYPH – "SEAL OF THE LIVING TRUTH" ✨
Her body glows in blue-white light. The scroll unwraps like a comet, revealing a new seal—shaped like a blooming flower surrounded by moon sigils.
AIRI
"BINDING BLOOM: MIRROR'S END!"
She throws it — it wraps around her doppelgänger in radiant paper ribbons, sealing her into a crystal shard.
[AFTERMATH – BACK IN SHRINE BASE]
Airi collapses, but safely. Mei and Rika catch her.
MEI
"That's the flashiest thing I've ever seen a bookworm do."
RIKA (grinning)
"You're not allowed to be cooler than me."
AIRI (weak smile)
"I'm not. You're both loud and exhausting. But… thank you."
[POST-CREDIT SCENE – FINAL PHASE]
Morgan stands before the three crystal shards — one for each Mirror version of Trinity.
MORGAN
"And now, with all three fractured pieces…"
She places them into a glass altar. A massive rift begins forming—spanning across the Tokyo sky.
MORGAN
"Let the Fractured One awaken."
