Chapter 19: Chapter 19: John Cheats People
The blaring alarm echoed through the Time Variance Authority's (TVA) headquarters, signaling another time criminal's interference in the timeline. A special event had been triggered, requiring the intervention of the TVA's elite time guardians.
"Time portal ready," a robotic voice announced.
Hunter B-15 stepped forward, her posture exuding authority. She addressed her team, "This time criminal is a dangerous Level Four mutant. The target is on a private plane mid-flight. Our mission is to prune the timeline at its source. Understood?"
"Yes, ma'am," her team responded in unison.
"Good. Move out."
========
High above the clouds, a private jet sliced through the stratosphere. Its sleek exterior belied the chaos unfolding inside. The cabin door had been blown off, and the sound of clashing metal echoed through the plane as mutants battled fiercely.
Without warning, a golden portal materialized at the plane's rear, and B-15 emerged with her team. Their advanced equipment shielded them from the harsh winds and the cold. Magnetic boots kept them firmly anchored to the plane, while transparent masks protected their faces.
The time guardians moved swiftly, unnoticed by the fighting mutants. Within moments, they deployed the pruning device and retreated through the portal. The plane's presence in the timeline was severed without the combatants even realizing it.

Meanwhile, on the wasteland-like terrain of the void, John lounged in the back of Star-Lord's beat-up pickup truck. His sharp telepathic senses caught the disturbance in the air. A plane had appeared out of nowhere, crashing toward the ground.
"Ravion, do you sense that?" John asked.
Ravion, his ever-reliable companion, focused his mutant abilities on the incoming plane. "Yes. There are mutants aboard—three of them at Level Four. Only one, however, has fully developed their powers."
This response piqued John's curiosity. He grinned mischievously and hopped out of the truck bed.
Ravion continued, "One of them has telepathic abilities. They're aware of my presence."
"Perfect," John muttered.
======
The plane crash didn't go unnoticed by Alioth, the massive, dog-like cosmic creature that had been chasing John and company for hours. Spotting the new distraction, Alioth turned away from the fleeing truck and focused on the descending aircraft.
Relieved, Star-Lord celebrated, punching the air. "Finally, that mangy cosmic mutt found something else to chase! We're free!"
But his joy was short-lived.
"Not so fast." John, ever the opportunist, grabbed one of the rocket launchers Star-Lord had stashed.
"What the hell are you doing?" Yelena, seated beside him, shouted in alarm.
"Testing a theory," John replied with a smirk. He aimed the launcher at Alioth and fired.
The missile soared through the air and exploded against Alioth's massive form, catching its attention once again.
"You idiot!" Star-Lord yelled from the driver's seat, slamming the steering wheel in frustration.
"Relax," John said nonchalantly. "It's all part of the plan. Besides, you've got plenty of gas to keep running."
Yelena, furious, tried to grab John, but her body froze mid-motion. John's telekinesis locked her in place effortlessly.
"Don't worry, you'll survive. Superheroes always do," John quipped before releasing her.
"You're insufferable," Star-Lord muttered through gritted teeth.
John, Ravion, and Reina disappeared in a flash, leaving Star-Lord and Yelena to face Alioth alone.
-----
Back aboard the crashing plane, chaos reigned. The captain had been impaled by a shard of metal, leaving the co-pilot—who turned out to be a mutant—scrambling to regain control.
The co-pilot transformed, his features becoming feline as he activated his mutant abilities. His enhanced reflexes allowed him to dodge the falling debris, but the chaos was too much. A fiery explosion tore through the plane, ejecting him into the void.
Inside the plane's cabin, Magneto, still young and honing his abilities, hovered above the floor. Metal shards swirled around him in a deadly vortex, keeping his enemies at bay.
"Eric, if you don't stop this madness, we'll all die in the crash!" a fellow mutant shouted.
"I don't think so," Magneto replied coldly. With a flick of his wrist, the metallic remnants of the plane's interior transformed into lethal projectiles.
Sebastian Shaw, leader of the Hellfire Club, ordered his team into action. "Take him down!"
The Red Devil teleported closer to Magneto, hoping to land a surprise attack. However, Magneto's magnetic field repelled him effortlessly.
Emma Frost, the White Queen, shifted into her diamond form and stepped forward, her body impervious to Magneto's attacks. "You're outmatched, Eric. Surrender."
"I've only just begun," Magneto snarled.
A mutant with insect-like wings, known as Angel Salvadore, attempted to intervene. She spat venom at Magneto's projectiles, but there were too many. Several shards pierced her chest, and she collapsed, gravely injured.
The battle raged on, the mutants oblivious to their imminent doom as the plane plummeted toward the ground.
