Chapter 15: EPISODE 15: “Burned Shadows, Bright Tomorrows”
🕯️ The aftermath of hell… and the shadow of something worse.
🕊️ [Scene 1 – Break Academy, One Week Later]
Tokyo is slowly healing.
News stations now praise the Tokyo Avengers.
Murals go up across Shibuya.
Civilians leave letters, flowers, and charms at the base of Tokyo Tower.
Inside Break Academy:
NICK FURY:
"You did what even the real Avengers couldn't. But that means… more eyes are on you."
STARWAVE (quietly):
"Feels wrong. We lost people. We almost became them."
KURO ŌKAMI (looking out the window):
"Peace always feels fake. It's what breaks after that matters."
⚙️ [Scene 2 – Something Returns]
A blackout hits the city.
Electronic signs across Shinjuku flicker with old footage of the Tokyo Avengers… twisted.
"The heroes who burned Tokyo… are still here."
"Truth: Alterborns replaced the Avengers."
"New savior: NULL."
🕶️ [Scene 3 – The New Villain Arrives]
👤 Name: NULL
Alias: The Signal Blade
Arc Title: The Null Protocol Arc (Ep 15–19)
Power: Digital Voidcraft — They can erase anything "recorded" — data, identity, history — by slicing it out of existence.
Weapon: A cursed techno-katana called the Bytecutter — forged from surveillance servers and mystic drives.
Theme: Memory, truth control, anti-hero propaganda.
Visual: A sleek, futuristic rogue in a dark digital coat — their face always pixelated behind a triangular holographic mask. Their voice glitched.
Goal: "Cleanse the lie of heroes and return Tokyo to zero."
NULL (on every screen):
"You silenced demons. But you replaced them with yourselves.
Tokyo doesn't need heroes.
It needs a reset."
💥 [Scene 4 – First Strike: Akihabara Collapse]
The team rushes to Akihabara, where all electronics simultaneously short-circuit. Drones drop from the sky. Holograms glitch.
Then — the buildings themselves begin "erasing."
Null walks through reality like a shadow. They draw Bytecutter and slice the air — and part of the world vanishes.
A full city block disappears, along with recorded memories of its existence.
⚔️ [Scene 5 – First Battle: The Data Cut]
Kuro lunges — but his wolf form glitches for a second. Null "rewinds" his movement.
Onmyo Flare casts a fire seal — Null slices the spell mid-air, deleting it like code.
Scarlet Onna sews a threadweb trap — but Null walks through it, unreadable.
STARWAVE:
"They're not a demon. They're something worse."
NULL:
"I am the signal in silence. The space between lies."
🧠 [Scene 6 – Personal Damage]
Null activates Byte Protocol: Redact — striking Starwave and deleting her stage identity.
She stumbles.
Fans no longer recognize her.
Her music is wiped from the internet.
"Starwave" is gone.
NULL:
"You can fight. But who will remember why?"
🌌 [Scene 7 – They Retreat]
FURY (over comm):
"Pull back! They're rewriting reality through tech-magic. That blade's linked to the city's memory grid!"
The team escapes barely, wounded and shaken.
💻 [Scene 8 – Hidden Lair – NULL]
Null returns to their Data Tomb, a hidden underground server city pulsing with stolen memories. Giant screens show footage of the Avengers — corrupted and reversed.
A figure in a pod speaks to them: a child in stasis, connected to miles of data cables.
CHILD (weak):
"They're still… pretending to be heroes."
NULL (softly):
"I'll show them how easy it is… to forget."
🔥 [Scene 9 – Closing Words]
SCARLET ONNA:
"I can sew a wound… but how do you stitch a memory that doesn't exist?"
ONMYO FLARE:
"Null isn't erasing just data. They're targeting our reason to fight."
STARWAVE (glaring, trembling):
"Then we burn our names back into the sky."
🎴 [End Card – Tokyo Avengers]
EPISODE 15: "Burned Shadows, Bright Tomorrows" — END
🌀 Next Time: Episode 16 — "The Bytecutter Code"
Null targets the world's memory of SHIELD. The Tokyo Avengers must defend a collapsing memory vault while Starwave fights to reclaim her lost identity… before she forgets herself completely.
