Marvel: My Eyes Defies Fate.

Chapter 153: 153: Quake's Potential.

For someone like Sabretooth, being called a kitten was probably the most humiliating provocation possible. So, the moment Skye uttered those words, a savage fury ignited in him. He lunged at her with a roar, determined to make her regret it.

"Finally showing your claws, little kitten?" Skye taunted with a smirk. "Then let me show you what true power looks like."

As Sabretooth charged, Skye didn't flinch. Channeling the energy inside her, she clenched her fist and slammed it forward—releasing a concentrated seismic wave!

The shockwave exploded invisibly, but its effect was immediate. The force collided directly with Sabretooth's midsection, vibrating through his muscular frame and sending him flying like a ragdoll. He slammed into a thick tree with such force that it splintered in half upon impact.

That was the terror of the vibration ability—an ability Skye had honed for years under Kurogai's guidance. That one strike alone demonstrated just how much she had grown.

But raw power wasn't enough.

Kurogai, observing from the side with arms crossed, knew what he was looking for. Power was important—but control mattered more. Anyone could break something, but mastery required precision.

Sabretooth slowly stirred. He wiped a trail of blood from his lip and rose to his feet with a twisted grin. "Not bad... for a warm-up."

His healing factor was already working overtime. Although the attack had been devastating, he was built to endure—and come back swinging.

"You mutants really are hard to kill," Skye muttered.

Sabretooth cracked his neck and chuckled darkly. "When I rip you apart, you'll understand the difference between a cat and a predator."

The two clashed again.

Sabretooth relied on brute force and close-range combat, constantly trying to get in close where his claws could do real damage. But Skye, agile and strategic, kept her distance. She hammered him with short bursts of vibration and dodged his wild slashes with practiced ease.

Kurogai stood calmly nearby, watching the exchange unfold with a calculating gaze. Every movement, every decision Skye made in combat—he analyzed it all.

And he was impressed.

Her power, her control, her instincts in battle—everything exceeded his expectations. At just fifteen years old, Skye was already keeping Sabretooth on the defensive. That said enough about her potential.

But one thing caught Kurogai's attention: there were no signs of the skeletal damage that normally accompanied overuse of her powers. In the past, excessive vibration use could lead to cracks in her bones. Yet now, she was fighting freely, her body stable and strong.

Kurogai narrowed his eyes slightly in thought. "Is this... the effect of the refined Terrigen Mist?"

It was a plausible theory. The version of Terrigen Skye had been exposed to might've enhanced her physiology—strengthening her skeleton or optimizing her Inhuman gene expression. Or maybe it was the timing of her transformation—happening early enough for her body to adapt as it developed. Whatever the case, the result was undeniable: she was stronger than before, and free of the usual drawbacks.

"Alright, you damn cat... I've had enough!"

Skye's voice rang out, sharp and angry. She gathered a torrent of vibrational force in her palm. The air around her shimmered from the sheer pressure.

Sabretooth charged again.

She struck.

The shockwave erupted with a deafening crack, slamming into Sabretooth with such overwhelming power that it tore through the air and carved a canyon into the earth beneath them.

The forest shook.

Birds scattered into the sky as trees cracked and fell. The ground split open in a jagged line, and a chasm tore across the terrain. It was no longer just a fight. It was a natural disaster in motion.

When the dust cleared, Sabretooth lay in a crater—his chest bloodied, his breathing ragged, barely conscious.

Kurogai stepped forward, brushing debris off his coat. The ground still trembled faintly from residual vibrations, but he walked steadily, untouched by the chaos.

"This... this is what vibration truly is," he muttered, looking at the devastated forest.

It reminded him of legends—of beings who could end worlds with a gesture. He know a man who could reduce entire continents to rubble with the same ability Skye now wielded. If she ever reached that level...

Well, then the world would need to reckon with her.

"Alright, calm yourself," Kurogai said gently as he approached. "You need to stabilize the resonance."

Skye's chest heaved as she slowly began to breathe deeply. Her power pulled back inward. The trembling earth settled.

She turned toward him, her expression softening.

"Did I... did I pass your test?" she asked with hope in her voice.

Kurogai smiled faintly and reached out to ruffle her hair, his voice warm yet measured.

"You did well. Very well. But at the end, you lost control. That kind of power is dangerous without discipline."

Skye nodded quickly, her pride intact but her determination renewed.

"I'll keep training, I promise."

"I know you will," he replied, his hand resting briefly on her shoulder. "You've already exceeded what I expected. But let's see just how far you can go."
