Marvel Multiverse Gacha

Chapter 59: Homecoming

John's POV

"When will we leave?" Roberta asked from behind.

"Now," I answered.

After the war, we left Winterfell before the feast. Staying there didn't seem useful.

Many things are different like Jorah still being alive. I don't know what will happen next. Not that I care.

Five days have passed, which means it's time for me to leave.

( Note: Changing the limit from 6 months to 3.)

"Give me your hand," I said, and she complied without hesitation.

Holding her hand, it happened just like last time.

In an instant, I was no longer in a snowy forest. Instead, I found myself in a warm, modern world, in the same place I had left.

I waited, ready to defend if someone would show up, but nobody came.

I don't think the Ancient One in the comics has the Time Stone, and my travel shouldn't break the barrier that prevents creatures from other dimensions.

"Is this your world?" she asked.

Releasing her hand, I answered, "Yes," while removing my jacket.

I was already thinking about all the things I needed to do, but before that...

"Let's have some lunch," I said, moving toward the kitchen.

I'll rest before meeting them tonight.

Daredevil's POV

"Anything new?" Frank asked, coming from his routine check.

"No," I answered before walking toward our captive.

"Wait," I said, raising my hand to stop Frank.

He immediately pulled out his pistol. "What happened?"

"Someone's inside with Kilgrave," I said, looking at the two bodies.

One was Kilgrave, tied to a chair, the other standing in front of him.

"Let's go," I said, signaling for Frank to follow.

"Are we entering?" he asked but didn't hesitate to follow me.

"Yes, there doesn't seem to be any trap." I opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Red Hood.

He seemed different. No, he was definitely different stronger, slightly taller. The changes were subtle but noticeable. If not for his mask, I might've thought he was someone else.

"Long time no see," he said before glancing back at Kilgrave.

"We met yesterday," Punisher said, his tone dripping with irritation. "And how did you get in here when the door was locked?"

"That's a secret," Red Hood replied, brushing off the question. Then he asked, "Where is she?"

"She's..." I started but stopped as the door opened behind us. "Here."

Jessica entered, walking straight toward us.

She hadn't decided on her future path yet not that many people truly do. But she needed to choose something to help her move past her trauma.

"I've decided what I want to do," she said as soon as she approached.

Red Hood didn't respond, his gaze fixed on Kilgrave. Punisher remained silent too. I knew he sympathized with her experience, though he didn't show it outwardly.

"I've decided to become a vigilante, like all of you. I want to put my abilities to good use."

Her decision didn't surprise me. In fact, I had expected it.

"Why?" Red Hood finally asked, breaking his silence. "Why do you want to be a vigilante? Do you have a reason, or is it just to play hero?"

He fired his questions one by one.

Jessica didn't answer immediately. She took a deep breath before saying, "If you all hadn't helped me, I'd still be under his control." Her eyes flicked toward Kilgrave, disgust and determination flashing in them. "I want to do the same to save others. That's the best way to use my powers."

"And?" he pressed, his tone unwavering.

"And what?" she shot back, irritation creeping into her voice.

"What about the other side of it? Being a vigilante at night is one thing, but what's your plan during the day? Even a billionaire orphan needs to keep up appearances fancy cars, charming smile, the works. Can't have anyone suspect he's actually a combat genius who makes criminals wet themselves just by showing up."

His words drew collective eye rolls, but I couldn't sense a hint of sarcasm.

Does that mean there's really someone out there like that?

"Are you that person?" Jessica asked, voicing the question on everyone's mind.

"I suggest you go back to school," he replied, ignoring the question. "Finish your education, gain knowledge, and heal. Spend time with people that's how you get over your sadness."

He turned his gaze toward her "As for fighting crime, there's no need to rush. Train with Daredevil and Punisher first. You're strong, yes, but you're not invulnerable. Anyone with the right weapon can take you down I could take you down."

His words hit hard, but they carried a certain weight.

"Even if you want to fight against the darkness," he added, "you don't have to stop living in the light."

"He's right. We can't stop your decision, but we can train you," I said, glancing at Punisher.

He nodded but stayed silent.

"What about him?" she asked, her gaze fixed on Kilgrave.

Punisher spoke up. "We should end him. We can't monitor him around the clock."

"No," I denied. "We still need to check everything before making a move."

Red Hood shrugged. "Then use him as bait"
