Chapter 17: Destroy
Seeing that there were no threats, Jack rushed towards the transport plane. Claire also didn't stop, and the two of them boarded the plane almost at the same time. Jack threw the poor pilot out, and the two of them sat in the driver's seat.
Jack started the plane and asked, "Do you have a plan? This plane's fuel can only take us to Germany."
Claire replied, "No, we'll fly towards the Atlantic Ocean, to the Mediterranean Sea!"
Jack furrowed his brows and checked the fuel gauge. "It's full, so we should be okay. But are you sure? I'm afraid the Germans will shoot us down before we even reach the Mediterranean Sea."
Claire shrugged and smiled, said, "Then we can only pray that the Germans won't take the risk."
Jack responded skeptically, "I doubt it."
The process of destroying yellowcake was easy, and deep-sea burying was one way to dispose of it. Once the yellowcake on this plane was thrown into the Mediterranean Sea, it would be more difficult for the Germans to recover it.
The plane's speed gradually increased as it ran down the runway, the battle behind them was nearing its end, and the sound of gunfire gradually died down. It was unclear who had won.
As the speed reached its peak, Jack pulled the control stick, and the massive transport plane gradually left the ground and flew into the sky.
"Phew! Now it's all up to luck!" Jack breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the successful takeoff. But the key is whether he can reach the Mediterranean Sea or not.
We still have time." Claire controlled the plane and said, "The news of the hijacked plane will soon reach Hitler, but he doesn't have time for us now. We still have some time, maybe more than ten hours."
"How do you know?" Jack raised his eyebrows and looked at her, puzzled.
"Because the Allies launched an attack an hour ago, and both the Western and Eastern Fronts have turned into chaos. The Germans are now in a state of being attacked from both sides, and they have no time to spare for us!"
"Oh, don't tell me it's for us!" Jack was surprised that the Allies would launch such a massive attack just for some yellowcakes.
"You guessed it right, it's for us!" Claire said, and as soon as she finished speaking, Jack felt the plane tremble and heard the sound of propellers on both sides. Several German fighters flew around them, surrounding the transport plane.
These are all planes that took off from the airport a while ago. Claire's team captured the airport and took off fighter jets to escort them.
"Let's hope everything goes smoothly," said Jack, As the journey ahead was peaceful without encountering enemy planes. He guessed they all went to the front line for support. They did encounter some enemy anti-aircraft fire a few times, but they were all safe.
After more than ten hours, they finally arrived near the Mediterranean Sea, and by this time, the German planes had also caught up from the front line!
He looked towards the distant horizon, where a row of more than 20 fighter jets was flying towards them. They would arrive at the attack position in just over ten minutes, while they needed at least half an hour to fly to the deepest part of the Mediterranean.
On their side, counting the transport plane, there were only six planes, while the enemy had more than 20 planes. This outcome seemed to be bad.
"We're in trouble now!" s
Claire also noticed the enemy planes, and her face looked worried.
They were running out of time!
"Don't be so sure!" Jack clenched his teeth, released his seat belt, and stood up, walking towards the cabin door under Claire's puzzled gaze.
"You keep flying towards the destination! Leave the rest to me!"
After saying this, Jack secured himself in the cabin with a rope tied to the door handle. Before Claire could ask any questions, he pulled open the cabin door.
"Whoosh!"
A loud, cold wind rushed into the cabin, but it was bearable. Claire seemed to have guessed his plan and shouted, "You must be crazy!"
"HAHAHAHAHA" replied Jack, As he unfastened the sniper rifle he had been carrying on his back, removed the cloth strip, adjusted the scope, and loaded the bullet.
At this point, several escort planes rushed toward the incoming German aircraft at the checkpoint. Still, it was clear that they were no match and were quickly defeated in one-on-one battle.
Meanwhile, Jack finally prepared himself and raised his gun.
Looking through the scope at the approaching enemy planes, he could even vaguely see the driver's crazy smile with his own eyes.
In the next moment, Jack's adrenaline soared, his heart pumping large amounts of blood, and everything in front of him began to slow down.
The bullet time was activated, and at the same time, Jack pulled the trigger.
In that split second of him pulling the trigger, the time around him continues normally. Without even looking at the situation of the first plane, he quickly adjusted his gun and aimed at another approaching enemy plane.
The plane he had just taken care of spun out of control and crashed.
"Bang!!!"
Without paying attention to the noise, Jack aimed and fired at another enemy plane, causing it to crash.
Meanwhile, the German fighters finally reacted and turned their planes to avoid Jack's attacks while shooting back with a barrage of bullets.
Jack was panicking and saw the bullets heading towards him, he could see the bullets in bullet time, and it seemed like they could easily destroy the plane.
But suddenly, the transport plane suddenly turned to the right, causing Jackk to fall into the cabin. The sudden turn barely avoided the barrage of bullets, but the aircraft was still hit a few times, and one bullet even hit the fuel tank!
Miraculously, the tank did not explode. However, it started to leak, and their time became shorter. The plane regained its balance, and the enemy planes outside did not continue to shoot but instead turned their aircraft and prepared to return.
Jake stood up and looked out the window. They had already reached the sky above the Mediterranean Sea and were about to reach the drop zone.
"We're running out of time!" Claire's voice came through: "The plane's fuel is quickly running out!"
"Keep going!"
As the plane continued to fall, Jack knew that they were in a bad situation. He focused all his attention on trying to keep the aircraft under control, but it was clear that they were going to crash. With no other options left, he turned to Claire.
"We have to jump!"
He had initially wanted to find a parachute, but after searching around, he realized there was nothing.
Jack quickly rushed into the cockpit, and Claire had just undone her seatbelt and stood up. The plane had just used up its last drop of fuel and was now in free-flying mode.
Seeing this, Jack didn't hesitate. Before she could react, he grabbed Claire and quickly walked to the cabin door, and jumped out without hesitation.
