Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 37: Chapter 37 : Agatha is Shocked

" Agnes, why are you here?"

Hearing the voice, Wanda turned around and saw the person greeting her. To her surprise, it was Josh's aunt, Agnes. Meeting an acquaintance this far away in Northern Europe was the last thing she expected.

"Aunt Agnes, long time no see."

Finn was momentarily taken aback. Just this morning, he had been contemplating how to deal with the so-called "old witch."

And now, here she was, appearing on her own. It seemed she was truly worried that he would take Wanda away.

After all, in the eyes of dark magic practitioners, the allure of Chaos Magic was impossible to resist.

"I'm here to visit a relative," Agatha replied with a warm smile. She raised the bag in her hand and said, "I just bought some desserts. Want to try some?"

"Sorry, I'd love to, but I just had breakfast not too long ago and haven't digested it yet."

Wanda rubbed her belly, then glanced at Finn with an exasperated look. "It's Finn's fault. He ordered too much food this morning."

"I was worried you wouldn't have enough to eat," Finn replied innocently, touching Wanda's soft belly.

"I think you're trying to fatten me up and then dump me," Wanda muttered, recalling the ridiculous amount of food he had ordered earlier. The sheer volume had even drawn odd stares from the other diners.

"Who said that?" Finn leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear. "I think you look even more...voluptuous." His voice dropped lower. "I'm just preparing for the future."

"Stay away..."

Feeling the heat from his breath, Wanda's face turned crimson like a boiled lobster. She immediately buried her head against his shoulder, gritting her teeth. "Finn, we have company! Can you stop talking nonsense? Say one more thing, and I'll bite you!"

Agatha, who had been watching the exchange, was stunned. Her weathered eyes reflected a mix of confusion and shock.

"You two…?"

Finn intertwined his fingers with Wanda's and confirmed, "We're together now. Boyfriend and girlfriend."

"What?!"

Agatha exclaimed in disbelief.

"Aunt Agnes, do you really have to be that surprised?" Wanda sighed, arching an eyebrow. Josh's aunt was reacting more dramatically than when she had confessed her feelings.

"I'm just amazed at how fast young people move these days," Agatha quickly recovered, forcing a polite smile.

"It's all about fate," Finn said, smirking playfully. He could tell that the so-called "old witch" hadn't expected this development.

"Uh-huh," Agatha muttered, her gaze sharpening.

Very good. She had underestimated Finn. This guy had bypassed every obstacle and captured Wanda's heart—securing both her and the Chaos Magic in one move.

That meant he wasn't just after Wanda's power. He wanted her.

This changed everything.

If Finn and Wanda combined forces, Agatha would be in trouble. Judging by recent news reports, Finn's strength wasn't weaker than hers. If they worked together, she might not be able to handle them both.

She needed a new strategy.

"You two, I should get going. I need to drop these off first," Agatha said, raising the bag of desserts slightly. "Let's catch up another day."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and left.

Wanda watched Agatha's retreating figure, her brows furrowing slightly. "Finn, don't you think Aunt Agnes was acting a little...odd?"

Finn glanced at her, surprised. "Odd? How so?"

"I don't know, I just got a strange feeling," Wanda admitted, shaking her head. "But she seems like a good person."

Finn smirked. "You're imagining things."

He reached out and pinched her cheek lightly. "Come on, let's take some pictures over there. Then we can explore some more."

Wanda rubbed her cheek and decided not to dwell on it. Maybe she was overthinking things. Aunt Agnes had always been nice.

Back in Westview, she used to drop by for a chat every day. She had been a kind and friendly neighbor.

What was there to worry about?

"Hey, Finn! Slow down!"

Lost in thought, Wanda suddenly found herself being pulled along by Finn.

"Hurry up!" Finn grinned, dragging her along. "Before the sun gets too high."

For the rest of the morning, they explored nearly every major attraction in Berlin—from the Brandenburg Gate to the iconic bridges filled with tourists and photographers.

Their camera captured every moment.

Despite the packed schedule, neither of them felt tired or bored.

Time seemed to fly by.

It was a subtle but wonderful feeling.

By midday, with the sun now at its peak, they finally stopped at a small café for cold drinks.

Finn leaned back in his chair, taking a long sip of his Coke. The icy sensation was refreshing, making him momentarily consider pouring it over his head.

"So tired..." he groaned dramatically.

Wanda scoffed. "Oh, really? And when you were dragging me all over Berlin, you weren't tired then?"

"How could I be tired when I was with you?" Finn shot her a playful smirk. "Otherwise, I would've let go."

Wanda's cheeks warmed. She quickly lifted her cup, hiding her face behind it.

"Can you stop saying things like that..." she mumbled.

"I'm just speaking from the heart, okay?"

Finn chuckled, amused by her reaction. No matter how many times he teased her, she always reacted the same way.

"Show me your heart, then," Wanda muttered under her breath. But as soon as she said it, she regretted it.

That sounded way too cheesy.

"...Forget it," she added quickly, shaking her head.

Finn, of course, caught every word. But he let it slide with an amused smile.

"Let's head back," Wanda said, stretching her arms. Her skin was slightly flushed from the sun, and exhaustion was beginning to creep in. "I want to take a nap."

Finn's expression shifted instantly. "Oh? We're heading back to the hotel?"

Something about the way he said it made Wanda immediately suspicious.

She narrowed her eyes. "What are you planning?"

Finn flashed a sunny, almost too-innocent smile.

"Nothing," he said, his voice dripping with mischief. "Just something... fun."

Wanda shrank back slightly, watching him warily. Why did it feel like there was something evil behind that smile?

If Finn knew what she was thinking, he would have laughed.

Evil? No, this wasn't evil.

This was just a man being true to his nature.
