Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 30: Chapter 30 : Make Shadowkhan Famous

The sky stretched endlessly, a deep, unblemished blue. The vast expanse above looked freshly washed, clear and boundless.

Below, a narrow road wound through a dense forest, cutting through towering trees like a forgotten secret.

At the foot of the mountain, a modern village nestled in the valley, its European-style architecture resembling something out of a fairy tale.

"Another enjoyable trip," Finn mused, leaning against his seat by the window.

His gaze wandered over the breathtaking scenery outside as he stretched, the rhythmic hum of the bus adding to his sense of calm.

"Aren't you happy everyday?" Wanda teased, a soft smile playing on her lips as she watched him.

"Happiness has levels," Finn replied, turning his head to meet her eyes. His expression softened, his gaze filled with something more than just contentment.

Wanda noticed immediately. She knew exactly what he meant. "Is it really that good?" she asked, her voice light but curious.

"Loving and being loved—there's nothing better," Finn said simply. He reached out, brushing his fingers against hers, the warmth between them palpable.

A deliberate cough interrupted the moment.

Peter Parker, sitting just behind them, cleared his throat and glanced away, pretending to look at the passing scenery. His discomfort was evident.

Even while sitting down, he was being force-fed romance.

Sighing, Peter grabbed a pair of sleek, high-tech sunglasses and slipped them on.

Through the tinted lenses, he caught sight of his best friend, Ned, sitting a few rows away. The guy was grinning at his phone, no doubt lost in a conversation with his girlfriend.

"Cough, cough, cough…" Peter choked again, this time at the unfairness of it all.

They had all agreed on the " Bachelor Program" for this trip—just a bunch of guys, hanging out, no distractions. Yet, somehow, he was the only one left without a partner.

"Peter, are you feeling okay?" Wanda asked, her voice laced with concern.

Over the past couple of days, she had grown to like the young Spider-Man. Compared to most of the Avengers, who were often wrapped up in their own games and agendas, Peter was refreshingly genuine.

"No, I'm fine. Just a little motion sick," Peter lied quickly, waving a hand dismissively.

Wanda arched an eyebrow, unconvinced.

Finn smirked. "Wanda, he's perfectly healthy. Young guys like him don't get sick that easily."

Peter tensed at Finn's tone, sensing something unspoken in his words.

The sunglasses on his face—EDITH—weren't just for show. It was an advanced AI system linked to Stark Industries' satellites, capable of hacking into nearly any network.

The glasses had originally belonged to Tony Stark himself, a gift that came with a weighty responsibility.

Nick Fury had handed them over, but in truth, they were meant for someone greater.

And Peter knew, deep down, that he wasn't ready for that mantle yet.

Still, he couldn't ignore Fury's warning from the day before.

"Watch Finn. Pay attention to him."

Peter sneaked another glance at the man sitting across from Wanda.

He seemed relaxed, but there was something about him… something Fury clearly didn't trust.

"What am I even thinking? Wanda seems happy, and I'm not about to ruin that."

Peter shook his head, pushing away his doubts. The last thing he wanted was to be the one to destroy something good in Wanda's life.

Better to let it go.

Still, Finn had noticed.

For all of Peter's awkwardness, his emotions were all over the place—conflicted, guilty, torn between duty and friendship. Was this just how all American teenagers acted?

One second, they were brooding. The next, they were embarrassed beyond reason.

But Finn didn't care too much. If there was one person in the Avengers he trusted without hesitation, it was Wanda. And if he had to choose a second, it would be Peter.

Sure, the kid was too trusting, too naïve. But that was exactly why he had gotten played by Mysterio in the first place.

Peter was someone who still had faith in people.

He hadn't been broken by the world yet.

The rest of the ride passed without incident—except for one minor hiccup.

Peter, in his infinite wisdom, nearly caused the entire bus to crash after activating EDITH by accident.

Only Finn and Wanda knew the truth about what happened.

Wanda was furious. If the driver hadn't been skilled, the bus would have plunged off the mountainside.

Peter, meanwhile, was still pretending nothing had happened.

Prague - Arrival

By the time night fell, the bus had entered the heart of Prague. The city was alive with energy, the streets overflowing with people celebrating a local festival.

Music, laughter, and the warm glow of streetlights painted a picture of pure vibrancy.

Their bus pulled up in front of a grand hotel.

The moment the students stepped inside, they were awestruck.

Golden chandeliers bathed the lobby in warm light. Marble floors stretched endlessly beneath their feet, reflecting the sheer elegance of the place.

"Oh, Peter, this is insane!" Ned exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement. "A super-spy trip is way cooler than I expected!"

"That's not a good thing," Peter muttered, feeling a headache coming on.

This wasn't a normal school trip. Half of his plans were already in ruins. He had just wanted to enjoy a simple vacation, but now?

Now, he was tangled in Fury's business again.

He sighed, resigned to his fate, and followed the others toward the front desk.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the lobby…

Finn casually took in his surroundings, nodding in approval.

"Nick Fury does have his moments," he murmured, glancing at the lavish interior. "Even after being gone for five years, the man still manages to pull strings like nobody else."

Wanda scoffed. "I wouldn't give him too much credit. He's not that different from HYDRA—he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants."

Finn smirked. "Oh, I don't know. I think he's starting to grow on me."

Wanda frowned at his change in tone.

Then Finn showed her his phone.

The hotel's app had just sent him a notification—his single room had been upgraded.

To a double.

"Looks like Fury is in a generous mood," Finn remarked, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"…"

Wanda gave him a pointed look, shaking her head. "Sometimes, I want to crack open your head and see what's inside."

"You wouldn't want to," Finn said with a smirk. "You might not be able to resist what you find."

Wanda rolled her eyes. "Unbelievable."

Before Finn could continue teasing her, Peter appeared beside them, lowering his voice to a whisper.

"Wanda. Fury needs you for a meeting. Urgently."

Wanda's playful expression faded. Her demeanor shifted instantly, becoming sharp and serious.

"Got it," she said.

Turning back to Finn, she placed a quick kiss on his lips, her touch lingering for just a second longer than necessary.

"Go back to the room and stay there," she instructed. "No wandering around. I'll take care of everything."

Finn blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the unexpected kiss.

By the time he recovered, Wanda was already walking away.

"Come on, Wanda," he thought, watching her disappear through the lobby doors.

Left alone, he made his way upstairs.

Once inside the room, he casually tossed his luggage aside.

Then, with a wave of his hand, he crafted an illusion—an image of someone showering in the bathroom.

With that done, he turned to the mirror.

A smirk tugged at his lips.

"There's no way I'm just going to sit here and do nothing."

A flick of his wrist, and his clothes transformed into something entirely different—an outfit reminiscent of an ancient warrior, flowing and shadowy.

Then, he pulled a mask from his pocket and slipped it on.

"Mysterio let me borrow your script and make my Shadowkhan group famous all over the world"Finn Smirked

His reflection blurred.

His form faded.

And in the blink of an eye—

He was gone.
