From the rift in space, the Ancient One emerged, her calm gaze fixed on Thanos.

But in truth, she didn't look much better herself.

Most of her robes were soaked in blood, and her face had gone pale—clearly she had taken considerable damage.

Next came Odin.

He too was in rough shape.

The once-majestic blue of his battle robe was now stained red. It was obvious Odin had also taken heavy hits.

Cough cough!

Odin hacked up blood, his single eye glaring intensely at Thanos.

He had assumed that teaming up with the Ancient One would be enough to take Thanos down.

But he hadn't expected Thanos to wield three Infinity Stones with such proficiency, unleashing terrifying energy that allowed him to fight both Odin and the Ancient One to a standstill.

The Soul Stone in particular posed an unexpected threat with its soul-based attacks. More than once, Odin's very soul had nearly been ripped from his body—if not for the Ancient One reversing time with the Time Stone, who knows what would have happened?

"Milord! The Chitauri mothership has been destroyed! We need to retreat immediately!"

Ebony Maw's panicked voice rang out—he feared their own stronghold might be next.

"Retreat!"

Thanos commanded without hesitation.

Ebony Maw immediately used his telekinesis to lift Thanos and the other three generals skyward atop chunks of floating rock.

Whoooosh!!

Odin raised Gungnir, prepared to give chase.

"Let it go. If we keep pushing, none of us will walk away from this."

The Ancient One's voice was calm, but firm.

After that long and brutal battle, she knew very well—cornering Thanos with no escape might trigger catastrophic consequences.

Odin paused, then lowered his arm, understanding the wisdom in her words.

Meanwhile, Strange was watching nervously as his massive Explosion Magic continued to force the Solar Parasite back. He summoned the Apocalyptic Revelation Staff back to his hand.

Gurgle... Gurgle...

Just as the Solar Parasite was about to be pushed back into the Sun, it stopped moving.

Then something unbelievable happened—the massive Explosion Magic began to shrink!

The Solar Parasite straightened itself up again.

Looking closely… it was eating the Explosion Magic!

"What?!"

Strange was so shocked, he clutched his own hair in disbelief.

He had poured everything into that spell—100% of the Revelation Staff's energy, massive amounts of Kamar-Taj magic, even his own magical reserves.

He was sure that spell could destroy not just one Earth—but two.

And yet the Solar Parasite… devoured it.

"So this is what it means to survive inside a star burning at tens of millions of degrees…"

Strange finally grasped the true terror of this creature.

GURRRRGGHHHH!!!

After consuming the magic, the Solar Parasite burst into brilliant, searing light—so hot it actually heated the vacuum of space around it.

It turned to face Strange, opened its mouth, and began charging a beam of unimaginable energy.

"Crap! Close the portal now!!"

Strange shouted.

Wong immediately shut down the portal.

But the wormhole… was still there!

"Out of the way!"

Ebony Maw's shout rang out as Thanos unleashed the Power Stone, blasting everyone near the wormhole aside.

This also shattered the teleportation gate in front of the wormhole.

At the same time, a teleportation beam from Thanos's ship locked onto him and the Black Order, beaming them aboard.

Just as the Solar Parasite unleashed its blinding, blood-red beam through the wormhole—aimed directly at New York.

If that beam landed, it wouldn't just destroy the city—it would pierce through the Earth.

Odin's face turned grim. He was about to step in.

"Don't worry… someone's got this."

The Ancient One spoke calmly—completely unshaken.

At that moment, Tony Stark arrived at the wormhole—moving like a streak of light.

"Void Engine, calculate the shutdown algorithm for the wormhole—NOW!"

Tony commanded.

"Parsing... 10%... 50%... 100%... Shutdown algorithm generated."

With the Space Stone as its power source, the Void Engine processed the calculation instantly.

Just as the beam was about to pass through—the wormhole closed.

Out in deep space, an unlucky cluster of stars caught the beam instead—each one erupting in a massive explosion, leaving only cosmic debris in their wake.

Aboard the warship, Thanos saw the destructive power of the Solar Parasite and smirked in satisfaction.

At least that had gone well.

"My apologies, Lord Thanos… we couldn't retrieve the Infinity Stones."

Corvus Glaive knelt before Thanos in shame.

"No matter. I'll get them back eventually. Let the Earthlings hold onto them for now."

Thanos replied coldly, showing no emotion over the setback.

"Power Stone, Soul Stone, Mind Stone… they all still have more potential to unlock. Next time—I will conquer Earth and claim the Space and Time Stones as well!"

Clenching his fist, Thanos made his vow, his gaze fierce.

"What about the Solar Parasite?" Ebony Maw asked, watching the creature drift back into the Sun. "It's incredibly powerful, but it can't leave the star."

"There are plenty of suns in the universe. Losing one means nothing. The Power Stone alone can fuel it. Besides, a sun is just a type of evolved star—there are countless stars in the cosmos. With the Power Stone, I can trigger stellar evolution and create new suns. Feeding it won't be a problem."

Thanos had it all planned out. Rearing a Solar Parasite was easy, in his view.

"Ebony Maw, study its anatomy. See if we can replicate it. This will be a vital combat asset."

"Yes, my lord."

Ebony Maw accepted the near-suicidal assignment with complete devotion.

"Kamar-Taj… Asgard… Earthlings… your time will come."

Thanos stared at the place where the wormhole once was, his eyes dark and menacing.

Back on Earth, cleanup operations were underway.

The remaining Vanguard units and illusion beasts were being hunted down and exterminated.

"Hey, Sorcerer Supreme. I need a word."

Tony landed beside the Ancient One.

"My Anti-Void Engine needs a reality-altering algorithm. I'm going to need your help."

Tony stated his purpose bluntly.
