Chapter 442: Chapter 442
"Tony, are you planning to build a robot army?"
Hearing Tony Stark's words, Rhodes immediately understood what his friend was thinking. He couldn't help but feel nervous.
What Tony Stark was doing was essentially building a private army.
The military and the government already had deep misgivings about Tony Stark having the Iron Man suit, a powerful weapon in itself. Without S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mediation and Tony's immense public support, they might have already rolled out tanks to seize his technology.
If Tony Stark actually created a robot army, the military would never allow it!
"Relax. I know what you're worried about. I'm not going to do anything reckless before the time is right. I'll have a thorough plan in place."
Tony Stark understood his friend's concerns and reassured him thoughtfully.
"Besides, don't overestimate those top brass. As long as I throw them a few subpar robots as a smokescreen while hiding my real creations, they'll think I'm just working for them and have no clue about the truth."
Watching Tony Stark mock the higher-ups with such a nonchalant attitude, Rhodes couldn't help but feel helpless.
Alright, he had to admit—his friend wasn't wrong.
As long as those in power saw the situation as controllable and profitable, they'd leave Tony Stark alone.
And then, by the time they realized the truth, they'd already be dead without even knowing what hit them.
"Do what you want. Oh, by the way, I've found Hank Pym's address. Want me to go with you? I'm worried he might punch you."
Rhodes changed the subject, mentioning this matter.
Ever since Tony Stark learned about Pym Particles and Ant-Man's technology, which surpassed even his own, he'd been itching to meet Hank Pym.
"Oh, please. You think he'd dare punch me? You're welcome to come along—just watch me work my magic with words."
Tony Stark shrugged it off.
In his eyes, Hank Pym was just an old man who was a bit smarter than him—nothing to be afraid of.
Rhodes sighed and shrugged.
Then, as he was about to leave, he activated his flight system and zoomed toward the door—only to crash straight through the doorframe and the adjacent wall.
Tony Stark couldn't help but cover his face.
"Jarvis, make a note of the repair costs and send the bill to Rhodes."
"Yes, sir."
With that, Tony Stark refocused on his work.
He began drafting a detailed plan for the robot army.
But it didn't necessarily have to be robots, per se. Don't forget—the Energy Spark could directly evolve machines into robots.
So all Tony Stark needed to do was design a bunch of high-tech mechanical constructs—cars, planes, various appliances, and more.
Then, using the Energy Spark to grant them life, they'd transform into robots.
And the best part was, after becoming robots, they could be modified again to add all kinds of weapons and systems.
This approach had another advantage: the robots could be cleverly distributed around the world.
When not needed, they could stay in the form of everyday appliances or vehicles.
Perfect camouflage.
Who would believe that an ordinary car or refrigerator could turn into a robot?
"I really am a genius for coming up with such a brilliant idea."
Tony Stark couldn't help but praise himself.
"Sir, Agent Natasha Romanoff is here to see you."
Jarvis reported.
"Hmm? What's that agent doing here? Let her in."
Tony Stark was a bit puzzled and curious about Natasha's sudden visit.
Natasha, as always, looked stunning as she walked in gracefully.
If this had been the old days, Tony Stark would have definitely taken a few more glances at her.
But he was well aware that she was a predator in sheep's clothing—an agent who'd chew you up and spit out your bones. Best not to entertain any foolish thoughts.
"So, what do you want?"
Tony Stark asked, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Natasha.
"You look exhausted."
Natasha's fatigue was impossible to hide—she looked like she hadn't had a proper night's sleep in ages.
"There's been a lot going on with S.H.I.E.L.D. Ever since we captured Pierce and his Hydra associates, we thought it was over. But it turns out, I've found even more Hydra connections. Now, under Fury's orders, I'm doing everything I can to secretly track down those Hydra operatives, take care of them quietly, and lock them up in a prison that only Fury and I know about."
"You wouldn't believe the trouble I've run into. You absolutely can't imagine what S.H.I.E.L.D. will become."
Natasha's voice was filled with sorrow.
"No way... Don't tell me ninety percent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is Hydra?"
Tony Stark immediately realized the gravity of the situation.
"Not yet. But it might be close."
Natasha's reply was grim.
"Then you guys better keep an eye on Crying Wood Idol, Black Star, and Evil God Statue. If those containment objects get out, we'll be in deep trouble."
Tony Stark quickly reminded her.
If those three SCPs escaped, who knew what kind of chaos they'd unleash?
"I know. Fury's aware of that too. I've already sent the Shadow Ninjas to guard them to prevent any incidents."
As Natasha spoke, she rubbed her temples in exhaustion.
"So why are you telling me all this? I'm not interested in hunting down Hydra."
Tony Stark still didn't get why Natasha had come to him.
"You know about Vibranium, right?"
Natasha looked at Tony Stark.
"How could I not? Cap's shield has some of it. It's the strongest metal in the world—its molecular structure is completely static. It absorbs kinetic energy and rebounds it. There's no better material out there."
Tony Stark was naturally very familiar with Vibranium. His eyes lit up as he spoke.
In his opinion, Vibranium was even better than Moon Metal.
If he could get his hands on some, he could use the Void Engine to analyze its structure, replicate it with other metals, and create Vibranium-based robots.
But he thought that was impossible.
After all, Vibranium was incredibly rare—no one had seen it in decades.
"What if I told you that Wakanda, the so-called impoverished nation we've always believed in, is actually a technologically advanced superpower with mountains of Vibranium? Would you believe it?"
Natasha suddenly dropped this bombshell.
Tony Stark looked at her in shock, as if to say, Are you kidding me?
"I'm not lying."
Natasha said, placing a briefcase on the coffee table. She opened it, revealing a piece of metal inside.
Tony Stark immediately used the Void Engine to analyze it.
After a thorough scan, the result came back—it was Vibranium!
