Chapter 56. Gwen: “It’s So Big!”
"Volstagg, let's try this," Noah suddenly got excited. He hadn't yet used the two skills he'd gained from Lulu and decided to try out "Wild Growth." Raising his hand, he unleashed another purple magic projectile.
"Again?!" Volstagg panicked and tossed aside a nearby goblet. The goblet flew across the hall, directly intercepting Noah's spell.
A purple magic circle appeared around the goblet, and right before everyone's eyes, it began to grow, becoming larger than Volstagg himself and crashing heavily onto the floor with a thunderous clang.
The Asgardians quickly snapped out of their shock and jumped aside to avoid the rapidly enlarging object.
"Wow! Noah, that's amazing! Now make my scissors bigger!" Gwen was thrilled by what she'd just seen. She pulled out her scissors, now glowing with a blue light, and they began to grow, becoming as tall as she was.
Gwen held the giant scissors up in front of Noah, looking at him expectantly.
"All right," Noah said, touching the scissors. Once again, the purple magic circle appeared, prompting everyone to take another step back.
As the magic circle completed, Gwen's scissors grew even larger, expanding to a massive eighteen meters long (Gwen herself was about 1.8 meters tall).
"Wow! They're so big!" Gwen gasped in amazement, though the enormous scissors began to fall. Since Lulu's magic increased not just the size but also the mass of objects, it posed a real danger.
Before they could hit the ground, Thor moved to catch them, but the scissors halted in mid-air, held by Noah's magic.
"Heh, sorry about almost causing a mess," Gwen giggled, sticking out her tongue in a playful apology.
The scissors soon returned to their normal size, and Gwen hooked them back onto her belt.
"Noah, I didn't know you could do that," Thor remarked, visibly impressed.
The three Midgardians were equally astonished. Noah was a human; did that mean such magic truly existed on Earth?
"Now let me show you something even more interesting," Noah said, an idea forming in his mind.
Suddenly, Noah vanished, and in his place stood a man in a black suit, with slicked-back hair and a mischievous grin.
"Hello, brother," Noah, now transformed into Loki, said, facing Thor.
"I almost believed it was him, Noah. Your spell is very close to Loki's magic," Thor almost reached for his hammer before realizing it was Noah. If he hadn't recently confined Loki to the dungeons and knocked him out, he might have thought it was the real Loki.
The reason Noah could transform into Loki without obtaining his Sho'ma (soul energy) was because he used a transformation method based on imagination rather than Sho'ma. This transformation was different from ordinary shape-shifting.
Soon, he would demonstrate exactly what made it unique.
"My transformation is different from Loki's shape-shifting," Noah said, returning to his original form and extending his hand toward Thor.
A purple magic circle began to form around Thor. He glanced around, feeling no immediate effect, but Frigga, who was observing from a distance, noticed immediately.
As a witch, Frigga was sensitive to different energies. She noticed that the purple circle had extracted a tiny fragment of Thor's soul. Of course, it was so minor that even hundreds of such extractions wouldn't harm him. Otherwise, she would have already intervened.
Having acquired a bit of Thor's Sho'ma, Noah initiated another transformation. When the smoke cleared, he appeared as a tall, muscular blond man clad in the armor of the God of Thunder, albeit with a neatly cropped hairstyle.
"I am Thor, God of Thunder, for the glory of Asgard!" Noah proclaimed in a heroic pose.
"I like the phrase, but not the haircut. It's too strange," Thor commented, looking at Noah. He found it hard to imagine a situation where he'd cut his hair so short. Probably never.
"Thor, I think you look quite stylish with that haircut," Jane interjected.
"No, Jane, not this," Thor responded firmly.
At that moment, Noah's body, now in Thor's form, suddenly began to spark with blue lightning, shocking everyone around.
"What?!" Thor was stunned to see lightning dancing across Noah. He couldn't see his hammer, but the lightning was unmistakable. It was his own power! Noah could not only take on someone's appearance but also use their abilities. This was extraordinary.
"Noah, you…"
"Yes, it's your power," Noah confirmed. In the game, Neeko's ability allowed her to inherit the abilities of the person she transformed into. Now Noah could do the same using Sho'ma.
His eyes gleamed with blue lightning, and his body was enveloped in sparks. Thor felt that Noah resembled the God of Thunder more than he did. Why did he seem more skillful in wielding my power than me???
"Thor, I want to try something. Don't get mad, Mjölnir, come to me."
"What?" Thor was just about to ask a question when he heard Noah's voice, identical to his own, calling for the hammer.
"No, not that," he muttered quietly, looking at his hammer, but then his expression changed. Mjölnir began to tremble.
Before Thor's stunned eyes, the hammer broke free from his belt and flew toward Noah. Noah reached out to catch it, but Mjölnir swerved, circling around him as if examining him.
"Bzzzz~" the hammer emitted a sound, like an electrical charge, as if accusing Noah of deceit, before returning to Thor.
Thor laughed, "I knew Mjölnir wouldn't be fooled! Ha-ha!"
"Well, I just wanted to give it a try," Noah shrugged as he returned to his form. He was a bit disappointed that he couldn't lift the hammer but understood that it was only a matter of time. He knew he hadn't yet reached the necessary level of consciousness.
After Noah's impressive display, the atmosphere at the feast grew even more lively. Noah quickly picked up on the festive spirit, joining in the fun, as did Gwen, who had been the center of attention since the beginning.
"Miss Jane, would you please come with me? Queen Frigga would like to see you," a servant approached Jane and whispered softly.
"Me? Sure," Jane was a bit nervous, knowing that Frigga was Thor's mother, as he had told her. Trying to keep her nerves in check, she followed the servant to a quiet corner of the hall, where she found a woman with a noble posture and a warm smile awaiting her.
