Chapter 25: Chapter 24. Noah vs Talokan (Part 2)
Soldiers and Namor, witnessing this, ceased fighting and began resisting the powerful pull. They swam with all their might in the opposite direction, but many were already on the verge of exhaustion. The orcas, serving as transport for the Talokan soldiers, were also frightened and swam away, carrying with them the grenades attached to their bodies.
Suddenly, the pull vanished – Noah had closed his mouth. But before the Talokan forces could sigh in relief, he opened his mouth again, this time unleashing enormous torrents of water mixed with the magic of Tahm. The water began to form a massive water-being resembling Tahm Kench, a creature hundreds of meters in size.
Namor and his soldiers watched in horror as the giant Tahm, with outstretched arms and gaping maw, charged toward them. Namor tried to evade, the soldiers scattered in panic, but the giant moved quickly, like a heavy machine, sweeping everything in its path. Several hundred soldiers were knocked off their feet. Tahm swung his massive arms, easily tossing several soldiers aside. Eventually, he exploded, turning into numerous magical water orbs that scattered across the battlefield, dealing severe damage to Talokan's soldiers.
This attack heavily injured about 90% of the Talokan forces. The remaining soldiers, witnessing Noah's immense power, began retreating in panic. Namor, seeing this, felt utter despair. The opponent was far too strong.
"Well, not bad," Noah said, adjusting his mustache. He was pleased with the outcome. Possessing Tahm's powers, he experimented with new abilities. Noah knew that his strength far exceeded that of his enemies and that he could have wiped them out with a single magical attack. But he hadn't come to kill; his goal was to take what he needed.
Noah once again released a powerful stream of magical energy, and the sea around him began to churn, creating enormous waves that surged forward like a tsunami. The people of Talokan scattered in panic, while Namor helplessly lowered his arms.
"Stop! You've won! Take the vibranium, but spare the people of Talokan!" Namor's voice echoed.
Noah looked at him and saw that Namor had surrendered, realizing that further resistance was futile. For the sake of his people, he chose to stop fighting. Seeing this, Noah dispersed the magical energy, and the waves that had been about to crash onto the Talokan people began to disappear.
"Oh, you finally understand?" Noah smirked. His voice carried a light mockery, as he considered himself merciful for controlling his power in a way that only severely injured his opponents without killing them. With Talokan's regenerative abilities, they would recover soon enough.
"Hahaha, then I'll take the vibranium, and in return, I'll spare your people," Noah laughed deeply, his voice heavy. Namor, seeing that his warriors were indeed still alive, though wounded, felt a sense of relief. He headed toward the injured to begin their evacuation and treatment.
After finishing his conversation with Namor, Noah returned to the vibranium deposits. Using his magical energy, he had already assessed the scale of the deposit. All vibranium veins on Earth had formed from meteorites that fell to the planet. According to the information he had seen in his previous life on the internet, Wakanda held vast amounts of vibranium, and this deposit was comparable in volume.
He pondered how to carry all this ore. Soon, he began gathering a vast amount of magical energy, and his body started to grow. Namor, preoccupied with saving his people, suddenly noticed the two-meter giant catfish transforming into a colossal monster, hundreds of meters long. He feared Noah was about to destroy Talokan, but soon realized that wasn't the case.
Using magical energy, Noah enlarged his body. Tahm Kench, an ancient demon, had the ability to alter his form, and Noah relished the feeling of becoming a giant. Then he rose slightly upward, and his enormous body caused powerful waves that rocked everything around him.
When Noah reached the desired height, he abruptly turned and dove downward, opening his massive maw. He intended to swallow the entire vibranium deposit. The impact of his body stirred up enormous clouds of sand, obscuring everything. Noah consumed the entire area, along with the vibranium vein, and then spat out a small piece of vibranium.
"I'll leave this small part for you," Noah said. This piece of vibranium was enormous compared to a human body and weighed several hundred tons. Noah decided to leave some vibranium for Talokan, knowing they had only used a small portion of the deposit over the centuries. This gift was a display of mercy on his part.
Namor watched silently as he continued to rescue his soldiers. This battle had ended in their defeat. Tough times lay ahead for him; he needed to calm his people. He didn't have Stockholm syndrome, so he wouldn't be thanking Noah for leaving vibranium behind, as Talokan had suffered massive losses.
Noah began shrinking in size, preparing to return and complete his mission. This task had brought him tremendous profit: he had gained a large amount of vibranium and the reward for completing an A-level mission, which turned out to be incredibly lucrative.
As Noah's body reduced, Namor, realizing he was about to leave, shouted:
"Who are you?!"
Noah glanced at him, and magical energy began swirling around him. Using the voice of Tahm Kench, he replied:
"The whole world is a river, and I am its ruler. You may call me the River King."
Noah spread his arms, and everyone present heard the powerful sound of rushing water. It was astonishing, as they were at the bottom of the sea, and the river was far away. Everyone thought it must be a hallucination.
"The river will devour everything, but rejoice, for your names will not be forgotten, hahaha!"
Amid Noah's deep laughter, an illusory river appeared at the bottom of the sea, flowing from behind him. The people of Talokan backed away in panic, staring at the emerging river. Noah grabbed the long-inactive Lissandra and leaped into the river. Seeing the demon depart, the Talokan warriors breathed a sigh of relief. The illusory river slowly faded away, leaving only echoes of the thunderous water flow behind.
