Chapter 13. Ten Summons in a Row
Just like the first time, ten glowing orbs and one chest flew out from the swirling vortex. Noah immediately activated all the orbs. This time, none of the orbs entered his body, which meant he didn't receive a champion template. Slightly disappointed, he still took a look at the contents of the orbs.
[Random Skin Shard x1]
[Summoner Spell: Ghost]
[Summoner Spell: Flash]
[Long Sword]
[Caulfield's Warhammer]
[Random Champion Experience Card x1 (One Day)]
[Random Champion Shard x1]
[Health Potion]
[Summoner Spell: Teleport]
[Mana Potion]
"Random skin and champion shards, so I'll need to combine them? Three summoner spells, it seems spells can also be summoned. The champion card seems to be temporary for a day. And these two items..."
Noah was evaluating the results of the summon. This time, he received a few new types of items: summoner spells, shards, and a champion card. But when he saw two particular items, he was surprised and grabbed them immediately.
"How lucky! These two items, along with Tear of the Goddess, can be combined into Manamune."
Manamune was a legendary item in League of Legends. The formula for creating it: Long Sword + Caulfield's Warhammer + Tear of the Goddess. After combining and gathering mana from the Tear, Manamune evolves into Muramana.
Noah held both items in his hands: the Long Sword, an ordinary one with many battle scars on its blade, and the heavy Warhammer, which weighed around ten kilograms by his estimate.
As he pulled these items out, they and the Tear of the Goddess in his inventory began to glow with golden light. Noah took out the Tear, which floated between the two items, surrounded by a magical glow. He heard what sounded like a hammer striking an anvil. Soon, the light faded, and in front of him was a white longsword, shining with magical energy.
"This is Manamune? Impressive, I finally have a weapon, not just a bat."
Noah held Manamune in his hands and began examining it carefully. The weapon looked like a work of art: a white blade with gold accents, a hilt decorated with intricate patterns, and a glowing aura. He felt he now knew all the characteristics of the sword: a sharp, durable weapon that could absorb mana and convert it into powerful strikes. An empty slot on the blade was meant for the Tear of the Goddess, which would be inserted as it accumulated mana, eventually transforming into Muramana.
Noah placed Manamune into his inventory, feeling his power increase. It turned out that some items in the real world offered more than just storage effects.
Afterward, he focused on the three spells: Ghost, Flash, and Teleport. He grasped the glowing orbs containing the spells, and they immediately dissolved into his body, filling his mind with knowledge on how to use them.
"Ghost!"
At his command, his body became semi-transparent, and his hand passed right through the table. This was the ability of Ghost, allowing him to ignore physical obstacles. He then ran around the living room, noticing that his speed had doubled. After stopping, he activated Flash and instantly appeared a few meters away from his original position.
"Hah~ Ghost increases my speed and lets me phase through obstacles. It consumes energy, but thanks to the Resolve Rune, I can use it indefinitely. Flash has a cooldown of about two minutes. I'll try testing its range…"
"Shoo~"
Noah felt the cooldown for Flash had passed, and he used the spell again, this time teleporting to its maximum distance. In the blink of an eye, he was ten meters away, standing in his neighbor's backyard.
"Good thing no one's here," Noah said, glancing around. He quickly activated Ghost, ran through his neighbor's house, and returned to his own.
"So, the maximum range for Flash is around ten meters. If I try using it before the cooldown ends, it might cause serious harm to my body. However, it seems that as my strength grows, the cooldown decreases, and the range increases."
"Now for Teleport. It allows me to move to my items. Right now, I only have one Ward to teleport to. Looks like I'll need to stock up on wards."
Closing his eyes, Noah pictured the Ward in his home and activated Teleport. His body was surrounded by light, and he found himself in a strange space before the light pulled him back out, and he stood by the Ward in his house.
"Um… I'm back."
"This is Teleport? Quite a strange spell. The cooldown… acceptable, just one hour. However, I can't test its full range right now."
After finishing his skill tests, Noah turned his attention to the random shards and the champion card.
[Random Champion Shard: Using this will grant a random champion shard. Three shards can be combined to summon a random champion. Two shards can be used to convert the current shard into a full champion. One shard will grant a portion of the champion's power.]
[Random Skin Shard: Using this will grant a random skin shard. Three shards can be combined to summon a random skin. Two shards can be used to convert the current shard into a full skin.]
[Random Champion Experience Card (One Day): Using this will grant the power of a random champion for one day.]
Noah read the descriptions and used two shards. After a flash of light, he received descriptions of the shards he obtained:
[Shard: The Revered Inventor, Heimerdinger. Professor Cecil B. Heimerdinger is a brilliant and eccentric Yordle scientist. He is considered one of the most genius and respected inventors in Piltover. This shard will grant the Summoner a portion of Heimerdinger's intelligence and memories.]
[Shard: Might of Demacia, Garen. Classic Skin: 'Commando Garen.']
The Heimerdinger shard turned into light and entered Noah's mind, filling him with memories and knowledge. For a few moments, he lost his sense of orientation before regaining it.
"Damn, that feeling is still unpleasant."
He felt significantly smarter, as if a little inventor had settled in his mind. Now, he possessed Heimerdinger's knowledge and memories, including many of his inventions, which Noah could recreate under the right circumstances.
He then looked at the other shard.
"This skin for Garen… I don't remember it. Must be an old skin from the early days of the League. Probably best used for combining."
Having evaluated the items he received, Noah turned his attention to the chest.
