MARVEL I AM DRAGON GOD

Chapter 90: Chapter 90 A New Kind of Strength

The scent of sweat still lingered in the air from Pyrrha's training session.

Arthur watched her walk away, a thoughtful expression on his face.

He was glad to see her growing stronger, not just in skill but in spirit.

He knew the challenges ahead would be immense, and she, along with Jaune and the others, would need every ounce of that newfound strength.

Later that evening, in the quiet solitude of his room, Arthur rechecked a message from the Tower Dungeon.

A small, glowing window of text materialized before him.

[Mission: Prevent the fall of Beacon]

[Reward: Parameters up, True Dragon Aura.]

Arthur's eyes narrowed. "Prevent the fall of Beacon."

The words echoed in his mind. He had foreseen glimpses of a dark future for Beacon Academy, but this mission confirmed it.

This wasn't just about training students; it was about protecting everything.

A soft yawn broke the silence.

"[Oh, that's a big one, Arthur,]" a voice drifted from thin air.

Ophis, the infinite dragon, materialized beside him, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

She looked like a young girl with long, dark hair, her usual sleepy demeanor evident.

"[Preventing the fall of a... 'Beacon,' you say? Sounds like a lot of work,]" she mumbled, stretching languidly.

Suddenly, a much more energetic voice boomed.

"[Don't be such a sleepyhead, Ophis! This is exciting!]" Great Red, the dragon of dragons, appeared on his other side.

She took the form of a tall, vibrant woman with fiery red hair, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

"[A mission to protect something! That's what heroes do, Arthur!]"

Arthur chuckled softly.

"It seems so," he said, looking at the two beings who resided within him, the living embodiments of two of his most powerful Sacred Gears: the Sword of Infinity and Chaos and the Sword of Dream and Apocalypse.

"[So, what is this 'Beacon' thing, anyway?]" Great Red asked, tilting her head. "[Is it like... a really big light? Or a giant cookie?]"

"[It's an academy, Baka Red,]" Ophis explained patiently, though her eyes were still half-closed.

"[A place where people learn to fight. From what I can gather from Arthur's thoughts, it's quite important to him.]"

Arthur nodded.

"Beacon Academy is a school for Huntsmen and Huntresses. It's where students like Jaune and Pyrrha train to protect humanity."

"[Oh! So it's like a training ground for little warriors!]" Great Red clapped her hands together, a wide grin on her face. "[We'll make sure no bad guys mess with it! Right, Arts?]"

"Indeed," Arthur agreed.

He looked at the mission details again. "The reward, 'True Dragon Aura,' is it good?."

"[Ah, yes, the True Dragon Aura,]" Ophis said, her eyes opening a fraction wider.

"[It will make your soul stronger, Arthur. Much stronger. Enough to wield our power without too much strain.]"

"[Yeah! You won't get tired so easily using our cool swords!]" Great Red added, punching the air excitedly. "[You'll be super-duper strong!]"

Arthur understood the implications.

The Sword of Infinity and Chaos and the Sword of Dream and Apocalypse were immensely powerful, but their full potential came at a cost.

His own soul, though growing stronger with each battle and lesson, had limitations.

The True Dragon Aura would remove those limits, allowing him to tap into the boundless power of Ophis and Great Red without repercussions.

"[This 'fall' you mentioned, Arthur,]" Ophis continued, her tone becoming a rare shade more serious. "[It implies a destructive event. An attack, perhaps?]"

Arthur nodded grimly.

"That's what I fear. There are forces at play, dark forces, that seek to undermine peace and order."

He didn't mention Cinder Fall or Salem. They were too complex for Ophis and Great Red to fully grasp from his fragmented thoughts alone, especially since they didn't know about the world of Remnant or the intricate web of Grimm and Maidens.

"[Then we smash them!]" Great Red declared, her fists clenched. "[No one messes with our Arthur's 'Beacon'! We'll blast them all away!]"

"[Patience, Baka Red,]" Ophis advised. "[Strength is not always about brute force. It's about understanding the flow of energy, as Arthur teaches his students. About strategy and precision.]"

"[But punching things is fun!]" Great Red countered, pouting slightly.

Arthur smiled. "Both are important. This mission requires a delicate touch and immense power. I need to prepare."

"[So, what's the plan, partner?]" Great Red asked, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Arthur looked out his window, towards the distant lights of Beacon Academy.

"The plan is to continue training, to empower those around me, and to be ready for anything."

He knew he couldn't directly reveal the mission to anyone.

"I will continue to push Pyrrha and Jaune," he mused aloud. "And the others. They will need to be stronger than they ever imagined."

"[Good, good!]" Great Red cheered.

"[More training means more smashing! And we'll be right here with you, Arts! Right, Ophis?]"

"[Yes, Baka Red,]" Ophis replied, her voice barely a whisper as she began to fade, already drifting back into slumber within Arthur's soul. "[Always.]"

As Ophis disappeared, Great Red winked before vanishing as well.

"[Don't you worry, Arthur! We got this! Beacon's not falling on our watch!]"

Arthur was left alone once more.

The mission felt heavy, but also invigorating.

He had a clear purpose, a defined objective.

Preventing the fall of Beacon wouldn't be easy. It would require him to use every lesson he had learned.

But with the promise of True Dragon Aura and the support of Ophis and Great Red, he felt a quiet confidence that he could face whatever came.

The scent of pine and damp earth filled the air as Arthur and Glynda led teams RWBY and JNPR into Forever Fall.

The mission was simple: collect sap from the saplings. But for Arthur, it was another chance to gauge his students' growth, especially after their foray into True Magic.

Gone were the days of simple aura manipulation. With Arthur's guidance, they had begun to grasp the fundamental principles of True Magic, starting with the seemingly innocuous

"Wingardium Leviosa." It wasn't about waving a wand and saying a silly phrase; it was about understanding the flow of energy, the manipulation of force, and the sheer will to make an object defy gravity.

This basic lesson had unlocked something profound within them.

Pyrrha, already formidable, moved with an even greater grace, her control over her

Semblance, Polarity, amplified by her understanding of True Magic.

She could now subtly manipulate the magnetic fields around her with such precision that it almost seemed she was dancing with the very air.

Jaune, however, was the most striking transformation.

The once clumsy and insecure leader of JNPR was now a pillar of strength.

His movements were fluid, his shield and sword extensions of his will.

He no longer faltered in the face of danger; instead, his blue eyes held a newfound resolve.

He was fearless, a true warrior forged in the fires of persistent training and the dawning understanding of True Magic.

He was by no means a pushover. His aura, once weak, now pulsed with a quiet power, a testament to his dedication.

He had become a true leader, commanding respect and inspiring confidence in his team.

"Alright, everyone," Jaune called out, his voice clear and steady.

"Remember Professor Arthur's lessons. Focus your intent, feel the energy around you, and direct it. We're here to collect sap, but we're also here to refine our control."

Ruby, ever eager, bounced on the balls of her feet. "This is going to be so much faster now! No more climbing those super tall trees!"

Weiss, while still preferring a more scientific approach, had to admit the practicality of True Magic.

"Indeed. The efficiency it provides is undeniable."

Blake and Yang, too, showed signs of their newfound power.

Blake's shadow clones moved with an almost independent will, while Yang's punches seemed to carry an even greater concussive force, as if she could subtly enhance the impact with a burst of directed energy.

Arthur watched them with a knowing smile.

This was what he had been working for.

They were growing stronger, not just physically, but spiritually.

The challenges ahead would indeed be immense, but now, they had a fighting chance.

As they delved deeper into the forest, the familiar sounds of Grimm began to permeate the peaceful atmosphere.

A snarl here, a growl there. But unlike before, there was no panic, no hesitation.

This time, the students faced the threats with a quiet confidence that spoke volumes of their progress.
