Marvel DxD: The New Sorcerer Supreme

Chapter 66: Ch. 65 - The Great War! [2]

Hearing God's narration made me freeze up. For some reason, even though God hasn't directly told me yet that the Raviel in the story is the one I saw and absorbed when I was dying, I already knew that it was me.

"Fuck." I couldn't help but gasp.

"Language!" Michael frowned and scolded me.

"I can't help it! And how did you even know the meaning of that word!" I accused while pointing my finger at the Seraphim.

"I don't. But my instincts tells me that you said something vulgar." Michael explained.

"Well, that's bullshit." I continued, thankfully this time, he just sighed and didn't bother anymore.

"Father. Why only say this now?" Michael looked up to his creator and asked in confusion.

"It's a very long story. But I just want to tell you that our Universe isn't alone. We are not alone." God explained in response, emphasizing the word 'We'.

"So what now? Don't tell me you're gonna throw me in the Underworld just to fulfill your promise with Lilith?" I asked in which God shook his head in denial.

"No, my grandchild. When I placed Raviel's soul on you, I have committed a great sin of robbing you of your freedom." He looked down on the ground and said, expressing great apology towards me.

Can you believe it?

God is apologizing to me.

"But not any more. The reason why I pampered you until now wasn't to make up with my regrets. But to ensure that you'll be ready, ready for the future. This universe's future."

"Okay, hold on. Are you telling me that you're handing me such a huge responsibility? And what about you? You're just going to die and escape all your responsibilities?" I smashed my hand on the table, causing the tea pots and cups to fly in the air.

Although God didn't say it outright, I can already tell from his choice of words.

Michael also stared at God, awaiting for his answer.

"Hah~ It's a bit difficult to explain right now and you both won't understand." Instead of answering my question, God simply gave a vague one and ended it with that.

This old man!

"Just, promise me that you both will help each other as you both can. Your goals are aligned, which is to protect the Earth, our home."

God then stood and stretched his limbs out, before gesturing to Michael who I've been competing with in a state contest.

"It's time to go back, son. War is coming." Before Michael could react, God patted his shoulder and they both disappeared in a flash of light, leaving me alone in the living room.

'Fuck.' Was the only thing I could mutter to myself after registering the current situation I just found myself in.

All thanks to a dear student of his for opening a goddamn portal to Heaven out of all places in this universe.

What a headache.

***

Going outside for a clean air was immediately met with annoyance after seeing how Johann was once again causing sparks in the front porch while trying to conjure a portal, probably somewhere in Heaven again.

Or worse, another Pantheon's home.

"Johann. I want to have a word with you." I gestured for him to come closer.

Johann looked reluctant, as if he already knows what I'm going to tell him.

Johann kept his head down on the ground while slowly approaching me.

However, instead of scolding him, I simpler ruffled his hair, much to his surprise.

"You know when I first learned how to conjure portals. My intrusive thoughts went over me and I accidentally conjured a portal to the sun, which almost cost me my life and my fellow sorcerers." While I was explaining, the others coincidentally sneaked upon and started to listen to my story.

Feeling a bubble of happiness blooming inside me, I grabbed a nearby chair and started retelling my sorcerer life experiences.

"You know what punishment my master gave me? He confiscated my Sling Ring, conjured a portal and kicked me inside. Guess where he brought me." Anticipation was built up when I stopped at the climax of the story.

"Have you ever heard of volcanoes?" I asked first before continuing with the story after receiving nods from Johann and Belle.

"That's where I found myself in. Near the mouth of an active volcano. Just by standing near it caused my eyebrows to lit and burn itself." I said while using illusion to cause my eyebrows to spark and catch in fiery flames.

When it settled down, my face is now bald, devoid of any facial hairs.

"Hahaha!" Thanks to such demonstration, my students starts to laugh, comfortable enough to laugh at their own master.

But I don't mind. This is my intention. These kids are a bunch of bundle of joy. Snatching such a thing would be the greatest sin I would have committed.

Done with my portal story, I went on to retell my other life experiences such as how I forgot to return a book for almost a month, causing the Librarian to hunt my ass across Kamar Taj.

Then there's also the memory of me sparring with Wong, who wasn't a Sorcerer Master yet, simply a normal sorcerer.

I continued the tell them my story, most are funny and adventurous while some are dangerous and harmed not only myself but also my sorcerer mates.

Before I knew it, the sun has gone down and the moon light is shining down on us.

Once I was done with the story of how I tried to pat the Ancient One's head several times but all failed, I finally noticed that the children are already fast asleep, laying down on the grass while still facing me.

I chuckled to myself before sighing.

I raised my head up and stared at the night sky, recalling the events that happened earlier.

It all happened too fast, Johann accidentally opening a portal to Heaven, meeting the famous Michael, God accepting the fact that he's going to die and then finally, giving him the responsibility of the entire human race and the universe.

Sure, he has Michael to help him, someone he barely knows and just met a few hours ago.

Way to go, Omniscient, Omnipotent, and all-powerful God.

Sighing to myself, I gave the moon light one more look as if it would be my last time before using Air Manipulation to lift the children from the grass and started walking back home.

After scooping them all up in one room, I thought to myself.

I should hasten up the building of my first Sanctum. The farm house might be able to hold my four students but I know that in the future, Mystic Society would hold over a thousands sorcerers and I need a dedicated homes for them.

What else is the best but the Sanctun Sanctorums and my own Kamar-Taj?

However last time I checked, the village chief's trusted builders were having hard time meeting my needs so it's not even halfway done yet.

'I should probably hire someone from the Underworld, maybe Serafall knows some devil construction workers, after all, their mansion is way ahead and on their own league.

Since it was night time and as a High-class devil, I barely need sleep, I decided to call up Serafall right now.

Now this feels like one of those high-school moments where you stay up all night talking to either your friends or girlfriend on the telephone.

Hah~ I kinda miss that kind of life.

Establishing the Audio-Visual Communication spell, I waited for a few moments before a hologram appeared in front of my face.

A slightly angry yet exhausted voice yelled from the other side, almost causing me to search the lower volume button on the hologram.

["ChamCham! Why did you only call me now! Do you know how many times I stayed up late just to wait for you! You disrupted my countless nights of what should've been my beauty sleep! I hate you, ChamCham! I hate you!]

"….I miss you?" For some reason, this is the only thing I can say despite all of those ramblings that Serafall dropped on me.

On the hologram screen, her reaction were behind my expectations as her angry face was immediately replaced by a blushing one and she started stuttering.

"Y-Y-You're not supposed to s-say that." Weird, is that steam coming out of her head that I'm seeing or it's just me?

"Huh?"

Suddenly, the hologram disappeared along with our connection.

Did she just…hanged up on me?

Was she even allowed to do that?

I tried to call for her again but to no avail, she kept declining my permission to establish connection with her.

Okay, so I'm the first being in history to be ghosted. Great.

Sighing, I shook my head and decided to visit her myself instead of calling her.

With a wave of my hand, a portal was conjured and I jumped in.

***

"W-What am I supposed to say? H-He said he missed me!" Laying on the bed, Serafall kicked her feet on the mattress a few times as she covers her head with her pillow.

She acts as if she's having her first high-school love.

"S-Should I call him back?" Breathing heavily, Serafall stared at the ceiling, having a dilemma inside her about whether she would call back or not.

She's been refusing his calls after all.

However due to her distracted state of experiencing love for the first time, she failed to notice the orange portal inside her room.

"Maybe I should respond to him that I miss him too? Hehe~ and then I would watch as he blushes and stutters like I did!" Having a good plan in mind to get back on Chamber and take her revenge, she was about to call him when suddenly, a voice interrupted her.

"What are you doing and what do you mean by that?"

Serafall froze, her neck slowly cropping up to her side, where the source of her embarrassment, was standing there in front of her, looking at her with an amused smile on his face.

"G-Get out of my room, ChamCham!" With her entire strength as an Ultimate-class devil, she tightened her grip on her pillow before throwing it towards Chamber's smiling face with full force.

BOOOOM!
