The preliminary plan was established, but Jeff still had some doubts.

Regarding Arthur and the others, he wasn't sure if he should trust them.

However, during his time in the Asgard realm, he had developed a considerable trust in Thor.

Finally, under Arthur's urging, he began to contact Xandar, albeit with some skepticism.

If Star-Lord were to make this call, he would at most reach a Captain level. Although Jeff seemed somewhat useless, he had once held a significant position and knew some of the higher-ups on Xandar.

Not to say he knew them all, but at least he could recognize some.

After explaining the situation, it immediately drew attention from the other side.

Ultimately, the message was reported up the chain and reached the highest commander of the Nova Corps.

Soon, Arthur began a face-to-face communication with this commander through the communicator.

From her appearance, the commander was an older woman, and she looked almost indistinguishable from a human.

However, her gaze towards Arthur was not calm. After pondering for a moment, she said, "I remember you. The enforcement network once accused you of illegally infiltrating the high-security prison on Xandar and attempting to rescue prisoners. After that, you violently escaped from prison and even kidnapped the former warden of the high-security prison... Considering that the person contacting us this time is that former warden, I believe that no matter what you say, I will not trust you one hundred percent."

Arthur smiled and rubbed his nose: "Such a straightforward approach is indeed quite awkward. But if you don't trust me, can you trust this person...?"

He took out the mask he had used before and held it up to his face, then said, "You know me, but do you know him?"

"Instructor?"

The woman was taken aback: "Could it be that you are...?"

"Correct!"

Arthur said, "Some things, if not explained, will likely remain misunderstandings. The reason I appeared at the high-security prison on Xandar was due to some irresistible circumstances that I cannot disclose to you. However, at that time, no one gave me the opportunity to explain, and Jeff, the former warden, told me that the only way to leave was to hire a lawyer... Sorry, I had no money."

"…"

The woman glanced at Jeff behind Arthur, who quickly covered his face and turned his head away.

"So, everything was a misunderstanding?"

The woman frowned and said, "But what happened afterward? One of our major trade planets was attacked by the Kree. According to the surface monitoring at the time, you were helping to intercept the Kree. Even in the end, the Kree commander was killed by you. Why didn't you contact us and explain these matters?"

"Well, because I was in a hurry to get home."

Arthur shrugged: "Alright, we can skip those details; they are all long past. Let's talk about the present... Ronan has gone mad; he is going all in. Not only is he fixated on my friends, even contacting me to come and save him, but he is also trying to go directly to Xandar to completely destroy your civilization! Is this something I am exaggerating? You will likely see it with your own eyes soon."

"What is your purpose?"

"To gather all available forces and ensure he has no way back."

Arthur said, "As far as I know, Xandar has signed a peace treaty with the Kree Empire. In this situation, Ronan disregards the bigger picture and insists on going to Xandar to confront you. Even if he dies on Xandar, it would be well-deserved."

The woman shook her head: "No, it has nothing to do with Ronan. I just want to know your purpose."

"Me?"

Arthur thought for a moment and suddenly laughed: "I want to form an alliance with you. If you are willing, perhaps we can set up a... warning network across the universe!"

...

...

The spaceship was traveling at full speed towards Xandar.

However, the journey was long, and it would take at least another day or two to arrive.

After ending the communication with the woman, the others dispersed. Arthur went to the table to pour himself a drink and saw Gamora suddenly return, sitting on a nearby step and looking at him.

"If you keep looking at me like that, if Star-Lord sees it, he will definitely be very sad."

Arthur raised his glass to Gamora and took a sip.

"What are your intentions?" Gamora asked. "Why do I feel like you seem to know a lot of things? And... are taking precautions because of it?"

Arthur paused for a moment and then shrugged: "You are Thanos's daughter, yet you are helping Ronan. If there is no connection between Ronan and Thanos, that would be a bit ridiculous. So let me ask you, why would Thanos help Ronan?"

"For the Power Stone," Gamora replied.

Arthur continued, "Why does Thanos want to collect these Infinity Gems?"

Gamora's expression changed immediately: "You really know!"

Arthur made a 'shh' gesture and shook his head: "There are no secrets in this world that can be kept one hundred percent secure; no matter how hidden, they will eventually be discovered. And I happen to know."

Gamora looked at Arthur deeply, then turned and walked away.

Arthur took a sip of his drink and smirked: "Star-Lord's taste in fine wine has certainly improved."

"What about his taste in women?" Natasha's voice suddenly came from behind.

Arthur looked at her helplessly: "Why are you asking such questions?"

"You aren't thinking of trying something strange, are you?"

Natasha, dressed in a tight black outfit that accentuated her figure, could easily catch any man's eye.

She approached with a teasing look in her eyes: "I think I should keep an eye on you for your girlfriend."

"…I feel like you're always scheming to steal from yourself."

Arthur poured her a drink: "Let's talk about something serious."

"Like what?"

"If SHIELD stabilizes, perhaps you should step back," Arthur suggested. "We should establish a central department to serve as a communication link in the universe. This department must be highly confidential..."

"So, SHIELD can't know?"

Natasha nodded, then smiled: "Do you really think Xandar will agree to this? And to establish this department just for Xandar?"

"Xandar... may just be the beginning."

Arthur rubbed his temples: "But it is indeed a good springboard... Now that the rear is stable, we might use this springboard, along with Star-Lord's team, to set our sights on the universe."
