Chapter 263: MD-Chapter 262 A Deal?
There are so many things to take care of, but they all have to be done one at a time.
Natasha would probably need some time to gather information about Alexander, so in the meantime Arthur decided to deal with Harry's problem first.
Although Arthur still wasn't sure exactly how to handle it.
After thinking about it for two days at home, Arthur finally realized that he couldn't put it off any longer when he saw a news report on New York One about a person who could generate electricity.
...
It was 10:30 p.m.
On the roof of the OsCorp Industry building, Arthur tucked his Raven Wings and landed.
"The last time I came here, Loki had tricked me..."
He looked around. The damage from the Battle of New York had long since been repaired.
The relevant individuals and departments had done a lot of work after the event, and more importantly, they had categorized and researched their findings, making themselves even stronger in the process.
At that moment, Arthur remembered a saying: "If you fall behind, you'll get beaten."
In a flash, Arthur disappeared and reappeared inside the OsCorp Industry building.
The main reason he came was to see if there were any clues about the genetic disease in the Osborn family.
To find the cause and treat it accordingly.
What Arthur didn't expect was that the CEO's office was not empty.
The young man was sitting behind the desk, with an interesting device placed on it. The device projected a screen onto the table, and he was carefully reviewing the information.
When Arthur entered the office and stood behind him, the young man was watching a video.
In the video, two middle-aged men were discussing a series of theories and speculations about the spider gene. They were extremely confident and excited about the future.
"I see..."
The young man muttered after finishing the video.
Arthur was curious. "See what?"
The young man suddenly turned around and was shocked to see someone dressed in black and wearing a black mask standing right behind him.
This startled him so much that he panicked. He tried to get up and run, but his legs gave out and he lost his balance, falling to the ground with a loud "plop".
Arthur blinked. "Am I really that scary?"
He reached out to help him up, glanced at Harry lying on the ground, and thought for a moment before asking, "Do you need my help?"
Harry stared at Arthur for a long moment before shaking his head. He got up from the floor and grabbed the chair, but didn't sit down. Instead, he moved behind the chair, eyeing Arthur warily. "Who are you?"
"I am just a kind-hearted passerby with some spare time."
Arthur shrugged. "You really don't need to be so cautious. If I wanted to hurt you, you'd be dead by now. Look..."
With a thought, a gun appeared in his hand. "Even though this isn't a lethal threat to many of my opponents these days, it would probably only take one shot to kill you."
Harry swallowed nervously and suddenly remembered something. "Instructor?"
"Hmm..."
Arthur paused and then asked, "Do you want an autograph?"
"...No, thank you!" Harry was stunned. "What the hell is going on?"
He quickly added, "So you're real? The news said it was just an entertainment program... a big reality show..."
"Are you not even of age yet?" Arthur asked.
"Of course not."
"Then why would you believe anything on the news? How naive."
Arthur walked around to the back of the desk, pulled out a chair, and sat down. "I don't care how well you understand me, but since you do, you should know that I'm not someone the police can deal with."
"Of course, you possess indescribable power!"
Harry's eyes blazed with fire. He quickly composed himself, no longer panicking, and stared intently at Arthur. "So why are you here?"
"For you."
Arthur glanced at the small device on the desk and the page that had popped up beside it, then gave a slight smile. "And for this."
"That should have nothing to do with you."
"But it has everything to do with you and me," Arthur replied. "I can't tell you the exact reasons because I don't want to tell you. But I'm here to help you, that's for sure."
"Can you help me get Spiderman's blood?"
"Have you come to that conclusion already?" Arthur tugged at the corner of his mouth, then realized Harry couldn't see it, so he said, "Simply put, if you really want to die sooner, Spiderman's blood would be very important to you."
"What do you mean?"
Harry's expression immediately froze and he shook his head. "No, that is impossible! Why would you draw such a conclusion? My father... he spent fourteen years researching that conclusion. How could you dismiss it with a single sentence?"
He pointed to the video that had restarted and said, "Look, they're saying it!"
"It's not as simple as you think."
Arthur casually shifted his body and said, "What is involved here is something beyond your current understanding. I don't want to explain too much. I'm here to save you."
"So you are a good guy?"
Harry sneered. "Just tell me your true motive. There's no one in this world who would help others without reservation."
"You want to make a deal with me?"
Arthur thought for a moment, then smiled and nodded. "Not bad. If that's your nature, I can accept this method of a deal because it will make it easier for you to trust me. The more I take from you, the more you will believe that I will save your life!"
Harry's gaze remained sharp, unaffected by Arthur's words. "But before that, I need to know, why should I believe you'll save me?"
"Not bad, not bad."
Arthur clapped lightly in appreciation, pleased with Harry's focus on the outcome rather than the process. "Some time ago, there was a medicine that was the best at promoting healing, but it didn't come from the OsCorp Industry. I wonder if you've ever heard of it?"
"WHAT!?"
Harry looked at Arthur. "Are you saying... it's related to you?"
"It's just a by-product of one of my experiments..."
Arthur shrugged. "But even so, given its structure, I bet that no matter how many years the OsCorp Industry spends researching it, they still won't be able to crack it."
"Prove it."
Harry ignored Arthur's sarcasm.
Arthur smiled faintly. "There is no need for me to prove anything. It all depends on whether you... want to live or die."
