Marvel Cybernetic Girl

Chapter 358: 358 A Battle Without Suspense

"Surrender, humans!" Kaecilius hovered in the pitch-black sky, like a demon lord descending upon the world.

Compared to his last assault on Kamar-Taj, his aura had grown significantly more powerful.

It was clear that Dormammu, in resurrecting Kaecilius, had also granted him far greater strength drawn from the Dark Dimension.

"Those who surrender will be granted a peaceful death. Otherwise…"

Kaecilius looked down coldly at the people of Kamar-Taj. "I'll make sure you suffer a fate worse than death!"

"Kaecilius!" Stepping forward, Master Mordo took the lead, fully embracing his identity as Kamar-Taj's senior disciple among the masters of the mystic arts.

Gripping the Staff of the Living Tribunal, he stood tall before Kaecilius. "You've attacked the place that once saved you, again and again."

"You dare try to destroy Kamar-Taj and the mystical shield that protects Earth!"

"Hmph. How laughable." Kaecilius sneered. "This isn't destruction. It's not even an invasion. Lord Dormammu is offering us eternal life!"

"Time will cease to flow. Everything will remain exactly as it is—forever."

As he spoke, Kaecilius glanced meaningfully at Mordo and gave a faint, mocking smile. "Just like your beloved Ancient One."

"Nonsense!" Mordo snapped. "The Ancient One gave everything to protect our reality. You have no right to slander her!"

He stepped forward, eyes blazing. "You betrayed your teacher, and now you smear her name? Enough! I'll kill you here and now!"

"Haha! Bold words. But can you back them up?"

Kaecilius looked at Mordo with contempt. "You have no idea how powerful I've become. Thanks to Lord Dormammu's gift, you're nothing but insects to me!"

"Ugh… this guy's completely full of himself now," Kagura muttered under her breath. "Hey, you blowfish—no, wait, Kaecilius—how do you want to die this time?"

"Hmph. Woman! Last time was a fluke!"

Seeing Kagura stirred some unpleasant memories in Kaecilius. "This time, I'll put a hole in you! I'll make you feel agony that tears your soul apart!"

As he spoke, Kaecilius raised his hand.

From the surrounding void of the Dark Dimension, he summoned a horde of demonic hounds formed from mystic energy.

They were otherworldly beasts—ferocious and savage, like a pack of wolves capable of shredding anything in their path.

In an instant, the beasts surged out of the void like demons unleashed, howling and snapping as they charged at the defenders of Kamar-Taj.

A brutal battle had begun.

These monstrous hounds resembled Thanos' alien war dogs—the Outriders.

But they were something worse: corrupted puppets controlled by Dormammu himself.

Born from the darkest depths of the Dark Dimension, they were twisted manifestations of the countless souls Dormammu had absorbed over eons.

They had no thoughts, no minds, no sense of self.

In the Dark Dimension, there was only one will: Dormammu's.

All other lives ended the same way—transformed into meaningless monsters and puppets, forever bound to his will and used as weapons of destruction.

Kaecilius didn't realize it yet, but the hounds he commanded now represented the fate of all who fell into the Dark Dimension.

He and his followers were no exception.

Dormammu wasn't a wise ruler—he was a merciless devourer.

He would never tolerate another autonomous consciousness within his eternal realm.

After all, any free might rise to challenge his rule.

Kaecilius was just a pawn.

Once Dormammu fully consumed Earth using Kaecilius, the foolish, pitiful zealot would be discarded—twisted into yet another beast.

Doomed to charge blindly into battle for Dormammu… until he finally vanished into some forgotten corner of existence.

How tragic.

Kagura gazed at the man who had inflated with delusions of grandeur.

He believed he had obtained "eternal" power, transcending time itself.

But in truth, he was nothing more than a puppet—just a speck of dust drifting in Dormammu's realm, a husk without purpose, a discarded remnant of what once was.

Then again…

Perhaps such a pathetic end was only fitting for someone like Kaecilius—arrogant, blind, and utterly full of himself.

No more words were needed.

Let the battle begin.

As the tide of dark-dimension hounds crashed forward like waves, the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj raised their glowing orange mystic shields, prepared to defend their home.

They were the protectors of Earth—and they would fight back.

Mordo, Wong, and the two newly arrived sorcerers took their positions.

Kaecilius, gazing down at the battlefield that Kamar-Taj had become, silently counted the few individuals who might pose a threat to him.

"Hmph. Even if the four of you come at me together, you're still no match for me."

To him, this was a fight with no suspense.

Even if the Ancient One herself had returned, she might not be able to stand against him—let alone her apprentices or the novice sorcerers scattered across the battlefield.

"Pathetic." Kaecilius laughed to himself.

"You're struggling just to hold off my hounds. Do you really think you can stop Lord Dormammu's power? What a foolish dream!"

However, things were playing out quite differently from what Kaecilius imagined.

From the perspective of Kagura and Stephen Strange, this battle was just as one-sided—

But the one destined to lose without suspense… was Kaecilius himself!

"Doctor Strange," Kagura said with a meaningful glint in her eye, even as the battle raged around them, "Ready to end this guy for good, just like we planned?"

"I'm ready!" Stephen nodded. "Wong! Mordo! Hold him off for a bit. Kagura and I are going after Kaecilius directly!"

"What? Just the two of you?" Mordo clearly didn't buy it. "Are you serious? You two against Kaecilius? That's suicide. We should stick together and fight as one!"

"Divide and conquer is a form of teamwork, Master Mordo," Kagura replied with a teasing smile.

"You really need to loosen up a little. People as rigid as you wouldn't survive three episodes in a modern drama."

"Let's go, Kagura!" Stephen called out as he reached for the golden relic hanging from his chest.

"The Eye of Agamotto?!" Mordo gasped. "That's a priceless artifact—you can't just use it recklessly! You could destabilize the flow of time!"

"And that," Kagura said, clapping a hand on Mordo's shoulder, "Is exactly why I keep telling you—you need to learn to adapt."

"Rules were created by people. And rules exist for many different reasons.

Instead of clinging to the rules themselves, try understanding why they were made."

"That's the only way to truly use them… and in the right moment—break them."

This time, we're going to break the rules of time— And use time itself as a weapon!

Last night, Kagura and Stephen had spent over a year—within the Mirror Dimension—training relentlessly using the Time Stone.

They didn't just sharpen their skills; they also devised a precise strategy to counter Kaecilius.

Kaecilius wasn't Dormammu.

He didn't possess the ability to ignore or transcend time. He was still bound by its flow.

Which made him vulnerable to their first phase of the operation—

Operation: ZAA WARUDO!!
