Marvel Brodcast : Spoiling Spider-man

Chapter 476: Conversation in the Tavern

"Wow! Quentin Beck is genuinely amazing. He managed to completely destroy that massive creature by risking everything and putting his own life on the line!"

Captain America praised Beck's selfless bravery with deep respect. In his military mind, Quentin Beck must have gone into that final attack fully prepared to die alongside the Elemental creature to save innocent lives.

Rhodes frowned thoughtfully as he considered the implications. "But if Beck can successfully sacrifice himself to destroy this Fire Elemental, then why would the Earth in their universe have been completely destroyed by these creatures?"

Tony responded with analytical calm, "It's quite simple, actually! The Fire Elemental in their original universe must have absorbed far too much metal infrastructure and grown to an absolutely massive scale. Naturally, even Beck's sacrifice wouldn't have been enough to stop something that enormous!"

Banner nodded in agreement with the scientific assessment: "Exactly! This lava giant had only absorbed some metal debris from a carousel and a few festival structures, but it had already grown taller than the surrounding buildings! If one of these creatures continued to grow indefinitely by consuming entire cities' worth of metal, it's completely logical that it could destroy the entire planet!"

Ignoring this sobering topic for the moment, Tony shifted his attention to the mysterious object that Spider-Man's webbing had accidentally caught earlier.

"By the way, did anyone else notice that strange thing floating in the sky that Peter's web stuck to? What do you think that was?"

He instructed his AI to jump back to the previous scene that Jarvis had recorded. Unfortunately, because the image quality was quite blurry and the object had moved quickly, even when everyone concentrated intently, they couldn't clearly identify what it might have been.

"Jarvis, run a detailed analysis on that object!"

"Certainly, sir! Based on its approximate size and its apparent stealth flight capabilities, I believe this was most likely some type of reconnaissance drone, which could have been deployed to record this entire battle! It's possible that Director Nick Fury authorized its deployment!"

"Hmm..." Tony stroked his chin thoughtfully and concluded that Jarvis' analysis seemed quite reasonable. After all, these Elemental creatures had never existed on Earth before. He had no doubt that Nick Fury would want comprehensive battle footage for analysis.

Maybe Fury even wanted to use the recorded data to study and understand Mysterio's unique abilities and fighting techniques!

The veteran spy director was definitely capable of that kind of forward thinking.

Tony even suspected that the surveillance drone technology might have been developed by his own future self and then utilized by Nick Fury's organization.

"Whatever that object's purpose, we'll probably find out more as we keep watching! Now that all four Elementals have been destroyed, there shouldn't be any more major problems, right?"

"Maybe! But doesn't this all seem a bit too straightforward?" Rhodes just hoped his instincts were wrong, because the resolution really did feel surprisingly easy compared to the scale of the threat.

[Seeing that the immediate crisis had been resolved, Agent Hill approached and asked for confirmation, "Is everything completely resolved now?"]

[Quentin Beck, still sitting on the ground and recovering from his exertion, replied with certainty, "That was definitely the last Elemental!"]

[Nick Fury walked over to where Beck was resting.]

["But it certainly won't be the last major threat we'll face in this world! We must always remain vigilant and prepared! Our planet desperately needs people with your capabilities and dedication! Hill and I are traveling to the Europol headquarters in Berlin tomorrow for a classified briefing! You should seriously consider joining our operation!"]

[Quentin Beck stood up upon hearing this official invitation and firmly shook hands with the director.]

["Thank you for the offer! I'll definitely consider accepting your invitation!"]

[After receiving Beck's positive response, Nick Fury looked over at the 3rd generation Spider-Man standing nearby and walked directly toward him.]

["You have incredible potential and ability, Parker! But I can tell your heart isn't fully committed to this responsibility yet!"]

["Mr. Fury, I..."]

[Nick Fury interrupted him before he could make excuses and continued with his characteristic bluntness.]

["I also want you to come to Berlin with me and Beck! But you need to seriously think about whether you're ready to take this crucial step! Stark specifically chose you for a reason! He made you an Avenger! I need your complete dedication and commitment! The entire world needs your unwavering determination!"]

["Maybe Stark made the wrong choice in selecting you! Was he wrong about your potential? That decision is entirely yours to make!"]

[He gave Spider-Man one last penetrating look before turning and walking away.]

[Spider-Man stood there in contemplative silence. Quentin Beck got to his feet, walked over to the young hero, and gave him a supportive pat on the shoulder.]

["Let's go grab a drink and talk about this!"]

[Spider-Man was momentarily surprised before turning around and saying awkwardly, "Uh, I'm not legally old enough to drink yet!"]

Nick Fury looked at the young Peter Parker sitting in the audience and said with some regret, "Maybe what I said to him was a little too harsh, but it was necessary for his development!"

Little Peter Parker leaned silently into Aunt May's comforting embrace, processing the intensity of what he'd witnessed.

"You definitely scared him, Fury!" Natasha gently touched little Peter Parker's head in a motherly gesture.

"Am I really that intimidating?" Nick Fury touched his chin thoughtfully and turned his one-eyed gaze toward Harry and Ned for their honest opinion. Both boys involuntarily took a nervous step backward.

Their instinctive reaction spoke volumes about his imposing presence. Nick Fury shrugged his shoulders and said with rare helplessness, "Well, I guess that answers that question!"

Aunt May couldn't help but laugh warmly at this exchange. She had met Nick Fury before and was accustomed to his perpetually serious expression, but she hadn't expected to see him feel genuinely helpless when dealing with a few nervous children.

[The scene shifted to a cozy Prague tavern, where Quentin Beck sat holding a beer bottle while the 3rd generation Spider-Man sat across from him drinking fruit juice.]

["Hey! You should be celebrating right now! You accomplished something truly heroic tonight!" Quentin Beck gave Spider-Man another encouraging pat on the shoulder.]

["Yeah, I suppose so!" Spider-Man rubbed his temples, still processing everything that had happened.]

["Fury is absolutely right about one thing! Tony Stark did so much for you and believed in your potential! You owe it to his memory to live up to that trust! You owe it to everyone who's counting on you!"]

[Quentin Beck observed Spider-Man's increasingly negative expression and asked pointedly, "But is that really what you believe?"]

["Yeah! I mean... Mr. Stark gave me this incredible opportunity to use my abilities for something meaningful! He wanted me to become even better than he was! Fury expects me to live up to those impossibly high standards!"]

[Quentin Beck cut straight to the heart of the matter: "But what do you actually want for yourself, Peter?"]

[Spider-Man turned his head to look at Beck with confusion, "What do you mean?"]

[Quentin Beck repeated his question with emphasis, "What do YOU want for your own life?"]

[Spider-Man shrugged with uncertainty, "Honestly? I don't know anymore!"]

["What do you want right now? Peter Parker the person, not Spider-Man the hero! Right now, in this moment! I can see it in your eyes, I know what you're really thinking..."]

[Under Quentin Beck's skillful and deliberate guidance, Spider-Man's true feelings came pouring out: "I want to go back to being a normal teenager on a school trip! Right?"]

["I want to continue traveling around Europe with my friends! I want to climb to the very top of the Eiffel Tower with MJ! And up there, with the whole city of Paris spread out below us, I want to finally tell her how I really feel about her, and then... give her the most perfect first kiss!"]

[Quentin Beck couldn't help but chuckle warmly at this heartfelt confession.]

[Spider-Man looked at him with embarrassment, "Please don't laugh at me! I know it sounds naive!"]

["Are you seriously not going to pursue that dream?"]

[Spider-Man shook his head with resignation: "No! I can't allow myself to!"]

["What's stopping you from having that happiness?"]

["Because I have far too many responsibilities weighing on my shoulders! The world needs Spider-Man more than Peter Parker needs romance!"]

[At that moment, a friendly waitress noticed E.D.I.T.H.'s distinctive glasses that had apparently fallen to the floor earlier and picked them up, asking helpfully, "Excuse me, are these yours?"]

[Spider-Man suddenly realized that his incredibly valuable glasses had somehow fallen out during the excitement, "Oh! My God! Thank you so much for finding them!"]

[Quentin Beck's eyes immediately lit up with intense interest when he saw the high-tech glasses, "What exactly are those? Are they..."]

["E.D.I.T.H. glasses! Yeah, that's right!" Spider-Man's casual confirmation verified Beck's educated guess.]

[Quentin Beck frowned with apparent concern, "You just carelessly dropped something that important on the ground? Put them back on! Let me see how they look on you!"]

["Right now?"]

["Yeah, go ahead!"]

[So Spider-Man put the glasses back on and said hopefully, "I think they actually look pretty good on me!"]

["Can I be completely honest with you about something?"]

["Of course, go ahead!"]

[Quentin Beck narrowed his eyes with a critical expression and said bluntly, "They look absolutely ridiculous on you! Maybe there's a contact lens version that would be less obvious!"]
