"Not you?"

"Sorry, I don't have that kind of bad taste. Compared to that, I'd rather take revenge on you!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Antonia issued a command to the alien "Queen."

Initially, her purpose was to exact revenge on Peter, but now that he had appeared, her goal was within reach.

Using pheromones to control the "Queen" to attack Peter, Antonia gathered a potent destructive black energy in her hands.

"Bang!"

Vines erupted from the ground, emitting a heart-stopping "squeak" as they twisted.

The soil tore apart, scattering clouds of dust into the sky.

The massive, snake-like plant exuded an overwhelming force, charging toward Peter. The once-clear sky, filled with rain and mist, darkened ominously.

As Peter retreated, he shot corrosive webbing from his hands. The webbing, with an effect akin to acidic spider silk, immediately corroded the vines down to their core, producing a heart-wrenching "ziziz" sound.

While launching her attack, Antonia noticed something unusual about the "Queen."

It wasn't attacking but instead kept retreating. The murderous aura it had exuded earlier faded away.

It seemed hesitant, even fearful, of Peter.

"Bang!"

As the vines targeted Peter and he dodged, Antonia paused and turned her attention to the "Queen."

"What did you do?"

Her tone sharp, Antonia demanded again, "What have you done to the 'Queen'?"

The "Queen" exhaled anxiously, fixating on Peter with an expression that combined fear and hesitation.

Peter, meanwhile, remained expressionless, sensing the alien's emotions.

It felt as though some unspoken connection had been forged between them.

"If she's the 'Queen,' then perhaps I'm the 'King,'" Peter said quietly.

"Obviously, it's afraid of me," Peter explained to Antonia. "We both have 'demons' inside us. The difference is that your demon controls you, while I can try to control mine."

Peter closed his eyes and concentrated, using his thoughts to influence the alien. He projected an overwhelming sense of dominance and obedience into its mind as he slowly approached it.

At first, the "Queen" resisted his mental power, but the genetic suppression soon overpowered its defiance.

Finally, under Antonia's stunned gaze, Peter reached out and gently touched the alien's smooth, glistening head.

In that instant, a bond between Peter and the alien solidified.

Peter could feel its emotions—completely submissive.

The "Queen" leaned into Peter's chest, displaying no signs of aggression. It seemed as if it were seeking solace or resonance.

Antonia was speechless.

The "Queen," typically a vicious predator, treated every other creature as prey. The only way Antonia had controlled it previously was through a cocktail of her pheromones.

But now, without any apparent effort, Peter had subdued it completely.

Frustrated, Antonia tried to reassert her control over the "Queen," but no matter how hard she concentrated, there was no response.

"How is this possible?!"

After multiple failed attempts, Antonia watched helplessly as Peter calmly caressed the "Queen."

She demanded, "Why is the 'Queen' obeying you? How did you break my connection to her?"

Peter shrugged. "I didn't break anything. It's natural. Maybe it has something to do with my genes."

"Impossible!" Antonia snapped. "Even if it shares your genetic material, that doesn't explain why it's fully obedient to you."

"You can't ignore the facts, Professor Aguilar," Peter replied coolly. "This might just be a case of natural selection. As a biology teacher, shouldn't you understand this better than anyone?"

Peter's tone shifted as his eyes hardened. He commanded the "Queen" mentally to turn its aggression toward Antonia.

Obeying his order, the alien redirected its hostility toward its former master.

Yet just as it prepared to strike, the "Queen" froze, its attention drawn elsewhere—to the distant city shrouded in rain and fog.

Peter immediately realized the "Queen" had sensed something unusual in the direction of Bear Mountain in the state park.

That's where Kraven the Hunter was rumored to be stalking his prey.

The "Queen" became restless, breathing heavily as if overwhelmed by the scent of a new, irresistible target.

Peter frowned. Was it possible Kraven had found something... monstrous?

Understanding the potential danger, Peter refrained from issuing any further orders. Forcing the alien under such strain could destabilize his control.

Looking at Antonia, Peter warned, "This matter is between you and me. Don't involve anyone else—especially Gwen."

"This isn't just your concern, Peter," Antonia replied, though she couldn't hide her confusion over the alien's shifting behavior.

"You're just chasing the truth, Professor," Peter said. "I'll tell you everything I know. If that's not enough, we can continue this fight. But it seems like you're losing ground."

Antonia hesitated, her brows furrowing.

"You're wrong, Peter Parker. If I had gone all out earlier, you wouldn't be standing here now. But none of that matters. Start talking—what's the truth about the 'Queen'?"

"Not now," Peter said simply.

"Why not?"

"You'll find out soon," Peter replied, his gaze fixed on the state park.

Meanwhile, in a New York theater:

Fletcher sat in the cinema, watching Kraven's live hunting broadcast on the big screen.

"Want some orange soda?" Gina asked, offering her a glass.

The movie projector wasn't showing Midnight Howl, but rather a live feed of Kraven's hunt.
