MARVEL -BLACK SPIDERMAN

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: The Girl Who Looks Like a Sculpted Work of Art

Location: Parker's Residence

On weekends, Uncle Ben and Aunt May rarely stayed home to rest.

"Peter, how's Harry doing?" Aunt May asked Peter as she bustled around.

"He's holding up, but he's taking a break from school to deal with company and family issues," Peter replied, setting aside the Daily Bugle.

Aunt May sighed. "I hope he stays strong. Harry's a good boy."

Uncle Ben chimed in, attempting to comfort her. He then picked up the newspaper Peter had discarded. As usual, the Daily Bugle was condemning Spider-Man—both of them, in fact—labeling them as murderers. The same issue also reported on monster attacks in Bear Mountain State Park.

"Bear Mountain," Uncle Ben muttered. "That's in New York State Parks. I was planning to go camping there. Guess I'll have to cancel now."

He sounded disappointed. He'd even bought a tent for the trip during a recent supermarket run.

Aunt May joined him on the couch, watching the television. Suddenly, a deep voice filled the room:

"I came to hunt the monsters in Bear Mountain State Park and, while I'm at it, kill the two Spider-Men. But that depends on my schedule. My first priority is taking down those monsters."

Peter frowned at the TV, where a man who called himself "Kraven the Hunter" was making bold claims.

This Kraven seemed like a crazed hunter. While he might have some skills, he came across more as a flashy TV personality than a serious threat.

"And now, back to you in the studio," concluded the CBS news anchor.

Uncle Ben scoffed, turning away from the screen. "This feels like nothing more than a publicity stunt."

Aunt May, however, seemed more open to the idea. "Even if it is, Kraven is still a TV star. It might make for an entertaining show."

Peter looked at her, puzzled. "Aunt May, do you actually watch his show?"

"Why not?" Aunt May asked as she collected the dishes. "Can't I watch something other than Cooking with Carol once in a while?"

Peter tried to suppress a grin. "No offense, Aunt May. I just didn't think it was your thing."

Aunt May snatched the chocolate bar from Peter's hand and shot him a stern look. "Don't underestimate me, Peter. And you're not allowed to eat in the living room!"

Peter glanced at Uncle Ben for support, but all he got was a shrug.

Just then, his phone buzzed. It was a text from Gwen.

"Peter, did you see that? That Kraven guy just said on live TV that he's coming for us!"

"I saw it, Gwen," Peter replied. "But his first target isn't us."

"That's not the point!" Gwen texted back. "He had the audacity to say something like that on TV! I'm not going to let him off easily."

Peter chuckled, replying, "Then don't spare him."

As he hit send, Gwen was at her dining table, sneaking glances at her father in the kitchen.

"Maybe we should hang him off a bridge to teach him a lesson," she texted again, half-seriously.

Peter didn't expect such a fiery reaction.

"Don't worry. He's no match for you," he reassured her.

"Of course not," she replied. "I'll make sure to put him in his place."

As Gwen put her phone away, her father, George, called out from the kitchen. "How was band rehearsal?"

"Not bad. Can I have an extra serving of pasta, Dad?" she asked, taking her seat at the table.

George raised an eyebrow. "You've been eating a lot lately."

"I've always had a good appetite," Gwen replied casually.

George hesitated for a moment. "Gwen, I've noticed something's been bothering you lately. If you don't want to talk to me about it, that's fine. But have you spoken to anyone else? I'm worried about you."

"I have, Dad. Peter and I talk all the time," she assured him.

As much as Gwen wanted to open up to her father about everything, including her alter-ego as Spider-Woman, she held back. Instead, she focused on her pasta, hoping to mask her emotions.

"I'm fine, Dad. Really," she said between bites.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Bear Mountain, the night was eerily silent. The dense forest seemed abandoned, as if even nature had chosen to stay away.

Peter, clad in his sleek black exoskeleton suit, prowled through the trees. His mission was clear: investigate the so-called "Bear Mountain Monster."

Suddenly, his senses heightened. In the moonlight, he caught sight of a figure—a tall woman, her presence otherworldly.

Her golden earrings glimmered faintly in the dark, and her figure was nothing short of sculpted perfection. Her red attire, barely covering her, highlighted her curves in a way that was both mesmerizing and unsettling.

Peter's instincts told him one thing: she wasn't human.

Moments later, the mysterious woman vanished into the shadows without a sound.

Peter tensed. He wasn't sure if her disappearance was due to invisibility or some kind of magic. Regardless, he couldn't risk letting her roam unchecked.

In a flash, he swung into action.

Their ensuing battle was fierce, their movements swift and precise. The woman's strength and agility matched Peter's in ways he hadn't anticipated.

When the woman revealed black wings, her aura shifted entirely. Her presence became almost divine, exuding an energy that shook the surrounding space.

"Who—or what—are you?" Peter muttered under his breath, preparing himself for whatever came next.
