Chapter 15: Chapter 15 (Remastered)
'I didn't think I would meet Daredevil so soon.' Tristain thought as Markus explained the situation regarding his older brother, Clive to Foggy and Matt.
Markus was still not sure about the two lawyers that Tristain had dragged him to, but he took it as a chance and explained everything to them.
On the other hand, both the young and inexperienced lawyers listened to Markus' words with focus. And as they listened to the case, they gradually understood that it was serious.
"So, you are saying that your brother was found with a bloody knife and a dead body next to him?" Foggy asked after Markus had finished narrating everything he knew.
"Yeah, that's what the police told me."
"They didn't let you meet your brother?" Matt asked, cocking his head a little.
"No, my mom and I requested it, but they didn't budge."
Matt fell into a thought hearing that. From his heartbeat, he knew that Markus wasn't lying but he wasn't sure if they wanted to take this case or not.
After all, he didn't want to save Clive if he was really the murderer.
"Are you sure your brother didn't kill that woman?" Matt asked, his tone serious.
"I'm sure my brother didn't kill anyone. He wasn't that kind of person. He's kind, hardworking and I can never picture him as a murderer."
Matt nodded his head after confirming that he wasn't lying. Then, he gestured towards Foggy who quickly stood up and made a phone call.
It was for a split second, but Tristain was able to peek at who Foggy was calling – Brett Mahoney.
If his memory served him right, Brett was a police officer and Foggy's childhood friend. Foggy would often bribe him for information.
For a while, a conversation including a 'Box of cigarettes' and 'Brett's mother' went on. After some time, it seemed like Brett finally agreed to provide information to Foggy about Clive's case.
Things went quickly after that.
Foggy and Matt confirmed that the case was something they wanted to take, and that they would be Clive's lawyers.
Markus was happy when they agreed to take the case, immediately thanking Tristain before leaving to share the news with his mother.
No lawyer had agreed to take their case previously, so just this much was a big deal for Markus.
"Are you not going to leave with your friend?" Foggy asked him, to his surprise Tristain didn't leave with Markus.
"We will take care of the case from here." Matt added.
"I was just going to leave." He shook Foggy's hand. "Thank you for taking up the case."
"It's our pleasure."
Tristain walked out as he smiled smugly thinking about his good deeds, indeed he was a gift to the world.

[A big scandal in one of the biggest construction companies in Hell's kitchen!]
[Breaking news – Ally constructions found to be in cahoots with underground gangs. A list of their illegal activities.]
[All the upper echelons of Ally constructions are being questioned in what seems like the biggest scandal of the year.]
Tristain read the news article on his phone as he smiled to himself.
Matt was a really good lawyer.
He was currently sitting in the Chikara dojo, his practice having ended just five minutes ago. As he was resting, he decided to check out more articles on the Ally constructions scandal.
It had been four days since Tristain and Markus had visited Foggy's and Matt's firm.
Just the next day, they had published a full report on Ally constructions and soon, all the other newspapers had followed, bringing a close to the illegal activities in Ally constructions.
For this job, Tristain received a trait called *Sixth sense* which was basically the Spider sense but slightly worse.
"Hey Tristain." As he finished one article, someone called out. He raised his head to look at Markus walking towards him.
"What are you doing here, Mark? I don't think beginner classes are running today." Tristain asked.
He had already gotten promoted from the basic beginner classes two days ago and was finally learning more advanced stuff. As Mark was still in the beginner classes, they would rarely see each other.
"I know that. I came to say thanks." Mark said, bowing his head suddenly. "You introduced me to those lawyers and thanks to that, my brother was saved."
After the scandal broke out, Clive was released from all charges. In the first place, the police already had proof that Clive wasn't the murderer.
They were stalling for time to make a deal with Clive but after the scandal broke out, there was no need for that.
In the end, Clive was released, and the story was swept under the rug.
"You're welcome mate, and as payment I will request that you would pay for my coffee."
"Sure thing."
Tristain stood up and followed Mark out of the dojo. He had been tired due to juggling between his ordinary life and being a vigilante, so this would act as a break.
