Marvel 1919 : Rise of an Empire

Seeing George easily catch his probing attack, Black Bolt let out another soft cry, and an even larger surge of destructive energy assailed George with renewed fury.

George shifted smoothly into a defensive stance, positioning his hands protectively in front of himself. With a thunderous 'boom,' the concentrated energy struck the surface of his blue energy shield. George only retreated half a step from the tremendous impact.

"The energy output is impressive, but it's a pity you're facing me," George said with a slight shake of his head.

The next instant, George had already materialized on the high platform, one hand resting casually on Black Bolt's muscular shoulder. It was only then that the Inhuman King managed to react to the instantaneous movement.

With teleportation at close range, unless there were corresponding countermeasures already in place, one could only helplessly take a beating.

However, considering that he wasn't here to destroy Attilan or harm its people, George merely placed his hand on Black Bolt's shoulder without taking any further aggressive action.

The moment Black Bolt felt the large hand settling on his shoulder, he immediately understood that he had been completely outmatched. So he wisely closed his mouth, no longer attempting to output destructive energy.

Although Black Bolt himself possessed considerable combat skills and flight abilities, these conventional abilities simply couldn't harm someone like George.

No matter how devastatingly powerful an attack might be, if it couldn't hit its intended target, it was completely meaningless.

After closing his mouth and accepting defeat, Black Bolt began a series of rapid gestures with his hands, communicating in the royal sign language.

Medusa, standing attentively nearby, stepped forward at the opportune moment to translate his words: "Our King wishes to know why you have come to Attilan, and are you truly an Earthling?"

"I am indeed an Earthling, Ms. Medusa. However, you don't need to continue translating for us. I believe we have a much better means of direct communication," George said calmly, extending his mental power to establish a connection with both Black Bolt and Medusa.

He then spoke directly using his enhanced mental abilities.

The Inhumans' natural mental defenses were generally not particularly high, and mental intrusion was usually extremely difficult to guard against effectively. Just like now, when George suddenly began speaking directly in their minds, it startled them both considerably.

"Remarkable! I didn't expect you to also possess advanced mental abilities. Do you know a great deal about our Attilan and its people, sir?" Black Bolt and Medusa exchanged meaningful glances, speaking through the mental link with lingering apprehension.

"Please don't worry about my intentions. In fact, I bear absolutely no ill will towards Attilan and the Inhuman people. I'm simply here to get properly acquainted with you all. And then I'd like to offer you some important suggestions," George explained reassuringly.

"Please speak freely," Black Bolt responded with cautious interest.

"First, Earth is not a simple place right now, so please keep your people carefully in check and do not allow them to easily set foot on Earth's surface. Once any of you do something significantly out of line on Earth, the consequences will not be what you want to see."

George paused before continuing. "Second, I plan to establish a comprehensive Moon Base somewhere on the Moon, and I've come to give you advance warning of my intentions. Also, Earth, including our entire Solar System, will not remain peaceful in the future."

"So if you wish for a stable and secure life for your people, I can find another suitable place for you to relocate," George concluded, finishing his entire proposal in one measured breath.

To be completely honest, George had never seriously thought of truly taking the Inhumans under his wing or using them as his personal enforcers.

This was because the Inhumans' inherent flaws were far too obvious, and their supernatural abilities also had a clearly defined upper limit. The Inhuman abilities George could remember that were relatively impressive were only Jia Ying's life energy absorption and the future Quake's devastating vibration ability.

The others were simply too limited in their applications, though of course, this assessment was compared to his own capabilities.

Relatively speaking, the Inhumans' abilities were not nearly as outstanding or versatile as those possessed by Mutants. So as long as they didn't run completely wild on Earth's surface, George was too busy to bother with their affairs.

However, if they were genuinely willing to relocate, George didn't mind allocating a substantial piece of land on Ancient Star for them to live peacefully.

After all, Ancient Star was enormously vast, and appropriately increasing its population would also be very beneficial.

Moreover, with George's current level of strength, he didn't need to worry about these Inhumans causing any serious trouble.

"This is a significant decision. Could you allow us some time to discuss it thoroughly?" Black Bolt requested diplomatically.

"Of course, there's absolutely no rush on my part. Once you've reached a decision, you can contact me at any time," George said graciously, handing over a sophisticated communicator for future contact.

"Excellent, I won't disturb your important discussion any further. Please contact me once you have a definitive result," George said, then took the initiative to disconnect the mental link and teleported away from Attilan immediately.

In fact, George was also extremely interested in Attilan's advanced technology. After all, genuine Kree Empire technology was actively used throughout their city, and there were many technological areas worth studying and learning from.

These included regional atmosphere control technology, advanced shield projection systems, and various other innovations.

Although Attilan primarily used crystal-based energy, which was fundamentally different from the energy systems George had previously obtained, they all ultimately led to the same destination, the efficient utilization of energy.

Learning about different technological approaches was also highly beneficial for George to develop new applications of gravity manipulation. George was also particularly interested in Attilan's sophisticated gene-matching technology.

After leaving Attilan behind, George did not immediately rush back to Earth. Instead, he carefully chose a strategic spot on the front side of the Moon and personally established a super-large barrier enchantment. From the outside, everything appeared completely unchanged, but in reality, no matter how much commotion occurred inside the protected area, it would not be discovered by outside observers.

Then George made a special trip back to Ancient Star and transported all the previously stockpiled engineering robots and vast quantities of construction materials. Of course, the Predator cruiser and four fast attack ships were also transported over for defense.

George then handed over the entire Base construction project to Monday, using the comprehensive Moon Base blueprints directly from the "Starship Troopers" dimension.

The key objective was to establish a super-large radar detection system, equipped with both the advanced stealth system and counter-stealth detection system from the "Predator" dimension. Then, after enhancing everything with additional stealth methods from his magical knowledge, George believed that unless he deliberately exposed himself, it would be extremely difficult for Earth's current technological level to discover his presence.

After instructing Monday to keep constant surveillance on Attilan's movements and activities, George returned directly to his castle on Earth.

For several weeks afterward, besides occasionally checking on the Moon Base's steady construction progress, George also carefully reviewed various pieces of intelligence information Bucky sent him regularly.

For example, George noted that Mar-Vell had already successfully replaced a research scientist within Project Pegasus, and was now working undercover to advance her own agenda.

For some of these critical messages, George would specifically reply with detailed instructions on how to proceed. For other relatively unimportant messages, he would simply skim over them quickly. For someone like Mar-Vell, before Project Pegasus reached completion, only continuous careful observation was needed.

The alien tissue samples Bucky had brought back earlier had also been thoroughly tested, but they were too severely damaged to provide any meaningful research value.

However, George made another special trip to Dr. Mar-Vell's crashed spaceship and extracted some genetic material from the deceased Skrull for detailed research.

George was extremely curious about the Skrull's remarkable ability to freely shapeshift into other beings. George felt that if he could thoroughly research and understand this ability, it would play a huge role in strengthening and enhancing his own physical capabilities.

Time passed steadily, day by day. Since his last visit to Attilan, no further news had arrived from the Inhuman people. It seemed they had chosen to continue staying in the Moon's protected blue zone, not wanting to change their location.

George could easily understand this decision, as the Moon's blue zone was truly the most suitable place for them to live and thrive.

It was also completely normal for them to be naturally wary of relocating to a place offered by an outsider like George, whom they had only met once.

Although no news came from Attilan, another significant piece of intelligence reached George: Dr. Zola had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Although it was still in its early stages, there was currently no effective treatment method available for his specific illness.

S.H.I.E.L.D. attached tremendous importance to the critical issue of Dr. Zola's treatment, and for this urgent purpose, a special Security Council meeting was convened.

More critically, Howard Stark had submitted a controversial proposal regarding Dr. Zola's future.
