Chapter 469: White Blue
The Flying Andorian Ship docked at the legendary port of God Island, and a gangplank was lowered to the harbor.
"…This is the place, huh?"
Kiernan looked out of the ship towards the forest but couldn't see far and definitely didn't see any sign of civilization.
Except the bustling port with carriages leaving and coming through a forest path that seemed to lead somewhere.
Some were fishing on the harbor, but it looked like they were just fishing in air, but the line of their fishing rods went all the way down to the sea below.
'I suppose others aren't allowed to see this. They're locked inside the ship, after all.'
Kiernan thought about the other representatives that he fought in Zero Event—since they lost, they weren't allowed to look at God Island.
He then approached the gangplank, but at that moment, Iron Knuckle MacJesus put his arm in front of him to stop him.
"You're only allowed to leave once I've received my payment."
MacJesus said, and lit up a cigar between his lips, puffing clouds into the air.
At that moment, a sweet-looking Aella stepped up the gangplank, hopping elegantly over the railing and into the ship.
"Hello~ Is my representative here, perhaps?"
She asked with a sweet smile.
A few pirates looked at her with a look of lust and knew that there were plenty of beauties in God Island, but they didn't expect someone as lovely as her.
"Payment first."
MacJesus said in a cold tone.
"Here!"
Aella took a pouch of emperor gold coins from her purse and handed it over to him—he quickly counted it all.
"Ngh."
MacJesus, with a rough tone, just nodded and stopped holding Kiernan back from leaving.
"You must be my representative~ I come to pick you up. Welcome to the glorious God Island, the most beautiful, most gorgeous, most fun, and greatest place in the whole wide world!"
Aella spun around in excitement, her skirt billowing out behind her, and she looked ecstatic, like she had never been happier in her entire life.
'Is she on drugs?'
Kiernan frowned, just nodded awkwardly, and followed her off the ship—she kept skipping and humming a tune—and they soon arrived in a carriage.
"Haha!"
Short laughed while watching the two of them board the carriage and said to his brother.
"You see the face of her representative? He must think that she is crazy or something!"
"Isn't she crazy?"
Shawn asked with a wry smile.
…
Gallop~
The horse-pulled carriage came to a stop in front of a humble, yet nice-looking house, and Aella turned with a smile on her face to Kiernan.
"And here we are. This is where you will sleep during your duration in God Island. Any questions, my dear representative?"
"No… thanks…"
Kiernan hopped off the carriage with a pounding headache, as during the whole ride, Aella didn't stop talking for a moment.
Not for a single moment.
He doubted that she even breathed as she just kept talking like a broken record.
"Alright then~ The key is under the welcoming mat~ Good luck in the events~"
She said, yanked the reins, and drove off in a carriage, but she went way faster than the twins did, and the pedestrians had to run out of her way or she would just run them over.
Kiernan picked up the key from underneath the welcoming mat, but before opening the door, he turned around.
The arena loomed in the distance.
"It sure is big. Makes New Rakuya's arenas look like a cheap joke."
Kiernan thought out loud, then opened the door and stepped inside—he entered the living room.
As soon as he did, the television came on, and a person in a hoodie appeared on the screen—he looked approachable.
However, when he looked at the papers in his hands and knew who he was talking to, some of that friendliness disappeared.
The weak weren't respected in these parts of the world—it didn't matter if one was representative—if they represented a weak country, they were not taken seriously.
The person just briefly informed Kiernan about the rules of the event, and once he was done, he didn't wait for questions and just ended the broadcast.
The television turned dark.
"Multi-event championship. It means that it might not be purely based on fighting but could include other types of challenges or competitions as well."
Kiernan laced his fingers and pondered.
"It'll start in a few days, and there will be one event per day."
…
A ship docked in the port, and a young man with white-blue hair and a bowl cut walked down the gangplank with his head held high.
The pirates behind him were carrying his bags, looking like servants, hilariously enough.
"You pirates are not allowed to take a step in God Island!"
Shawn and Short approached them, wondered what the hell was going on, and stopped the pirates before they stepped onto the island.
"It's fine. These two are my servants now. I need someone to carry my bags to my residence, don't I?"
The young man said with a smirk.
"Only the representative is allowed to take a step onto this island, so carry your fucking bags by yourself!"
Short shouted.
"Tch, tch…"
The young man moved his front bangs out of the way, looked at the twins, and arrogantly said.
"Who do you think I am? A commoner? I am not carrying my bags, so if my servants aren't allowed to come here, maybe you two will carry those bags for me then?"
Short's face turned so red that he could be mistaken for a tomato, and he was moments away from just exploding.
"Very well, young sir. I'll take those bags!"
Shawn said with a humble smile, snatched the bags from the pirates, and looked at the young man.
"Good, at least one of you has brains!"
The young man laughed.
However, at that moment, Shawn just tossed the bags off the edge of the island, and they fell way down until they landed with a splash in the ocean.
"Ah… all my fucking stuff was there. How am I supposed to live now?!"
The young man asked in anger.
"We do not care, you little shit."
Short said with a growl.
"I am Zeus Abracadabra of Nightingale. You'll regret ever crossing me!"
Zeus screamed in anger.
"Ah, the child of Abracadabra. Fucking great."
Shawn clicked his tongue, grabbed Zeus from the back of his shirt, and tossed him inside the carriage.
"How dare you toss me around?!"
