Many children bring happiness, a shameless start

Chapter 51: Chapter 51

In the winter morning, it was still so dark.

Lip naturally woke up at this time.

He quietly got out of bed, dressed, and prepared to go for a run. But when he went downstairs, he found that someone had woken up earlier than him.

Steve was already busy in the kitchen.

"Are you ready to join the Gallaghers?"

"To love someone is to love everything about them. Since Fiona can't let go, I have no choice but to share the burden with her."

"Thank you, I hope you fall in love with this chaotic life soon!"

"Maybe! Who knows!" Steve smiled.

Lip made a dismissive gesture, then left through the back door.

He hadn't gone far when he saw a man standing in the open space beside him, burning a pile of firewood.

The man had a cigarette in his mouth and stared blankly at the Gallagher house.

"Frank?"

"Hi Lip!"

"What are you doing?"

"The basement was like an ice cellar. I couldn't take it anymore, so I got up to warm myself."

"Okay, you bake slowly while I go for a run!"

"Lip, wait, can I talk to you?"

"What about?"

"Just a casual chat between father and son."

Lip immediately thought this old bastard couldn't be up to anything good, but then he decided to play along and see what bad ideas Frank had in store.

"Alright."

Lip walked over and stood two meters from Frank.

"I might leave the South Side, or even Chicago, for a while."

Lip stared at Frank in disbelief, trying to detect any sign of insincerity, but Frank's expression was flawless!

This meant Frank was serious!

But why would this old bastard suddenly leave his comfort zone?

Lip was puzzled.

"I'm going to be a chef."

"Frank, are you out of your mind? Why would you want to be a chef? With your cooking skills?"

Lip, still wanting to complain, suddenly realized Frank wasn't talking about the type of chef he thought. He meant a chemical chef like Lao Bai.

"Do you want to be a Heisenberg?"

Frank didn't answer but stared at the fire and smiled.

Lip didn't know what to say at that moment.

"Don't worry, I have good news for you!"

Frank was full of confidence.

After some hesitation, Lip asked the question on his mind: "Frank, what have you been through? Why did you turn into the bad guy you are today?"

"Me? Uh… let me think about what went wrong." Frank became lost in thought, then slowly said, "Huh~ Maybe it started when I became Peggy's child!"

"Why are you still talking about Grandma?" Lip was very confused.

Frank sneered and spoke calmly: "Lip, you should know that your mother is a violent madwoman, and so is my mother."

"What? Really?" Frank nodded and began his story: "I was born in the 1960s. My father was of Irish descent, Peggy was of Mexican descent, and my ancestors were part Native American."

"My father came from a small middle-class family. When I was a child, our conditions were decent. I had enough food and clothing. I went to a missionary school and studied art. I played the piano pretty well."

"Peggy barely acted like a mother, but when she got sick, she turned into a devil!"

"Since I was 9, I've often suffered domestic violence, especially from Peggy."

"Did she do this to her other two sons?"

"No, only me!" Frank said hopelessly. "If there are multiple children in a family, the mother will always have one she likes the most, and of course, one she hates the most."

"Unfortunately, I was the one she hated. In all the years I was abused, I never saw the other two beaten, not once!"

Frank was clearly enraged.

Anyone who endured such a childhood would feel despair and anger. Lip thought. But Frank's next words left him speechless.

"When I was thirteen, I had my first visit with my great-uncle. When Peggy found a sheet with a map on it, she was furious. After beating me, she brutally and mercilessly violated me!"

"Oh my God!" Lip was stunned with shock.

"To this day, I still don't know why Peggy disliked or even hated me so much," Frank said calmly, though Lip saw deep sadness in his eyes.

"I never thought that I might not be my father's biological child." Frank continued. "After Peggy had an affair with my elementary school teacher, my father found out, and their relationship became strained. My father disappeared not long after. I don't even dare to wonder if he might have died at Peggy's hands."

"This… isn't possible!"

"Not so? When I was fourteen, Peggy became a well-known chef, and she was the one responsible for my drug addiction."

"A generous gift, huh!" Lip's scalp tingled with shock.

What a perverted and evil bitch Peggy was! She could do such things to her own son!

Most people only have a grey childhood, but Frank had a dark childhood. No, his was the kind of dark that could taint the soul!

Lip knew he couldn't run this morning.

Because he had to be baptized in front of Frank—a refreshment of his entire worldview!

"Frank, are you making up stories to trick me?" The shock was too severe for Lip to believe it.

"Lip, just think of me as drunk and talking nonsense!"

"But please remember my words: when fate's rape comes suddenly, no one can escape unscathed!"

Frank laughed bitterly.

Lip didn't say anything, just handed over a flower with a solemn expression.
