Chapter 316: Thalion- The guardian of the new world
Leon and Ni'an had a deal around their seige of Sky palace and it stated that he and his companions would be responsible for fighting and clearing the way when against the forces of Sky palace leaving room for Ni'an and his fellow disciples to pass without interruptions.
However, on the off case that they had to fight against a truly powerful being, no matter how strong, Ni'an had to intercede.
—pheeee
And so, as Leon flew around burning the mages to a crisp on his Drake, he did so with impunity and vigor—
that's is until a sound similar to the very wind being split apart resounded causing him to look to the side in horror.
A young kid with a bright blue diamond on his forehead could be seen speeding forward in an astronomical space.
"Don't worry, I got this one"
As Leon's eyes widened in shock, Ni'an voice resounded next to him as he appeared beside him and threw a fist out intercepting the young man.
—boom!!!
Immediately, a wave of energy blasted out forcing Leon's Actualization to dissipate, flinging him into a building far away.
"Fuck!!" He cursed struggling out of the rumble as he looked at the two figures in the sky facing each other.
"You don't know your place child of god" the young kid with the glowing diamond in his forehead said staring daggeredly at Ni'an.
There were a lot of restrictions on him preventing him from making moves without the express consent of the palace lords/hall leaders. It prevented him from doing even the most basic things.
However, there were certain conditions that allowed him to negate these restrictions to an extent and one of them was the presence of a member of the DragonGod clan in sky palace.
"Hmp!!" His eyes trailed unto Leon as he sneered at him.
The moment he used his Actualization he had signed his death warrant.
"Keep your eyes on the prize Artifact man" Ni'an appeared next to the kid all of a sudden and sent a giant palm attack filled with radiant light barreling towards him.
Feeling the giant palm strike rush towards him, Thalion hurriedly dodged not making the mistake of being caught by it.
He was stronger than Ni'an by several folds, but the loophole in his restrictions that allowed him to act just now was dependent on the threat level of Leon.
As he was but a great warlock, he could only use his strength capped at the stage of a transcendent being.
Yes, this little kid here was much more powerful than a Transcendent being hence his position as ultimate guardian of The new World.
"You'll regret this Child of god!!" Thalion sneered looking at Ni'an as they prepared to exchange blows.
"Maybe I will, or maybe not" Ni'an smirked, he believed that in the whole of Sky palace there was only one being that could beat him and that was Thalion.
Thalion here was a being that was beyond the trancedent stage but was heavily restricted by the human Emperors magic….saying he was his only match was absurd and arrogant.
But if he wasn't absurd and arrogant would he still be called the child of god?
"Die!!" Thalion lounged forward sending a fist at Ni'an as In the next seconds they began to exchange a flurry of punches that echoed through sky palaces.
Two transcendent level beings duking it out in the middle of any structure was a disaster level event.
Buildings collapsed from the punches and small dams broke in the irrigation pathways causing the flooding to become worse.
This was a problem.
"We don't have time, everyone to the needles eye!!" Seeing the fight go into full swing, Leon barked at the monks forcing them to jolt out of their surprise.
They were in all honesty the ones holding Ni'an back as without them he would have already crossed the needles eye. Discover more stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"Okay!!" They all nodded simultaneously dashing forwards towards the needle eye.
Under the cover of the battle with Ni'an an the rest…their journey became much smoother.
…
" They sent wizards huh?" Right infront of the crack in 'The wall' a few sky palace guards could be seen observing and directing a group of new comers making their way through the needles eye.
"Are we so desperate?" The guard next to the first one asked looking at the group of humans in dirty robes.
Wizards
They were a subsection of mages who had undergone a dependency ritual allowing them to enter the stage of level 4 but at the same time making them more powerful than the average great mage.
Their relationship with mages was the same as the relationship warlocks had with sorcerers.
They were interconnected, but they hated each other more than anything.
"Hm?" As they watched the Wizards unpack, the sound of the wind breaking and the emergence of a massive serpentine shadow overtook them causing them to look up in confusion.
"Is that a dragon?!!" Shock over took them as their mouths opened Wide.
Dragons were mythical beasts that hadn't been sighted in the three regions for milinias, they had never seen one and surely nither had their parents.
This was…..terrifying!!
However, as the cowered In shock and fear, another set of individuals were thrilled at the sight.
"Dragons? Awesome!!! We are going Dragon hunting boys!!"
The wizards looked up at the Drake in the sky and joy overtook them, they had grown up with tales of dragons and how the human emperor would tame them in the central continent, even going as far as using them as steads.
To fight or even tame a dragon was a dream of every kid in the central continent.
They all stated pulling out weapons of different varieties and before you knew it—
—Boom!!!
On of them leaped into the sky with a heavy hammer and brought it down on Leon's Drake with all his might.
"Hm?" Leon was a bit taken aback seeing this happen.
It was one thing for a transcendent being to attack his Actualization so readily, but who was this person? Did he not fear death.
"Shithead!!" One of the monks behind Leon jumped off the drakes back and threw a descending punch directly at the wizards head forcing him to plummet down into the ground.
"we'll teach you a lesson" he cracked his knuckles, they were sick and tired of running from fights, now it was time for them to show how powerful they truly were
