Magus Supremacy

Chapter 334: Pure Annihilation!

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion of energy erupted, slamming into Scarlet with such ferocity that it launched her several meters backwards.

The sheer force of the blast left the air vibrating, as Kael calmly enveloped himself in swirling shadows, a wry smile curving on his lips.

"Welcome back, deep sleeper," he muttered.

The shockwave was so intense that even those a few meters away shielded their eyes instinctively.

A luminous burst of energy danced across the arena, warping the very air, while the beasts stood frozen, their primal instincts warning them not to move.

As the light gradually faded and the thick tension began to lift, Grey emerged—floating just above the ground. His crimson hair billowed wildly, caught in the aftershock winds. Then, without warning, his body dropped to his knees with a dull thud.

His robes were charred and tattered, burned from the earlier lightning strike. Scratches lined his face, but no fresh blood spilled—save for a deep gash on his head from an earlier impact.

"Hey, sleepy head. You awake yet?" Kael asked as the shadows around him dissipated. Grey slowly lifted his head, blinking as his vision adjusted.

"Kael?!" he gasped, gripping his head as pain flared. "What the hell happened? What's going on? And why the f*ck did you hit me with a lightning bolt?!"

Kael shrugged, voice soaked in theatrical nonchalance. "Why else? To wake you up, of course. The side characters had their moment. I figured it was time to wake up the main character."

"Side characters? Main character? Are you even listening to yourself?" Grey grumbled, struggling to his feet. Kael stepped in front of him, blocking his view of the wider arena.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Kael asked, one brow arched.

"What was the last thing which I remembered?" Grey asked, his eyes squinted, trying to piece it together. "Hmm... I was teaching a naughty brat a lesson. Just when I was wrapping things up, something hit me hard... knocked me out cold."

"Naughty kid?!" Dave's voice rang out, incensed.

Grey tilted his head, eyes locking on Dave with an amused grin. "Shush. The elders are speaking."

"I swear I'll—"

"Dave," Dante warned, stepping in before his teammate could do anything rash.

Grey's gaze swept the battlefield. The arena was in shambles—stands reduced to rubble, magical scorch marks etched into the earth. His teammates stood bruised and exhausted, barely keeping upright.

Behind them, a swarm of beasts gathered—over five hundred in number—snarling and waiting. The portals still surged with energy. In the distance, their captain remained seated, still meditating, steadily drawing in mana.

"Sheesh..." Grey muttered, shaking his head. He turned to Kael, voice low. "We'll talk about the damn lightning bolt later. Right now... something else needs me."

"Grey..." Charlotte's voice trembled as she stepped closer.

Grey raised a hand to halt her. "You all did your best. I see it, I feel it. I'm sorry I didn't wake up sooner... but I'm here now. Just give me some space."

As he passed, the students moved without protest. Greg, eyes glistening, stopped and placed a trembling hand on Grey's shoulder.

"Grey... I... I...I...I don't blame you... but I wish you woke up sooner. Vorden and Gordon... they'd still be here."

Grey froze. His pupils dilated.

'Wait, what? Gordon? Vorden? What does he mean? What happened to them...?' he panicked inwardly, eyes scanning the field. But he couldn't find them. The realization struck him like a physical blow.

The beasts noticed the humans retreating and surged forward with renewed ferocity, charging straight for Grey.

His hands clenched tightly, head bowed, jaw grinding in anguish.

''I…I…I…I had promised. I had swore not to lose any of my loved ones again. I promised to protect each and every single person. Yes, I wasn't really close to Vorden or even Gordon.

But they were apart of my team, my squad, my group. And…and…and I let them die while I was busy snoring away?!' Grey thought, droplets of tears dropping down his bowed head as the beasts kept charging towards him.

With a sigh, he raised his index finger.

"I have nothing much to say to you all only five words," Grey growled, voice barely human, filled with raw emotion.

His eyes glowed like twin stars. The approaching beasts roared.

"Fusion Magic: Raijin Spiral Ultra!"

In an instant, energy exploded from his body, roaring like a thunderstorm. His robes flared, his crimson hair whipped upward, and crackling lightning echoed like drums of war. The ground beneath him trembled.

With a deafening howl of wind and mana, twenty enormous tornadoes composed of interwoven lightning and gales spun into existence. Each vortex radiated destruction, swirling with elemental might.

The wolves lunged. The ogres swung their weapons. The gorillas charged, fists pounding toward Grey.

Zoom!

They struck—only to find Grey was gone.

Eyes darted upward—he floated high above them, eyes glowing, surrounded by his chaotic maelstrom of elemental fury.

With a single snap of his fingers—

BOOM!

The tornadoes launched at impossible speed, shattering the sound barrier with thunderous claps. They descended like divine punishment.

In moments, beasts were shredded, torn apart like paper in a hurricane. Lightning arced between bodies, wind slashed through bones, and the ground itself split open under the immense pressure.

The attack didn't just destroy the beasts. It obliterated everything in its path. The battlefield quaked beneath the storm.

With one move—Grey had annihilated five hundred level 8 beasts. Not a trace of them remained.

Shock silenced the arena.

Kael grinned. "Now that's the Grey I know."

Grey descended, landing softly with clenched fists, positioning himself directly in front of one of the portals.

"That was impr—" Kael began, then stopped. His eyes widened. "Grey! Move!"

"Huh?" Grey blinked. Then—he felt it.

A sinister life force. Cold. Vicious. Ancient.

"Shit!" he cursed, spinning around and throwing up an earth wall—

Bang!

The wall shattered like glass. A massive impact slammed into Grey, sending him flying. Blood sprayed from his mouth as his body crashed into the debris.

"Guys…" Max called out as he saw the portals flaring up, his hairs all standing up on his body with his instincts screaming at him to run far away. "Remember when I said we are dead the other time? Well, we are ultra dead at this point."
