"What's happening to me?" Raze asked, raising his hand to scrutinize the swirling energies before shifting his gaze to a lumbering ogre. "The sweet taste of power," he murmured, his voice tinged with awe, as a colossal metal sword suddenly roared into existence above him.

With a deafening thunderous bang, the blade slammed down, slicing through the ogre with brutal force.

The impact unleashed a shockwave so powerful it slammed into Jay, nearly sending him flying—had Amir not been there in the nick of time, gripping him firmly to steady his balance.

As the choking dust began to settle, the scene that unfolded left them all wide-eyed in disbelief: the ogre was cleaved in half, the gigantic metal sword impaled deep into the cracked ground, towering ominously over the fallen beast.

"What the hell?!" Jay exclaimed, his voice thick with shock, eyes locked on the devastating display of raw power Raze had just unleashed.

Raze himself stared at his hands, a mixture of astonishment and disbelief washing over his face. His eyes grew wide as he took in the overwhelming magnitude of what had just occurred.

"Woah… The captain has so… so much power and mana," Raze muttered, his gaze lingering on his trembling hands just as sudden movement from the remaining ogres snapped his attention back to the battlefield.

"Look out!" Jay shouted urgently, pointing toward Raze, who barely had time to react.

Luckily, Amir was quicker. With a sharp snap of his fingers, a massive metal spear shot forward, slamming into an ogre that had raised its sword, intent on striking Raze.

"With you here, I can finally clear out these ogres quickly," Amir said with a confident smile, lifting his index finger toward the sky. Raze mirrored the gesture, smirking as the remaining eight ogres charged forward with terrifying speed.

"Water creation magic: Serpent of the Sea!" Jay roared, thrusting his hands forward.

Bang!

A thunderous explosion echoed through the arena as a gigantic serpent formed entirely of swirling, churning water lunged forward.

It crashed into an ogre with the force of a tidal wave, sending the beast hurtling across the arena, its body smashing into a wall and leaving a gaping, deep wound in its stomach.

"Shall we?" Amir asked with a grin, nodding toward Raze, who returned the smile as the remaining seven ogres circled them like predators.

On cue, the beasts surged forward with incredible, earth-shaking momentum, while Amir and Raze stood firm.

Their index fingers remained raised, water beginning to whirl ominously around Jay's hands. Beads of sweat trickled down his face, evidence of the strain.

"Go!" Amir commanded, and simultaneously, they both swung their fingers down, unleashing a devastating barrage of metal swords raining from above.

The very air quaked and trembled under the assault as the countless swords crashed into the ogres.

Despite desperate attempts to block, the sheer force of the attack shattered their defenses. Weapons clattered to the ground, and lifeless bodies thudded heavily onto the arena floor.

Raze gazed at his hands once more, disbelief and exhilaration mixing in his expression.

'I can't believe it. I… I killed level 7, 8 beasts? All on my own? No—this isn't just my power, but the borrowed might of a captain. So this is what Captain Amir's power truly feels like.'

Even after such a massive attack, Raze felt no exhaustion. 'Why was the captain holding back? I still sense a tremendous reserve of mana swirling within me after copying his magic. Why hold back?' His eyes flicked toward Amir, who was calmly scanning the battlefield, calculating his next move.

'Anyway, I wish I could make this power mine… permanently. What if I'm ever without others who wield magic? How will I survive? I need to find a solution soon. But for now, I'll savor this power while it lasts.'

"Come on, there are still many beasts wreaking havoc," Amir said, turning sharply. Raze and Jay immediately dashed forward, eyes locked on eliminating as many enemies as possible.

'I have to keep holding back,' Amir thought, narrowly dodging a swing from the massive, six-armed gorilla.

He thrust his hand forward, summoning a gleaming metal sword that shot toward the beast—but the gorilla, with its overwhelming strength, swatted it away. The sword slammed hard into the cracked ground.

'This is the first time I've encountered a portal break spawning different species of beasts,' Amir mused, quickly leaping backward just before the gorilla's massive fists crashed down.

The shockwave from the swing distorted the air itself, a violent ripple shaking the very atmosphere. Amir barely escaped unscathed, snapping his fingers to launch a volley of metal spears.

The gorilla dropped to all fours, dodging and weaving with an agility that belied its enormous frame. It ducked, swiped, and dodged each spear with breathtaking speed and power, but misfortune struck when one spear accelerated sharply toward its head.

The beast raised two of its six arms, blocking—but the spear penetrated deeply, black blood oozing from the wound.

Seizing the moment, Amir dashed forward. His hand outstretched, a metal sword materialized in time. With a swift leap, he avoided the remaining four arms swinging for his head and spun, his sword arcing above him.

With a thunderous crash, the blade cleaved clean through the gorilla's neck. Using the fallen beast as a foothold, Amir leapt away just as a spray of blood erupted, the gorilla's lifeless body collapsing with a heavy thud.

'So I need to conserve my strength and not go all out. Because I have no idea how strong the boss would be. Seeing these different types of species, I just hope that a boss from each specie doesn't suddenly pop up.' Amir sighed inwardly while shuddering at the thought of having to fight multiple boss level beasts.
