Magic Sect of Beauties: The Strongest Mage is in a Cultivation World

Chapter 316: Departing for the Eastern Continent.

The day had come.

Before the sun even touched the sky, Yang Wei was ready to head to the Eastern Continent. He couldn't waste any more time since he needed to get the cure for Mu Lingxi and Ming Huiran as soon as possible.

Yang Wei wore a light blue robe with white and dark blue accents that gave it a refined look. The collar was high and fastened with small, delicate buttons. The sleeves were wide and had intricate designs, featuring gold and dark blue trims that stood out against the lighter fabric. The cuffs were decorated with blue gemstones that were actually celestial Qi enhancers.

This attire was called the Celestial Warrior Robes and was given to him by Bai Suzhen. It could withstand two full-powered attacks from a Spirit Ascension cultivator.

"Alright, that settles that..."

Flicking his sleeves grandly, Yang Wei stepped out of his cultivation room. The first people he met were his two students, He Dongmei and Lu Xinyi. He Dongmei held a sad Tianyi in her arms, while Lu Xinyi stood at attention with her hands behind her back.

Yang Wei sighed heavily. "I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get the chance to teach you two more before I left. Especially you, Xinyi..." He looked at the masked girl.

Lu Xinyi cupped her fists in a greeting gesture and bowed her head. "Please, do not worry about it, Grand Elder!" she said reverently.

He Dongmei looked quite sad, almost on the verge of tears, but she sniffled loudly and squeezed Tianyi tightly to hold back her emotions. The poor dragon gasped for air as she hugged him like a makeshift pillow.

Yang Wei smiled at He Dongmei and placed a hand on her cheek. "Sweet Dongmei, I expect you to take care of everything on Grand Elder Peak for me, okay?" he asked gently, smiling softly.

He Dongmei nodded excessively, doing everything she could to hold back her tears.

Yang Wei then gently caressed Tianyi's cheek and said, "I'll also leave Tianyi in the capable hands of you two. Who better to watch over him than my own two students, right?"

Both women nodded silently.

Looking at Tianyi, Yang Wei saw the sadness in his big blue eyes. He knew the dragon wanted to follow him, but Yang Wei couldn't risk Tianyi getting harmed in the Eastern Continent if anything serious happened. When Tianyi found out he wasn't going to join his master on this journey, he felt sad, fearing it would be like when Yang Wei left for his year-long seclusion.

But this time was different.

Leaning closer, Yang Wei looked Tianyi in the eyes.

The dragon rubbed his face against Yang Wei's palm, making sad noises.

Yang Wei smiled and spoke gently, "My boy, while I'm gone, you must remember to be obedient to your aunties, okay?"

The dragon nodded obediently, though he still looked quite sad.

After that, Yang Wei made his way outside the Grand Elder Hall, where his beloved Huo Yue and other brotherly residents were waiting for him.

Wu Fengtian immediately ran to his respected Senior Brother and hugged him tightly, crying into his chest.

Yang Wei looked to the side uncomfortably, wondering why he had to be hugged like this by another man.

"BAAAH, I'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH, SENIOR BROTHER!!"

Wu Fengtian cried endlessly.

Squeezing his eyes like he'd licked a sour lemon, Yang Wei reluctantly patted the young man's head while exhaling an impatient sigh.

"I-, it's fine... now stop hugging me."

"Baaaah! Y-, yes... Senior Brother!"

Nodding but still crying loudly, Wu Fengtian moved aside, hiding his face behind his hands. It seemed like he was crying because he was sad about his Senior Brother leaving, but that wasn't the whole truth.

Inside, he felt quite pleased.

Lately, almost all the female disciples in the sect had fallen for Yang Wei, which made him very depressed. With Yang Wei around, it felt almost impossible for him to find a Dao partner. Every girl he liked seemed to be charmed by Yang Wei, which only made things worse for him.

He even stopped his sisters from joining the Celestial Serpent Sect because he didn't want them to fall for Yang Wei, especially his dear little sister, Wu Xinqi. He couldn't bear to disappoint his family by not finding a wife. He was sure his parents were already saying Yang Wei was a better and more responsible son since Yang Wei had already married three women.

So, when he heard that Yang Wei would be leaving for the Eastern Continent, his entire world was filled with radiant colors and pure excitement.

The next people Yang Wei saw were Jin Tianyu and Huo Zhenwei. The two brothers clasped their hands together in a greeting gesture and bowed slightly as they both said. . .

"We will miss you, Senior Brother!"

Yang Wei placed his hands on his waist and smiled at them. It was remarkable to think that he had become friends with these two──one had once been an arrogant young master who didn't know his left from his right, and the other had been a reserved fellow who blindly followed his friend's questionable orders out of brotherly love.

Now, they had both grown in many ways, which made Yang Wei smile with pride.

"I didn't expect Tianyu to have reached the False Core realm. I'm sure if I return in a few months, you'll already be a Core Formation expert. And then there's Zhenwei, who has awakened his fire spirit root, increased his grasp on spirit-refinement, and even mastered a technique comparable to the Core Formation level."

Yang Wei was genuinely impressed with their progress.

The two brothers, hearing these compliments, did their best not to blush──their Senior Brother's praise and high expectations made their hearts swell with joy.

Yang Wei placed a hand on both their heads and smiled.

"I will bring some gifts for Feng and you both when I return from the Eastern Continent."

Patting their heads gently, he walked between them and approached Huo Yue, who waited for him with a sad face.

Yang Wei maintained a smile to keep her from feeling too bad.

Huo Yue wiped some tears from her eyes and held out an ornate wooden box. "I spent the night making these pastries for you so you could eat them during your trip."

Yang Wei looked pleasantly surprised as he took the box and licked his lips a little. "These look like they'll be tasty!"

But that wasn't all Huo Yue had prepared.

"Oh right!" she said.

The beauty reached into her pouch and bringing out a sizable gray sack, placing it atop the wooden box.

"These are all the necessities. I also brought some spirit medicines for your trip."

She added two more sacks on top.

"And this..."

"Oh, and I can't forget these!"

"And I-, I also got you these!"

She kept stacking sacks until there were so many that she couldn't even see Yang Wei's face anymore.

Yang Wei peeked around the load and asked, "So, is that all?"

Huo Yue reached for her storage pouch and said, "I, um... still have a few more things, but I thought they'd be too much."

Yang Wei chuckled and said, "Yeah. I think I'll be fine with these."

After that, Huo Yue clasped her hands to her chest and lowered her head, looking sad.

"Darling, I hope you take care of yourself and make sure to wash your clothes when they get dirty. I put some buckets and soap in your storage pouch, so use them, please. I've been busy with a lot of things, but I just want you to be safe on your trip and come back soon.

"Don't have too much fun and forget about us; I'd be really sad if you did. I also want us to think about having a child soon, but if that's too fast, I'll... I'll wait until you're ready. Just don't forget what you have here, please.

Every word she spoke came from her heart.

Yang Wei placed a hand on her head and gently stroked her soft, light-blue hair, keeping a reassuring smile on his face. Feeling the soothing touch, Huo Yue looked up and met his eyes.

"Don't worry too much about anything," Yang Wei said. "I'll bring back Su Meirong and heal Lin'er, and then we can return to our normal lives, okay? Your husband is blessed, so I will be fine."

Huo Yue wiped her tears and nodded obediently. No matter how strong Yang Wei was, she would always worry about him.

A few hours passed.

Yang Wei had finished packing everything Huo Yue gave him and neatly stored it in his storage pouch. Now, he was at the entrance of the Celestial Serpent Sect, and to his surprise, the first person he saw was Mu Lingxi, waiting with her arms folded.

It reminded him of when he left for his year-long seclusion, but this time, it felt like she was actually waiting to leave with him.

Even with that thought in mind, Yang Wei asked, "Lingxi, what are you doing here?"

Mu Lingxi raised an eyebrow and replied. . .

"I'm following you to the Eastern Continent, of course. I talked to the sect founder, and she agreed to let me accompany you since I am a grandmaster. You'll be relying on your Core Formation cultivation base there, so surely you didn't think you'd be leaving here alone, right?"

Yang Wei shrugged a little. "Eh, it wouldn't change anything. I could handle the cultivators there quite easily."

"But more than that..." Mu Lingxi tightened her fists with remorse. "I want to do my best to become a better big sister to Lin. If she's suffering from spirit wounds, then I should be the first person to ensure she's healed. Not you..."

Yang Wei smiled at her and said, "So it'll just be you and me on this journey then. I like that."

Mu Lingxi's cheeks turned a little red, and her eyes widened.

"Uhh, yes."

She cleared her throat loudly, closed her eyes, and looked away.

The classic sign of embarrassment for women of the Mu clan.

Before anything more could be said, Yang Wei noticed two people behind him.

When he turned, he saw it was Grandmaster Lin Feng and Chief Mu Zhihao.

His eyebrows went up, and he said, "Oh, Grandmaster Lin, and Father-in-law too…"

Mu Zhihao's face tightened, and he mumbled under his breath, "He called me father-in-law. To think I've become this old."

Yang Wei walked over to them, a little concerned about why these two suddenly wanted to speak with him. It was unusual, as he hadn't had many conversations with them in the past.

"Is anything the matter?" he asked.

Grandmaster Lin Feng stroked his beard thoughtfully before explaining.

Fairy Su Meirong was Lin Feng's aunt and the true head of the Su Clan. There were several clans, sects, and institutes under the Su Clan, and if Su Meirong was not found, the martial pact would likely be dissolved. The women of the clan would never accept Lin Feng as the head, as he was just a figurehead ruling in Su Meirong's place.

Most of the martial pacts the Su Clan had were mainly because of Su Meirong's wives. She had six wives, but to spread the clan's influence to a new generation, she forced Lin Feng to sleep with her six wives and get them pregnant to seal their bloodline with that of the allied clans.

In essence, if Yang Wei could not find Fairy Su Meirong, it was likely the Su Clan would lose a large portion of their power in the coming years.

"Wait, so you don't actually have a harem? Su Meirong is the one with the harem?"

Yang Wei burst out laughing.

Immediately, Grandmaster Lin Feng's face contorted with frustration. "That's not the point here!" he shouted, clearly annoyed. He threw a jade pendant to Yang Wei, who caught it effortlessly.

Examining it closely, Yang Wei saw it was a blue and gold item────the Su Clan Seal.

Grandmaster Lin Feng continued, "If you meet with her, give that seal to Su Meirong and tell her I will step down as temporary clan head if she refuses to return. At this point, I don't care what she wants to do to me; she won't force me to compromise my principles anymore."

Mu Zhihao gave Lin Feng a sidelong glance. "That's quite bold."

"Indeed."

Lin Feng reconsidered his words and added, "Please, don't mention that last part to her."

He feared his aunt, and Liu Yan often used her favor with Su Meirong to threaten him.

Yang Wei nonchalantly stored the seal in his pouch.

With Lin Feng done speaking, Mu Zhihao stepped forward and handed two items to Yang Wei──a neatly packaged pink letter and a golden dragon ring adorned with exquisite jade studs.

"What are these?" Yang Wei asked, taking them.

Mu Zhihao explained, "The ring is the Dragon Space Ring, an early wedding present from me. It can automatically refine and store anything you need. It's equipped with up to seven-fold spirit-refinement, more than enough for you."

Yang Wei then held up the letter. "And this?"

Mu Zhihao winced, clutching his chest.

H-, he didn't even care that it was a wedding present. Why is the world so cruel...

Feeling down, the old man replied, "I-, it's a letter from Pill Master Huo. I received it from Peak Chief Guo on my way here."

Yang Wei smiled. "Oh, how thoughtful!"

Mu Zhihao muttered quietly to himself, "He doesn't give a damn about the treasure I gave him, but a simple letter has got him grinning like that. Huh..."

Yang Wei slipped on the Dragon Space Ring and asked them, "Is that everything?"

Grandmaster Lin Feng nodded once. He'd said his piece and done what he came for.

Meanwhile, Mu Zhihao felt compelled to leave some wise parting words. He put on a smug smile and started.

"You know, Wei, now that you're joining our Mu Clan, we should start hanging out more often──"

His fellow peak chief tapped his shoulder abruptly.

"What now?" Mu Zhihao demanded.

Grandmaster Lin Feng pointed ahead and said, "He's already gone."

"THAT BASTARD!!"
