Chapter 62 Clara
"Hi Clara" I replied with a smile.
"You're already done?"
"Yes, I'm just resting since I have nothing else to do"
"Oh, can I sit?" She asked.
"Of course"
She looked like a saint with her, the way she spoke and acted, who wouldn't want to be friends with her, and since I came to the academy she's the only one among the girls that doesn't talk bad to me.
"So, how's your day? How was your afternoon training? I saw you guys swinging swords; isn't that the same training we did?"
"No, we had a sparring match with our instructor, and depending on how you did, you'll be asked to swing your sword"
"How many times did you get?" She asked immediately.
"1000 swings" I replied.
"What!! Wait you swung your sword a thousand times, like one through one thousand?" She asked again with a surprised look on her face.
"Yes, and that was the lowest, some got 5000 swings, swinging a sword is one of the most basic ways to train, it helps you get familiar with swinging your sword, and increases your stamina"
"Wow, I didn't know swordsmen were this cool, I always wanted to learn swordsmanship, and since I got into the magic academy I knew once I'm done with my magic lessons I'd begin training with a sword"
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you know anyone in the academy that has an affinity to wind, I'm trying to learn a few basic spells?" I asked.
After spending three years in the academy, I'm sure she knew someone with an affinity for wind.
"Really, I can teach you; I have an affinity for wind," Clara replied with a huge smile.
Shit...what are the odds that the person I asked to find a wind user for me is a wind user herself? Since I had already told her what I wanted to do, I couldn't reject her help, but I'm not even sure she was trying to help me.
"Oh, I had no idea, I was just trying to learn a few spells so I thought someone who already did would have more insights into it"
"Of course, I'm the second-best wind user in the academy," Clara replied.
"That's amazing, who's the first?"
"The princess, and with her level of magic, no one in the academy would be able to defeat her currently. She's at stage 8, and she was told that with enough training, she'll be able to break through to stage 9 before finishing the academy," Clara spoke.
"I didn't know she was that powerful" I muttered as I looked away and sighed.
"Is something wrong?" Clara quickly asked.
"No, it's nothing," I replied; I was giving her the impression that I was regretting since I was sure she'd report our conversation to the princess.
"So when do we start?" Clara asked as she ate.
"It's already evening and I have training, so maybe tomorrow after morning training, you can just show me a thing or two"
"Tomorrow it is" Stay tuned to empire
"So Clara, where are you from? When I first saw you, I thought you were a noble since you looked so beautiful," I spoke, and Clara choked on the soup and quickly faced away to cough.
"I'm sorry," she quickly replied before turning towards me, "What did you say?"
"I thought you were from a noble family, you're very pretty"
Clara quickly faced away, and I could see a smile on her face; in the library, she told Mirabel she wanted playtime with me, but I was going to be the one playing with her.
"See you later," I spoke as I stood up from the table; I took my plates and returned them before exiting the dining hall.
For now, I was going to train. The academy had training dolls, so I was going to use one; the training dolls had different levels of difficulty, and I already knew how to use one since I had one at home, but I didn't use it much.
The training doll had three stickers attached to its back, green, yellow, and red, and it was made using magic. Green was the easiest and red the hardest, but it was for training, so it wasn't that hard.
I picked up a wooden sword, went to the back of the doll, and infused Mana in the doll; after infusing Mana, you had to give it 10 seconds, so during that time, I moved to the front of the doll and waited.
The doll's hands moved, and I knew it was ready, so I charged forward, gripping the wooden sword tightly.
The doll's hands were already raised, ready to block or strike. I aimed for a quick slash to its side, but the doll's arm spun around to intercept the blow.
The sound of wood clashing as I stepped back, my eyes focused on its movements.
The doll didn't take a step, but its waist spun, arms sweeping outwards as if to push me back. I dodged, barely avoiding a hit.
It was quick, faster than I remembered; maybe it was because I hadn't trained with the doll for quite some time, or the academy training dolls were different.
I adjusted my stance, testing its reactions. Every time I moved, the doll's waist rotated to follow, arms still ready for defense or attack.
Since I infused Mana in it, my Mana had been registered so the doll would follow my movement as I was its opponent.
I feinted a strike to the left, then switched to a low slash on the right. The doll blocked it with ease, but I wasn't done.
Using the momentum, I spun around, aiming for its back. The doll spun its waist again, blocking me with one arm and trying to hit me with the other. I barely ducked under the swing.
I circled the doll, watching the way it moved. Its arms were quick, but the way its waist spun left small gaps in its defense. I just needed to time it right.
Taking a deep breath, I lunged again, swinging the wooden sword toward its head. As expected, the doll's arm shot up to block the strike.
Instead of pulling back, I twisted my body and let the momentum carry me in a full spin. As the doll's waist began to rotate to block my next move, I shifted low, aiming a quick, upward strike toward its side. For a split second, the doll couldn't react fast enough.
My wooden sword connected with a solid thud against its torso.
I stepped back, breathing heavily, a slight grin forming on my face. The doll's arms were still raised, ready for more, but I had landed the first hit.
I continued training for quite some time till the day became dark, and I stopped as I couldn't see too well anymore; after waiting for 20 seconds, the doll deactivated, and I picked it up and returned it to where the others were.
After training, I wanted to take a bath, but as I walked toward the dorm, I met Freya, who was just leaving the dorm.
"Xavier, did I take too much of your time? I'm sorry for coming so late; I thought you wanted to wait till it got very dark," Freya muttered as soon as she saw me heading back.
"No, that's not what happened; I was training," I replied, and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Should I wait for you in the dining hall?" She asked.
"Where's the secret spot you found? It's already dark; let's head there," I spoke, and a smile appeared on Freya's face.
I was tired but not enough to miss the plan I had with Freya, after I'm done with her then I'll take my bath and head to bed, but for now, my little brother was already getting hard since I knew what I was going to do.
I'm sure May would be disappointed, but I already had a threesome earlier today, so I should proposely focus on Freya for tonight.
We walked past the training ground and the dining room and then Freya began looking around to make sure no one was looking at the both of us then we moved forward.
There were few buildings there, and I had no idea what they were used for, but we got to a small building, and Freya pushed the door open.
The door opened without making any noise and both of us walked in.
"Are you sure about this?"
"No one actually sleeps here, it's just for resting"
Freya spoke as she opened the second door and we went in.
The inside was just like our dorm room, but it had a comfortable bed instead of bunk beds, and it was more spacious than our rooms, and it had another door that led to the bathroom.
"Are you sure no one uses this?" I asked; it just seemed like where someone was staying.
"No one comes...mmm..." Freya stopped as our lips joined, and at that moment, we heard the front door open.
