Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 157 Final Dungeon

Xavier stood with his hands on his knees, breathing hard. He had been at this for almost two hours, and he had successfully mastered the technique.

He knew he had when the system gave him the information, the technique was a combination of speed and precision attack, which, instead of one strike, results in Xavier striking three times.

With over two hours of training, he was now used to his new stats. Even though his stats were increased threefold, he had to practice so his brain could catch up with how powerful he now was. His strength and stamina also increased a bit.

His agility, spell power, and Mana were his strongest stats; even though his stamina was low, he couldn't feel it in this realm.

Xavier sat on the ground. He wasn't tired in that sense, but his brain needed rest, his Mana also; he had been creating [Frost Reflection] of himself for two hours now.

He wasn't planning to rush into the last battle, he was going to take his time getting ready.

Xavier sat still.

His sword lay by his side. The air was quiet now. Only the sound of his own breathing filled the space. Slow, steady… heavy.

He closed his eyes, and Sylve's face came to his mind, and he let out a sigh, even though it was her choice to sacrifice herself, Xavier knew it was because of him, so that he could move to the final barrier.

Xavier closed his eyes and lay on the sand. This was going to be the final nap he took, and after this...he would either win and return to the living world, or die and end his journey here.

But the latter wasn't on his mind; he was too determined, even if it wasn't for himself, he couldn't let Sylve's sacrifice go to waste now that he knew there was a chance to bring her back to life.

Even though Xavier's eyes were closed, he was still deep in thought before he drifted off to sleep.

"You really think your champion can win? If he does win and I can't revive that elf, should I tell him it was your idea to dangle false hope in his face?" the god of death spoke.

"I thought you said there was no chance, let's wait and see...also if he does win, you remember what we talked about"

"Yes... Instead of just one wish, I'll grant him two wishes...but if he loses, you'll pick another champion, lead him to his death, and I'll take his soul," The god of death replied.

"Perfect then, call me when he's awake" She replied before vanishing.

Hours passed before Xavier's eyes fluttered open. He couldn't tell time passing in this confined space, but he was well rested, and he could tell.

Xavier stood up and stretched his body. After a minute, he began running to further ready himself.

He did it for about 20 minutes, running, walking, stretching, and swinging his sword a few times, then he took a deep breath.

"I'm ready," Xavier spoke, and the god appeared the next moment.

"Finally...this is the final obstacle and the hardest, after this last room, you'll cheat death and return to life...that is if you do win." The god spoke, and Xavier cracked his neck.

The god stretched his hand, and a portal shaped as a door appeared, and he stepped through. Xavier followed suit.

The moment Xavier stepped through the portal, his feet touched smooth stone and his eyes went up.

The room was massive. Way bigger than any he had seen before. The ceiling stretched so high it almost felt like the sky.

The walls made of dark stone wrapped around the space, but they were clean, sharp, and shaped.

It looked like a dungeon… but it was too well kept unlike the other.

Crystals were placed all around the walls glowing softly in shades of blue and white.

The light they gave filled the entire room, with no sign of shadows anywhere.

Xavier walked forward slowly, sword in hand.

The ground beneath him was wide and flat, made from square stone tiles. He was sure what this was supposed to hold since he wasn't seeing anything or anyone around; it was just him and the god of death.

At the far end of the room, there was another platform. Raised slightly. Like a stage. But it was empty.

Xavier looked around once more, slowly walking to the center of the room. His boots made soft taps on the floor, but nothing else moved.

His heart was calm, and his hands steady.

This was it. He didn't need anyone to tell him. Everything about the room made it clear, he was going to face the god of death.

Xavier stretched his shoulders and cracked his knuckles. His body felt lighter than ever, and the pressure in his chest faded. He wasn't afraid of the thought of fighting the god of death; he felt nothing.

"When you're ready, tell me and I'll bring your opponent," He said.

"My opponent?"

"Yes...wait, you thought I would be the last obstacle, even if you have lived ten thousand lives, you still wouldn't amount to a fraction of my powers" The god spoke

"Alright then, I'm ready," Xavier spoke as he tightened the grip on his sword, and a large portal opened on the stage. The portal was so large that it could accommodate the dragon he faced before.

The first thing Xavier saw was a large red foot with sharp claws sticking out, then the rest of the body came out.

In front of Xavier was a three-headed Cerberus.
