Lust Harem: Emperor Of Two World

Chapter 5: Lena Seeks Help

The couple downstairs were plotting something, but Yasin couldn't possibly know what. At the moment, he was busy strategizing how to quickly kill 10 zombies to recharge the system's energy.

In the second-floor tool room, he found a large wrench and a hollow steel pipe. Additionally, inside a desk, he discovered a military dagger. This made Yasin quite pleased. The only disappointment was that he didn't find any firearms in the house.

In the U.S., guns are legal—anyone with a firearm license can legally own one. But clearly, the previous owner of this house either had no intention of keeping a gun or, for some reason, wasn't qualified to own one.

Now, Yasin planned to use the tools at hand to craft a spear. He had already considered that a spear would be the most suitable weapon against zombies. Its length provided an advantage—every extra inch meant greater safety.

Moreover, stabbing was more efficient than slashing. Bladed weapons could easily get stuck in a zombie's bones, making them hard to pull out. With so many zombies around, a good knife would quickly dull or chip, whereas a dagger wouldn't.

From the way the car crash had attracted a horde of zombies earlier, it seemed these creatures were highly sensitive to sound. So, using firearms to kill zombies might not actually be the best choice.

As Yasin tied the dagger to one end of the steel pipe with rope and rivets, he reflected on what he'd observed earlier and the knowledge he'd gathered from zombie shows, formulating his next steps.

Knock, knock, knock…

A series of knocks sounded at the door.

Gripping his newly crafted spear, Yasin cautiously opened the bedroom door.

"Hello, sir!" A melodious female voice greeted him.

Lena Whitmore leaned seductively against the doorframe, her tall, slender figure forming an enticing S-curve. The snowy, firm swell of her chest peeked subtly from the side—not overly ample but perfectly rounded and perky.

"Hello, Mrs. Coleman. What can I do for you?"

Seeing the stunning beauty visiting him alone made Yasin, a thirty-year-old single man, nervous and dry-mouthed. His mind couldn't help but wander.

If Jack Coleman weren't in the picture, perhaps he and Lena Whitmore could have shared a delightful post-apocalyptic "romance." But the morals and values instilled in him from his past life kept Yasin from acting on such thoughts.

He wasn't the type to cross ethical lines, no matter the temptation.

For now, he just wanted to coexist peacefully with the couple. In this apocalyptic world, having companions was a blessing.

Lena Whitmore glanced at the makeshift spear in Yasin's hand, her brow furrowing slightly before she quickly masked her unease with a charming smile.

"Sir, could you do us a favor? We left some essential supplies in our car. They're very important to us. I was hoping you could help my husband retrieve them."

As she spoke, she placed a delicate hand on Yasin's shoulder, her expression pleading.

"I can tell you're a brave and strong man, and your heart is kind. A good person like you wouldn't refuse to help me, would you? You wouldn't make a weak woman like me face those zombies alone…"

Feeling the warmth of Lena's body pressing against him and the tingling sensation of her slender fingers trailing over his chest, Yasin's thoughts began to drift.

But the memory of the horde of zombies flooding the front yard earlier snapped him back to reality. Without hesitation, he firmly declined.

"There are too many zombies outside. Going out now isn't a wise choice. I'm sorry, Mrs. Coleman, but I can't help you. If there's nothing else, I need to rest."

Most men, faced with such a pitiful and alluring request from a star like Lena Whitmore, would puff out their chests and agree without a second thought—if only to save face. But to Yasin, was pride more important than his life? Risking his safety for a few supplies didn't seem worth it.

"It's noon now. Most of the zombies outside have already left. I just checked—there are only five in the yard. The rest have moved on. Between the two of us, dealing with five shouldn't be too hard. Besides, the broken gate needs repairs."

Just then, Jack Coleman stepped forward, nodding at Yasin.

"The zombies dispersed that quickly?"

Surprised, Yasin followed the couple to the living room window and peered outside. Indeed, the front yard, which had been packed with zombies earlier, now held only eight, all of them sluggish and lethargic, barely moving under the eaves.

"These walkers seem to hate sunlight. It's bright out today, so most of them have retreated to the shade. I noticed this a few days ago. If it hadn't been for last night's rain, we might've already reached the shelter by now," Jack explained quietly.

This was excellent news for Yasin. The zombies were already slow and clumsy. If they also avoided sunlight and were less active during the day, picking off the stragglers after the horde dispersed would be much easier.

Now was the perfect time to go out, kill some zombies, and recharge the system!

"Alright, I'll help you. Once we're outside, I'll handle the zombies. You focus on getting the supplies from the car," Yasin said, tightening his grip on the spear and taking a deep breath.

Helping Jack and Lena was secondary. His main goal was to kill zombies and gather enough energy for the system. This was a golden opportunity!

Hearing Yasin agree, Lena and Jack exchanged a glance, their faces flickering with a mix of relief and something more complicated.
