Luna's Hex

Chapter 7: CHAPTER 7

Zevian's POV:

"Don't tell me you're trying to escape!"

I asked trying to get her to respond back, but she immediately turned around on hearing my words still trying to run away from me.

I blocked her again in the opposite direction.

"Who are you huh?" She looked at me with eyes that never seemed to accept defeat.

"You can never escape from the Shadow moon Pack," I said avoiding her question. "Your speed is nothing compared to an average warrior, you had better turn back." I advised in a soft and gentle manner.

"Who are you to give me orders?"she barked back at me.

She's a stubborn one. I said to myself.

"I can take you back myself if I want to, but I don't see any gain in doing such. It's better you go back yourself, you have no chance of escaping don't make things worse than it already is."

"I see you are lucky to have been taken in as a maid and not a slave, I would advise you go back if you don't want your status to drop."

I didn't know why I took my time to explain to her that disadvantages of running away, but it was something I had to do to at least keep her safe.

I could hear Zac wailing telling me not to let her go. I accepted the fact that I also didn't want her to leave as worse things could happen to her out there.

I saw her eyes take on a softer tone and her shoulders slumped as she looked at me with parted lips seeming like she wanted to say something, but close her lips right after.

"Can you please help me escape?"

Her sudden demand jolted me back from my thoughts as she looked up at me with pleading eyes making it hard for me to break eye contact.

"What?"

I thought I was able to convince her to turn back, I don't know why I even bother.

"You're a big, and strong, and can overpower a thousand warriors no one will dare stop yo…"

"I can't do nothing for you," I replied coldly cutting her sentence before she could reach a full stop.

"If you are so stubborn and wouldn't heed to my advice, then the road is all yours," I said while moving away from her path.

"Besides, where would you go from here?"

I asked but got no response as she seemed lost in her thought. I watched her turn her back against me and she headed back in the direction from which she came.

Nyra's POV:

"Don't tell me you're trying to escape," he said blocking my path.

What have I gotten myself into this time? I thought in my mind. If I had just gone on my way without being distracted I would have been out of here by now.

"Who are you?" I could sense no danger from him but what could he possibly want from blocking my way.

I looked up at him with bravery in my eyes as I thought he would let me go if he sensed no fear emanating from me.

"You had better turn back now before it's too late because you have no chance of escaping the Shadow moon Pack. Your speed is nothing compared even to that of an average warriors."

"Who are you to give me orders?"

I needed to find a way to get out of here fast before anyone notice my absence.

I listened to his words of advice, clearly he's been here long enough to know this much about the Shadow moon Pack. I soon calmed my nerves after realizing how low my chances of escaping were, but an idea suddenly struck me.

"You've been here long enough, you know this place too well, you're big and strong, can you please help me escape." I looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"I can't do nothing for you, if you are so stubborn not to heed to my advice then the road is all yours," he suddenly turned cold towards me.

"Besides, where would you go from here."

This last question struck me hard apparently I haven't thought my plan through. I had nowhere to go to, I don't have a pack I belong to, no family no nothing I'm left alone in the world with nothing but revenge to hold on to.

Emptiness filled with my heart as I turned to go back to the pack without giving him an answer.

I increased my pace and started running towards the pack. once I noticed the forest was becoming less thicker, seeing the familiar buildings and pillars in front of me, I stopped and hid in each one of them one after the other.

Reaching the last pillar before the Alpha's Villa, I stopped in my tracks realizing I had little chance to go in without being noticed by the guards. Lost in my thoughts I felt a cold grip on my shoulders.

My heart almost jumped out of my mouth for the fear that I had been discovered by one of the pack's members.
