Chapter 3: Something Is Wrong With Harry (Part 2)

Lea and Harry are sitting on a couch, waiting for the goblin who deals with inheritance tests. A goblin enters with a greeting and then sits behind the desk. "My name is Ragnok, and I am the Chief of Gringotts. We rarely get asked to do extended inheritance tests, so I have taken these kinds of jobs myself for the customer to have the best confidentiality Gringotts can offer." Ragnok explains with less of the gruff goblin accent.

"Nice to meet you Ragnok. My name is Lea Long, and this is Harry Potter." Lea says with a small bow and Harry copies her.

"Harry Potter? Really? Well, I guess there is no point in asking when we are about to do an inheritance test. Please put seven drops of blood into this bottle. You would only have had to put three if you were doing the regular test. Please ask if you need help doing so." Ragnok puts a pin needle and a potion bottle onto the desk.

Lea grabs the needle and bottle, then turns to Harry. "I am going to prick one of your fingers with this needle, and then we are going to let your blood drop seven times."

"Why do I have to do this?" Harry whispers and then realizes he said that out loud. He braces for Lea to scold him.

Lea gently pats Harry's head to try to comfort him. "We are doing this because this will help us know how you are sick. I can't help you if I don't know what is wrong." Lea gently explains. Harry seems comforted and is willing to do it, but he still seems a little scared. "Would it help you feel better if I went first?" Harry gives a little nod. "Ok. Here, will you please hold the bottle for me?" Lea asks as she hands Harry the bottle.

Harry holds the bottle as if he were given an important mission. Lea smiles and then pricks a finger. "Help me count, Harry."

"One, two, three, ... , seven," Lea and Harry count together. After they are done, Lea takes away her finger and gives the bottle back to Ragnok. Ragnok passes a band-aid. Lea lets Harry put the band-aid on her wound. Ragnok explains that it is best for the injury to be healed naturally to avoid magical complications.

While they are doing that, Ragnok puts some kind of liquid into the bottle with Lea's blood. He then casts a spell that causes the bottle to spin, mixing its contents.

"How was that Harry? You think you can do it now? Will you let me prick your finger?"

"Yes, I trust you Lea." Harry says with a nervous smile. They go through the same process with Harry and a different bottle. Lea puts a band-aid on Harry's finger and gives his bottle to Ragnok, who repeats the same process.

When the liquids are done mixing, Ragnok pours our bottles onto separate rolls of parchment. He briefly looks over the results to make sure everything is in order and becomes lost for words. He shakily hands us our results with a gaping mouth.

Lea looks at her parchment and makes a shocked face. However, she remembers that she has to prioritize Harry's health first and puts her parchment away into her backpack. She will have to go over it with Harry once he is back to normal and they are safe. At least she has a vault.

Lea looks over Harry's shoulder to read his results.

Ignoring the rest of the information for now, Lea focuses on the intelligence limitation. While there is only a 5% decrease, it seems to consider the age of his body rather than his mind. This block took into account his child's body and then made him less intelligent. That is why he went from acting like an adult to acting like a child.

Harry looks like he is trying his best to read his inheritance test, but is seemingly confused. Lea looks at Ragnok and asks, "Can I pay for goblin healers to undo Harry's blocks and heal him?"

"You can," Ragnok replies, "Though we can't get rid of the locked skills. However, a wizard healer should be able to do the same thing. Why don't you two go to St. Mungos? You wizards usually prefer to be treated by your own kind," Ragnok recommends, sounding slightly more respectful than before.

"I would like you guys to treat him if I have enough money for it. Will you please look into my open vault to see if it is enough?" Lea earnestly replies.

Ragnok gives a small look of astonishment. Lea wonders if a wizard has ever asked the goblins to heal them. Lea doesn't trust St. Mungos to keep a secret for two kindergartners without their guardian, especially with one of them being Harry Potter. Lea wouldn't be surprised if Dumbledore would have been contacted right as they entered St. Mungos. She can't let Dumbledore know where Harry is. All those fanfictions and these blocks make Dumbledore a prime suspect for hurting Harry. Lea wonders if she will be able to convince Harry to at least consider suspecting Dumbledore when he has looked up to him for so long.

After Ragnok controls his emotions, he checks Lea's vault to see what was in it. "Well, that is quite the coincidence. You have a little over exactly the amount needed to cover the removal of all the blocks. You are also able to give him healing treatment with the money you have left."

Lea doesn't believe it's a coincidence; she believes Fate is why she has the amount she needs due to her inheritance test calling it the Clotho vault. Lea believes Clotho was another name for fate, or the name of one of the three fates, she can't remember completely. "That's great! Please heal him as soon as possible."

Harry gets worried and grabs Lea's hand. "Can you stay with me?"

Lea turns to Ragnok, "How much of the process can I stay with him?"

Ragnok smiles, at least Lea thinks he smiled, "You can stay with him the whole time. You can even keep holding hands throughout the procedure," Ragnok says while gesturing to their hands.

Harry seems to relax after realizing Lea will be there with him.

Lea and Harry get escorted to a room that has a big runic circle and a bed in the middle. Harry lays on the bed with Lea standing next to him as a few goblins that looked like shamans entered. They held big wooden staffs decorated with various natural materials like vines and flowers. The goblin shamans spoke in their own language to cast a spell onto Lea, allowing her to be in the runic circle without affecting or being affected by the circle.

The goblin shamans surround the runic circle and start chanting in goblin speak. We decided to unblock Harry's intelligence first. The rituals are not the most comfortable things, and Lea wasn't sure little Harry would be able to go through them all, especially with the mind of a young child. Also, the goblins said it will be the easiest out of all the blocks since it originally was the smallest block, meaning less magic was used.

Harry grunts and squeezes Lea's hand. His other hand goes to his head; it seems like he is having a big headache. Luckily, Harry doesn't have to stay still as long as he stays on the bed.

Harry passed out, but showed signs of waking up before anyone could worry. Harry opens his eyes, blinking a few times before looking at Lea.

Lea asks, "How are you feeling?"

"Like I'm myself again," Harry sighs in relief, "Lea?"

"Yes?" Lea questions.

Harry gives Lea a big smile, "Thank you."
