Lucky Spin: Godly Programming

Chapter 107: Finally a reply

Author's Comment:

I've received a lot of reviews and comments, mostly about fillers. I just want to say that I'm not trying to drag things out for the sake of more chapters.

What I'm really aiming for is to enrich the atmosphere and give each character some depth, so you can better understand who they are and how their personalities differ.

Even if these parts don't have a major impact on the main plot, they still have meaning. They help build the world and make the characters feel more real. I hope that makes sense ๐Ÿ˜”

So with that, I've decided to stick with some of your ideas. I'll continue adding depth to the story and characters, but only if its necessary.

Also, for the coding parts, I'm going to simplify or remove the real technical stuff(Coding parts), since I understand that not everyone can follow or enjoy the heavy code details.

If you have any suggestions, I am very open to them. Feedback helps me see what I might be lacking, especially from real coders who may be reading this and wondering why he only uses Python despite being a godly programmer.

Well, I did mention it at the start of the chapter that Python is his favorite language and mine too. Because it works perfectly for the kind of work he's doing right now, so there's no real need to switch.

So, in order to make his skills feel more realistic, I've decided to incorporate multiple programming languages throughout the story. After all, a true godly programmer should be versatile.

That's all for now. Thank you so much for the comments and reviews. I really appreciate all the support for this book.

Toodles to you all ๐Ÿ˜€

"I think you've already learned your lesson, right?" Rose said standing there as she glared at him while sitting in the sofa.

Jeff nodded, his face was covered in bruises as if he had just been thoroughly beaten.

"Good. Then go ahead and return to your room."

Jeff nodded again and was about to stand up when Rose suddenly moved in front of him, blocking his way.

This made him furrow his brows, wondering what he had done wrong this time. The two locked eyes, neither of them speaking.

"Ahhh Aunt, didn't you say to go back to my room?" he asked feeling confused.

"Yes, I did say that. But are you forgetting something?" she replied, her gaze sharp and scrutinizing.

"Forget? What did I forget?" he thought to himself, trying to recall something.

He paused, thinking hard to understand what she was talking about or what she was referring to. Seeing him take so long only made her angrier.

She clenched her fist and smacked him on the head. Jeff could see the movement clearly, the swing was very slow due to his enhanced senses.

But he knew that if he dodged, something worse would follow. So, he took the hit without moving. The fist landed squarely on his head.

"Don't tell me you forgot your girlfriend over there? You want to sleep but you're leaving her alone in the living room. You're not much of a gentleman," she scorned.

"But she is not my girlfriend," he wanted to scream out, but instead, he let out a quiet sigh.

With that, he carried Jessica who was still asleep, as Rose locked her gaze towards him. He was genuinely surprised she had not woken up after all that time had passed.

Holding her in a princess carry, he walked toward the stairs. Rose did not block his path this time, but he could feel her gaze following him with every step.

Even as he climbed the stairs, once he was finally out of her sight, he breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

After walking for a while, he arrived at Jessica's room. He extended his hand to the door, but it only rattled and refused to open.

It was locked!

"Hmm, it's locked of course," he muttered under his breath.

So he decided to wake the girl in his arms to borrow the keys. But as he glanced down, what greeted him nearly made his heart skip a beat.

Jessica was still fast asleep, completely undisturbed by everything that had happened. She nestled against his chest like a kitten curled up in a basket of warmth.

Her head rested just below his collarbone, tilting slightly to the side with strands of her hair falling gently over her cheeks like threads of silk.

Her cherry lips parted slightly, and her breathing was soft, like the gentle rhythm of waves kissing a quiet shore.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable in her sleep, Jessica unconsciously shifted. Her arms wrapped around his side, lightly clinging to his shirt.

One of her legs had drawn in closer, pulling her figure inward as if she were afraid of the cold or simply chasing the comfort she felt in his embrace.

Her body was light, and her skin glowed faintly under the soft hallway light.

In that moment, she looked less like a girl and more like a painting caught between innocence and serenity.

"Damn, did she become more beautiful by just sleeping?" He groaned inwardly.

But he felt no lust as he looked at this scene. The feeling she gave was only admiration, something pure and quiet, fitting for the angelic girl resting in his arms.

He then shook his head, reminding himself of his mission. His arms, still hooked under her knees, adjusted slightly as he readjusted.

And the arm wrapped behind her back during the princess carry held her steady as he gently poked her cheek with two fingers, in that particular arm.

"Hey, the door is locked. Can you wake up for a moment?" he whispered softly.

Jessica did not stir much, not really, but her cheek twitched slightly from the poke, and she let out a small sleepy sound.

"Mmm... Hmm~..." she murmured before squirming lightly in his arms like a cat seeking a warmer spot.

Her face burrowed against his chest as she let out a faint, happy hum, cuddling even closer.

A soft blush spread across Jeff's face. For a moment, he felt the urge to gently pet her, but thankfully his self-control held firm.

To avoid letting this continue any further, he went to his room and gently placed her on his bed.

As she lay there sleeping, he noticed her brows narrow slightly as her arms reached out, searching for something.

She found his pillow and quilt, hugging them tightly like a big teddy bear.

Seeing her sleep so calmly, completely at ease even with a man in the room, made him pause in silence.

This made Jeff wonder if she even saw him as a man or just someone harmless. After all, no girl would feel this comfortable sleeping alone in a man's room and this is the third time.

Shaking the thought from his mind, he remembered something important. He sat down in his seat, placed his laptop on the table, and powered it on.

Once it booted up, he opened his machine's hidden bootloader, navigating to the ghost partition buried deep inside.

This was EIDOLUX, his personally built GVS, he selected it and began the boot sequence.

The screen flickered as lines of fake BIOS errors and corrupted shell messages danced across the display.

Then he typed in his unique keystroke pattern, one only he could replicate. With that, the illusion peeled away, revealing the true system hidden beneath.

Jeff wanted to check if he had received a reply from Cyberquest to Marcus's inbox, so he could not afford to access it through any normal operating system.

Not after everything he had built. One wrong move and it would all be gone.

That was why every interaction had to stay clean, off the grid, and completely anonymous, just like how he started it.

He leaned back slightly as the interface finished loading. Now it was time to see if Marcus had made it into Cyberquest.

Sure enough, a new email appeared in the inbox. The sight of it sent a thrill through him.
