"Riezekiel" Lester paused on his food, his face fixed on the entrance of the courtyard where Riezekiel stood tall "commander" Athena fidgeted seeing Riezekiel's face devoid of warmth "your father told me, she's awake now" Riezekiel's words were slow and measured, his black orbs fixed directly on Zosia who sat with her eyes closed and her head whipped back. The intensity behind those black eyes predatory, Zosia's eyes opened slowly revealing a pair of fiery red orbs like free fire, taking in the visage of this stranger without a hint of amusement "Mors?" The name rolled out of her lips oddly familiar yet unfamiliar "please come in commander, she woke up earlier this morning "Athena smiled warmly her head lowered and her words sorted, Riezekiel alaswalked in, in slow strides before sitting himself on the stone chair, his cold eyes rested on Zosia who drummed her finger softly on the wooden table, her cold eyes taking in his visage. Though his skin was brown and tanned he better looking than all the men she had seen so far
"How do you feel now...better?" Riezekiel asked his voice a low rumble sounded oddly seductive "just need to sleep a bit" Zosia replied cooly her eyes as cold as frost, Riezekiel sighed softly "then you should get some sleep to get better, rest well I'll be on my way" with that said he stood up taking out a small bag of food from his space pocket, which he handed to Zosia "thanks" she chuckled and with a nod Riezekiel left the yard quickly.
"So scary" Athena nearly collapsed however Lester caught her "even I couldn't speak properly" Lester chuckled "big sister is so strong" Liliana giggled as she stood up and ran off "Liliana….." Lance stood up and chased after his naughty sister, he was scared she'd get into trouble or get injured "big sis is so brave"Liam giggled as he also ran off
"Naughty" Athena scolded however her face bore a genuine smile as she begun to clear the dishes "I'll go exchange the beast for coins at the market " Lester stood up handing Athena a portion of meat to use for the house and another portion for his father "brother in law your nieces haven't eaten meat in a weak they're growing" Winnie frowned as she walked out, seeing the pound of meat to be given to that old man she was furious "sister in law, the children haven't eaten any fish or sea food for two months, I saw brother in law carrying a full basket into the house earlier" Athena smiled, a smile which didn't reach her eyes.
Zosia chuckled at the turn out of events
She had to admit watching Winnie turn green in envy was satisfying oddly enough
"What are you laughing at! There's little fish for the nieces to eat, where would I find the ones to share! And you wouldn't understand anything so white and tender unable to work" Winnie eyed Zosia hatefully
That milky skin and Zosia's beauty unnerved her, what right did Zosia have to be so beautiful and fair while she looked so thin and tanned. Compared to Zosia's full chest which was heavy from every angle and her perky butt, she Winnie was as flat as a board
How could she not hate!
"There's not enough meat to spare, the patient still needs to nourish her health" before Lester could soften his heart and share the meat Athena carried them into the house ignoring Winnie's hateful stares "brother in law!" Winnie stomped her feet angrily, she couldn't lose out on that meat no matter what "wife is right" Lester sighed as he hurried away before she could tie him down any further
Winnie's face twisted with anger, she turned glaring hatefully at Zosia "we drink porridge! They drink soup, who's losing obviously not me!" She snorted and headed into the house with a huff. This time Zosia genuinely laughed finding Winnie too comical
"she wants all the good stuff but is unwilling to share hers" Athena walked back out with a small frown on her face which made her look quite adorable "you should listen to father and get married quickly, the whole community already knows commander saved you and some loud mouths would do anything to soil your reputation" Athena glanced sideways at Winnie's home "you worry too much sister in law" Zosia commented as she watched Athena clear the table "you're so beautiful, who wouldn't envy look at me at twenty one, I already have 3 kids and I'm preparing for the fourth" Athena smiled bashfully as she rubbed her belly
"I'm only seventeen sister" Zosia replied "more reason you should get married quickly those men can't be trusted you know, once they see beauty they start acting crazy" Athena sighed as she stared at Zosia's face which was so white it was almost translucent
"I'll listen to you then" Zosia nodded reluctant to push the conversation further "I'll go pick vegetables at the back mountain, you should rest while I'm out " Athena finally said as she prepared her basket for her journey "I'll Accompany you….. it's boring being in here all by myself " and with that said Zosia and Athena made to the back mountain on foot, their trip was indeed a good one as Zosia spotted a handful of wild vegetables like chili's, ginger, scallions and mushrooms
"Sister in law, those are highly toxic, wang's son lost his life to that" Athena pointed to the mushrooms, to this Zosia raised a brow "there are poisonous and non poisonous mushrooms sister in law" Zosia replied Cooly however Athena merely shaked her head, to her Zosia wasn't well informed
"Those aren't edible throw them away" Athena added as she then continued to walk, her eyes darting around as she gathered several wild vegetables . Luck was good as they found two large wild chicken eggs "I'll exchange this for flour" Athena smiled wildly while Zosia raised a brow at her thrifty nature, they continued to gather vegetables and then fire wood before heading back
Once home Athena begun to wash the vegetables while Zosia sat to the side watching the sun set
"You should go rest quickly, I'll do the rest" Athena sighed seeing Zosia like that, she wondered if Zosia did miss home "mommy" the kids ran in happily, in their hands were spoils from playing with other children "come big sis has some things for you" Zosia called to the children and they hurdled around her immediately their eyes full of expectations and urgency "what good stuff big sis?" Liam asked unable to contain his excitement while Liliana climbed into Zosia's arms
Out of her spacial pocket she took out the bag of food Riezekiel had given her handing a large bun, the size of an adult palm to each vhild "smells so good" Lance licked his lips, staring at the large delicious oily bun "you should keep the delicious things for yourself" Athena argued however Zosia handed a bun each to each child " thanks big sis" the children happily bit into the bun, the rich flavors of meat and vegetables made their mouths water. The buns were indeed rich and would surely be expensive
"so delicious" Liliana muttered as she stuffed her mouth full, the cook hadn't skimped on the meat, there was in fact a lot of it and to this Athena was sure it was expensive. The children were soon done with the buns and ran off happily, their giggles could be heard from the yard
"for you" Zosia took out another piece for Athena "I don't need such good stuffs..,, you should eat it, you haven't recovered yet" Athena stubbornly argued refusing to touch the buns, her children had eaten and she didn't want to short change the other
"I have mine here" Zosia took out another bun, took a bite from it then she passed a medium sized bag of flour to Athena
For dinner Zosia gave Athena instructions on how to go about cooking and the turn out was indeed very delicious
"Yummy" Liliana licked her lips happily, her big doe eyes squinted in satisfaction
