LOVE BEYOND TIME

Chapter 6: Chapter Six: Powers Unleashed

As Maya and Azazel stood in the underworld, Maya's memories of their past life flooding back, she felt a sense of joy and wonder. But Azazel's expression was serious, his eyes clouded with concern.

"My love," he said, his voice low and urgent. "We can't stay here. Xorvath, he's still out there, and he'll stop at nothing to claim your powers for himself."

Maya's eyes widened as she remembered the pain and suffering she had endured at Xorvath's hands in her past life. She knew that she couldn't let him get away with it.

"What can we do?" Maya asked, her voice firm with determination.

Azazel's eyes locked onto hers, filled with a fierce protectiveness. "We'll face him together," he said. "We'll defeat him and make sure you can master your powers again and I will make sure he can never hurt you again."

But as they prepared to leave the throne room, Maya couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She looked around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Azazel's eyes narrowed, his senses on high alert. "I sense something," he said. "Xorvath's minions, they're nearby. We need to be careful."

Maya's heart pounded in her chest as she realized that the danger was far from over. Xorvath's minions were closing in, and she and Azazel would have to fight to protect themselves and their love.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. A tall, imposing figure with eyes that glowed like embers, Valtor.

"Azazel," the figure growled. "You'll never protect her. Xorvath will claim her powers, and there's nothing you can do to stop it."

Azazel's eyes flashed with anger, and he stepped forward, his power radiating from him like a palpable force.

"You're wrong, Valtor," he said, his voice deadly. "I'll do whatever it takes to protect Maya. She's my mate, and I won't let anyone harm her."

The figure snarled, baring its teeth, and charged at Azazel and Maya.

Valtor, Xorvath's strongest minion, a towering figure with razor-sharp claws, appeared in the underworld, his eyes scanning the caverns for any sign of Maya and Azazel. He had been sent to capture Maya and bring her back to his master, but he was not prepared for the fierce resistance he would face.

As he tracked Maya and Azazel through the underworld, he finally found them standing together in a grand throne room. Maya's eyes flashed with determination as she saw the minion, and Azazel's power radiated from him like a palpable force.

Valtor charged at them, but Maya was not afraid. With a fierce cry, she unleashed her powers, striking the minion with a blast of energy. Azazel joined the fight, his own powers combining with Maya's to overwhelm the minion.

Together, they defeated Valtor, sending him tumbling to the ground. As he struggled to get back to his feet, Maya and Azazel stood over him, their eyes blazing with triumph.

Valtor glared up at them, his eyes filled with hatred. "You'll pay for this," he snarled, before disappearing in a flash of darkness.

When he returned to the Xorvath's lair, he reported back to his master. "Maya has regained her powers," he said, his voice shaking with fear. "And Azazel is protecting her. We will not be able to defeat them easily."

Xorvath's eyes narrowed, his face twisted with rage. "I will not be foiled again," he growled. "Prepare the next phase of our plan. We will crush Maya and Azazel once and for all."

Meanwhile, Azazel turned to Maya, his eyes filled with concern. "My love, it's not safe for you to stay here," he said. "You need to return to the modern world, continue living your life as normal. I'll protect you from afar."

Maya's eyes locked onto Azazel's, filled with a mix of emotions. She knew that she couldn't stay in the underworld forever, but she also didn't want to leave Azazel's side.

"Okay," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll go back. But promise me you'll come for me when it's safe."

Azazel's eyes filled with love and adoration. "I promise, my love," he said. "I'll always come for you."

Maya sat in her dorm room, staring at her laptop screen as she tried to focus on her on her studies. But her mind kept wandering back to Azazel and the underworld. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched, that Xorvath's minions were closing in.

As she walked across campus with her friends, Maya noticed strange occurrences happening around her. Students would stare at her, whispering to each other, and she would catch glimpses of shadowy figures lurking in the corners.

Her friend Emma asked "Maya is everything okay." looked at Maya suspiciously.

"Nothing am fine," Maya answered.

"Cause you have been acting strange lately." Lydia said.

"Am just thinking about our incoming exams." Maya said.

Maya knew that she couldn't let her guard down, not even for a moment. She had to be vigilant, ready to defend herself at any moment.

One evening, as she was walking back to her dorm, Maya saw a figure following her. She quickened her pace, her heart pounding in her chest. But the figure kept pace with her, always lurking just out of sight.

Maya knew that she had to lose him. She ducked into a nearby library, hoping to shake the figure off her tail. But as she turned to face him, she saw that it was one of Xorvath's minions, his eyes glowing with malevolent intent.

The minion sneered at Maya, his voice dripping with malice. "You think you can hide from us?" he said. "You think Azazel can protect you? We'll show you what true power looks like."

Maya stood tall, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she had to defend herself, but she was scared. Just as the minion was about to attack, Maya's phone buzzed with a text from Azazel. "I'm on my way," the message read. "Hold on."

Maya's eyes locked onto the minion, her determination growing. She knew that Azazel was coming, and she was ready to fight back.

As the minion sneered at Maya, his eyes flashing with malevolent intent, Maya felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins. She knew that she had to defend herself, but she was scared.

Just as the minion was about to attack, Maya remembered the words of Azazel, "Your powers are growing stronger, my love. You just need to tap into them."

Maya focused her energy, feeling the power coursing through her veins. She raised her hands, and a blast of energy shot out, striking the minion and sending him flying across the room.

The minion struggled to get back to his feet, but Maya was ready. She summoned more energy, and the minion was engulfed in a blast of power that sent him tumbling to the ground.

As the minion dissipated into nothingness, Maya felt a sense of pride and empowerment. She had defended herself, and she knew that she was getting stronger.

Just then, Azazel appeared beside her, his eyes filled with pride and admiration. "Well done, my love," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "You're getting stronger every day."

Maya smiled, feeling a sense of relief and gratitude. She knew that she wasn't alone, and that Azazel was always there to protect her.

But as they stood there, Maya couldn't shake off the feeling that Xorvath was getting closer, that his minions were closing in. She knew that she had to be vigilant, ready to defend herself at any moment.

Azazel's eyes locked onto hers, filled with a serious expression. "We'll get through this together, my love," he said. "We'll defeat Xorvath and keep you safe."

Maya nodded, feeling a sense of determination. She was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, as long as Azazel was by her side.
