Chapter 192: The Final Moment
The little leader was clearly shocked and he grabbed the newcomer, asking sharply, "Say it again, what happened to those teleportation magic arrays?"
"They've stopped working. Our people, with a batch of newly mined purple gold ore, were preparing to use the teleportation magic array as usual, and everyone who went in was ejected," the mysterious people were at a loss and could only return to report to the little leader immediately.
"Impossible, the magic arrays drawn by the master's command were all from the most skilled mages in the country," the little leader's face was filled with disbelief, and he promptly took his men straight to the magic arrays.
"Take those two women along," he glanced back at Yun Sheng and Sixth Son's mother, ordering their addition to the group.
Yun Sheng, without batting an eye, followed the mysterious people along with Sixth Son's mother to the front of the teleportation magic arrays.
Just as the mysterious people had described earlier, those teleportation magic arrays were now dim and lightless.
Yun Sheng also noticed that within those magic arrays, there was a complete absence of space-time attribute magic elements, as if someone had sucked out all the magic elements all at once before.
It was exactly the same situation as with the Thunderstorm Magic Arrays, and Yun Sheng couldn't help but be surprised.
Who could be such a mysterious person to break so many formidable magic arrays all at once.
The more the mysterious little leader thought about it, the more he felt that something was not right. "Bring over all those villagers, as well as those two women; escort them all to the cave," he ordered.
What the mysterious little leader knew best was that these teleportation magic arrays led to the carefully arranged magic refining factory of their master. Now that the magic arrays had suddenly become ineffective, their connection with the other side was severed.
Most likely something drastic had happened at the refining factory.
Millions worth of top-grade purple gold! Alongside the nearly a hundred mages from their master's household.
At this moment, all the mysterious little leader could do was pray that the mages and the top-grade purple gold were safe, otherwise...
He dared not think further; all he could think of was to move the remaining purple gold ore by any means necessary so that, at the very least, he could be accountable to the master.
"Is there any activity inside?" the little leader and the remaining mysterious people drove over the rest of the villagers, nearing a hundred, to the exterior of the mine.
"No situation at all, everything is quiet," a few mysterious people guarding the outside of the mine saw the little leader bringing a crowd over, unsure of what was happening.
"I suspect someone has infiltrated the mining area. The magic arrays outside have all been destroyed. Drive these people in," the little leader was astute, fearing that enemies lurking in the shadows had already entered the mine, so he herded the remaining villagers inside first.
Then he waited outside, listening for any disturbances within.
Meanwhile, Sixth Son's father, waiting in the kitchen, was getting anxious after not seeing Yun Sheng and Sixth Son's mother return for a long time.
Checking the time and seeing it was about right, he took out a Flame Arrow given to him by Yun Sheng before she left and launched it into the sky.
The Flame Arrow flew into the sky and exploded midair, releasing a signal smoke.
Almost simultaneously, Yun Canglang and hundreds of Hunter Soldiers lying in ambush outside the mining area all received the signal.
"Everyone, charge in!"
"What's that noise!" The little leader had just herded a group of villagers inside and, hearing no commotion for a while, his expression changed when he heard the signal from the Flame Arrow.
"My lord, something's wrong, there's a lot of Hunter Soldiers charging in from outside!" reported a mysterious person who had been on the lookout outside.
"Take out everyone inside!" Hearing this, the leader of the several hundred Hunter Soldiers? realized that he had fallen into the opponent's trick. Most of his mages were gone, and there were only about a hundred left.
Once the elite Hunter Soldiers of the other side showed up, they were hard to resist; the only option was to use the hundreds of hostages at hand.
But when they rushed into the mine, where were the villagers?
"Not a single one left, how is this possible?!" The underling of the mysterious people was struck by lightning, staring at the empty cave, speechless.
"Who said there's nobody left? I've been here waiting for you," a crisp voice echoed from a corner of the mine.
Standing amongst the fatally tempting Purple Gold Ore was a young boy.
The subordinate of the mysterious people immediately recognized him; it was the young cook who had earlier brought them food.
"Who are you?" The underling still couldn't understand how all the villagers had disappeared in an instant.
"Sky Hunting Corps, Yun Canglang." Yun Sheng smiled beautifully; despite her young age, she was beautiful, and in that smile, the group of mysterious people felt dazzled.
"Hunter Soldier! You are with that group of Hunter Soldiers outside. Well played, Sky Hunting Corps. I didn't expect we'd fall for your plot. But really, you're a fearless one, aren't you? Do you really think you alone can fight us?" The mysterious underling couldn't help shaking his head, thinking the young girl was foolish. At this time, she should be hiding.
"Who told you I was alone," Yun Sheng pouted, pulling out her Magic Wand.
"A Mage?! So what if you are, even if you're a High-level Mage, we can capture you while you're Magic Chanting," with a wave of his hand, dozens of the mysterious men pounced on Yun Sheng like hungry wolves.
Mages naturally had a disadvantage, let alone a young wizard.
"Never underestimate your enemy, fools!" Yun Sheng's lips slightly curled, and she pointed her Magic Wand at the ground, a Summoning Array appeared at her feet.
The ground churned, and Purple Gold Ore tumbled everywhere.
A horrendous Demon Beast the size of a calf, with a hundred legs, emerged from the ground.
A Demon Beast?!
Could it be that she wasn't just an ordinary Mage but also a Summoner?
When that unknown breed of Demon Beast appeared, the underling realized that his Wind Hounds were shaking in fear. Even though he wasn't a Summoner, he could feel the terrible pressure emanating from the Demon Beast.
Such pressure, not even on the Crown Prince's mount, the Ninth Rank Dragon Horse, had it been felt.
Could it be that this was an existence beyond Ninth Rank.
"Too bad, if you guys had obediently eaten the poisoned food I prepared for you, you could have died a satiated death. Now, you'll just have to feed my Centipede Ant General. Ant General, spare none," Yun Sheng's eyes flashed, her face showing a stern intention to kill.
She simultaneously fired several Flame Arrows from her Magic Wand, and the Centipede Ant General took flight, its venomous spray from its mouth causing flesh to rot upon contact.
Inside the mine, blood and meat flew in all directions.
The subordinate of the mysterious people was quickly forced to retreat step by step.
