Chapter 90: Roles Distribution
Everyone gradually sat down to begin the discussion. A waiter in brown shirt came to took their order.
They ordered some delicious beast meats and vegetables.
And person who was treating them was none other than Felix Sanguine, the scion of a noble family.
Ryuzen patiently listened to other words. Although, he wanted to stay alone, but circumstances led him to this team. Or maybe the human consciousness in the dragon vessel, always eager for humanly contacts. As a human, he couldn't endure the solitary and lonely life of dragons.
Besides, the world outside is too dangerous.
So, now that he become part of the team, he decided to give his best.
Luthor, the eldest among them, cleared his throat with a deliberate cough. The casual atmosphere instantly shifted. The others straightened in their seats, eyes focused on him.
"Everyone, the reason we arranged this meeting today is simple. We need to know each other better and decide who will take what role if we're to become a true team."
He glanced around the table, his gaze lingering on each face, firm but encouraging.
"The Commanders of the Blood Legion didn't become legends overnight. They went through storms together, faced crisis after crisis, and emerged stronger each time. They endured failures, bled for each other, and grew because of it. Their rise wasn't about power alone. It was about unity. Trust. Understanding."
A pause followed. Only the soft clinking of cutlery from distant tables filled the silence.
Luthor leaned forward, placing both hands on the table. His presence felt heavier, more commanding now.
"If we truly aim to reach their level, to earn a place among the Six Legendary Commanders of the Horizon Alliance, then we have to start here. Today. We need to organize ourselves—not just as fighters, but as a cohesive force."
He motioned toward Ryuzen. "Each of us has a different system. A unique strength. We'll never face the Hollows or whatever's coming as individuals. But if we align our systems, build a chain of synergy, then we'll have something powerful."
His eyes gleamed with a steady fire. "Only then can we challenge the future… and maybe, just maybe, become the heroes this age is waiting for."
Rudos shrugged.
He leaned back in his seat, folding his arms with a smug look. "Well, you five can figure out your roles. I'm the healer. No one matches me when it comes to keeping people alive," he said with absolute confidence.
Felix gave a small chuckle. "True. No one's questioning your role, Rudos. But the leader's role is still undecided…"
"Ooh, a party leader? I'd love to throw my name in the ring," Irina chimed in, a cheerful sparkle in her eyes. "I'm great at handling pressure and giving orders."
No one disrespected her choice.
"I'd like to nominate myself as well," Luthor followed, his voice firm and steady. "I've already led several small units in training simulations. Strategy, coordination, keeping morale up—I've done it all."
His calm demeanor already spoke volumes about his capability.
Felix and Rudos didn't seemed to be fond of that position either.
But Ryuzen and Venus remained quiet. The two exchanged a glance that held more mutual understanding than words could convey.
Felix then turned toward them with a soft smile. "What about you two? Don't either of you want to take the lead?"
Ryuzen was about to respond, but Venus beat him to it. "I'm not suited for leadership. But I'd like to be the frontline aggressor," she said clearly, eyes unwavering. "With my enhanced physical strength and defensive stats, that position fits me best."
Ryuzen nodded in agreement. "Same. I'm more of a damage dealer. Most of my skills are offensive in nature, so my best contribution would be outputting high burst damage when it counts."
Ryuzen knew he wasn't suitable for leadership. There's many hassle for team leader to manage. So he opted out that role.
Luthor chuckled, nodding toward Ryuzen. "We figured as much. Your 'Fire Salamander' title is already making waves in the City. Important people are starting to take notice."
The tension around the table eased, replaced by an unspoken respect. Everyone here was strong. But more importantly, they were beginning to understand their roles.
The foundation of a true team had just started to form.
After hours of discussion, light arguments, and moments of laughter, the roles within the Second Blood Legion were finally decided. It wasn't just about assigning positions—it was about acknowledging each other's strengths and building the foundation of something real.
Leader: Luthor Damon.
With his natural charisma, tactical mind, and a body built like a fortress, he was unanimously chosen as the leader. He would also act as the team's primary Tank, capable of withstanding brutal hits on the frontlines.
Although, they weren't aware there's another hidden tank among them.
DPS (Damage Dealers): Venus and Ryuzen.
Venus, with her unmatched physical strength and defensive resilience, would dominate the battlefield as a melee juggernaut.
Ryuzen, armed with a barrage of offensive skills and draconic ferocity, would bring devastation from mid-to-close range, overwhelming enemies with raw power.
Healer: Rudos Forger.
Despite his small stature and playful demeanor, Rudos held terrifying mastery over Cursed Healing, a technique that could heal allies while simultaneously inflicting backlash on enemies who dared to interrupt him. He was their lifeline in prolonged battles.
Scout: Irina Raiku.
Fast, stealthy, and unpredictable. With her Clone System, Irina could explore dangerous terrain, gather intel, and mark threats. Even if it meant risking her life, she'd do it with a grin.
Controller: Felix Von Sanguine.
The noble and elegant tactician. With his Blood Arts, Felix could restrain, manipulate, or debilitate enemies within a radius. His role was to disrupt enemy formations and tilt the battle in their favor before it even began.
With their roles set and purpose aligned, the Second Blood Legion wasn't just a team anymore. They were a unit—each one a sharp edge of the same weapon, forged not just to survive the Hollow incursions… but to rise as legends in this new age.
